Semifinalists 34–45 Sergey Belyavsky

Born into a family of musicians, Sergey was only 11 when he won his first international competition, and at 12 he performed his first recital. Since then his concert performances have spanned the globe. By the age of 24, Sergey had toured and performed in 28 different countries all over the world.

Since 2005, Sergey has become a multiple prize winner of more than 30 competitions and festivals, having won the Bronze Medal at GINA BACHAUER International Artists Competition, SLC, USA; Second & Audience Prizes at FRANZ LISZT International Piano Competition, Budapest, Hungary; Second & Audience Prizes at MARIA CANALS International Piano Competition, Barcelona, Spain etc.

Sergey honed his mastery with Eliso Virsaladze, Arie Vardi, Lev Natochenny, Marian Rybicki. Currently Sergey is studying at Park University in Kansas City with Golden Prize Winner of the 11th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, Prof. Stanislav Ioudenitch.

In March 2022, Sergey participated in a very special event condemning the Russian aggression in Ukraine – Ukraine Peace Benefit Concert, held in St. Paulus Church in Frankfurt am Main, organized by City of Frankfurt am Main and the International Piano Forum Frankfurt.

Sergey has released three solo CDs, most recently of Chopin’s 24 Etudes.
