SummerTime! Willkommen in der schönsten Zeit des Jahres, in der wir endlich von der grauen Winterzeit erlöst sind und uns euphorisch von Festival zu Festival schwingen. Wilkommen in der Welt der Worte, in der jeder Buchstabe sein eigenes kurzes Leben hat, bis er von seinem Nachkommen erlöst wird, sich aber trotzdem über sein Dasein erfreute. Ja meine Lieben! Willkommen zum 14. Geburtstag Deiner geliebten Goa Bravo, welche Dir in guten wie in schlechten Zeiten immer stetiger Tripbegleiter war. Das vierzehnte Lebensjahr bedeutet in Deutschland ja endlich frei zu sein in der Wahl der Religion. Wir haben uns ja bereits vor Lichtjahren entschieden, dass dies Trance in allen Formen und Farben sein soll. Und auch wenn unser geliebter Sound immer mehr hin- und hermorpht, sich mit anderen Klangbildern mischt um neue Kunstwerke zu schaffen, ist unsere Community doch immer noch etwas ganz Besonderes. Das sollte uns allen klar sein, wenn wir auf mehr oder weniger psychedelische Soundsafari gehen und uns mit breit grinsendem Gesicht auf den Floors des Sommers gegenüberstehen. Mit dem 14. Geburtstag sind wir nun nach über sieben schönen und ereignisreichen Jahren in unserem Office in der Arnoldstraße wie im letzten Heft angekündigt in die Griegstraße 52 (natürlich in Hamburg) gezogen. Also verlauf Dich nicht, wenn Du uns mal auf einen Chai besuchen kommen möchtest. Goodbye sagen und uns für deren Arbeit beim mushroom bedanken wollen wir uns dann noch bei Kris (Verkauf) und Christiane (Abobetreuung). Wir wünschen Euch alles Gute für die Zukunft.

Welcome to the world of words, in which every letter has its own short life, until it is replaced by it successor, yet is still happy to have briefly existed. Yes my dears! Welcome to the 14th Birthday of your beloved Goa Rolling Stone which was your steady companion in both good and bad times. Reaching the fourteenth Birthday in Germany means one is finally free to officially chose ones religion. Of course we already made up our minds light years ago that this should be Trance in all its shapes and colours, and even as our beloved music morphs and mixes with various other electronic music styles, our community still remains something special to this day. This is something we can all be aware of when we venture on our more or less psychedelic sound safaris in the coming months, and behold each other on the floor with an ear to ear grin. The right locations and parties for unforgettable experiences in the coming two months can be found united in this magazine, where else. See you on the floor! Coinciding with the 14th Birthday of our magazine we have now moved our office to the Griegstreet 52 (Hamburg), as we announced in our last edition. Unsere psychedelische Kultur hat viele Ausdrucksformen. Neben Musik, Deko und Bodyart ist Kleidung ein wichtiges Element, dem sich viele Underground Designer verschrieben haben. War Trancemode in der Vergangenheit noch ein bunter Einheitsbrei, diversifiziert sich der Stil nun in verschiedenste Richtungen. Hip, chic, cool, sexy oder gleich alles auf einmal. Wir werfen in unserem diesmaligen Modespecial speziell einen Blick in den Kleiderschrank der ehemaligen Elfinnen, denn auch Fabelwesen entwickeln sich weiter... Über die klassische Funktion eines Labels hinausgehend ist Tribal Records ein ganzes Netzwerk von Szeneaktivisten und Partyveranstaltern. Sie sind vor allem in Israel und Osteuropa bekannt und organisierten zum Beispiel das größte Trance Festival in der Slovakei. Seit 2001 hat Tribal Records fünf Pychedelic Trance und Chill Out Releases veröffentlicht. Für Ende Mai steht eine weitere CD ins Haus: Labelgründer Tribal Tul wird sein zweites Album “Inspired” präsentieren. Darauf finden sich neun kraftvolle psychedelische Tracks, welche in abwechslungsreichen Kollaborationen mit Künstlern wie Eat Static, Cosmo oder PsySex entstanden sind. Tul ist sehr stolz auf

dieses Release und auch seine zwölfjährige DJ und Liveact Karriere. Er selbst beschreibt sein Album als eine „neue Referenz im Trance“. Being more than a mere label, Tribal Records is a whole network of scene activists and party promoters. They are well known in Israel as well as Eastern Europe and organized the biggest Trance festival in Slovakia for example. Founded in 2001, Tribal Records delivered five Psychedelic Trance and Chill Out releases so far and have a brand new CD to be published at the end of May: Label founder Tribal Tul will release his second album “Inspired”. As a varying collaboration with artists such as Eat Static, PsySex or Cosmo this release delivers nine powerful psychedelic tracks. M-sphere ist Markus Kaiser aus dem Sauerland und eines der Urgesteine des Goatrance. Seit 1994 begeistert er die Chiller weltweit als DJ und Produzent. 1996 erschien sein erster Track und gleichzeitig fing er an sein Studio auszubauen, absolvierte eine Ausbildung an der SAE und seit 2000 arbeitet er in seinem eigenen Studio als Radio-, TV- und Toningenieur. Fünf Jahre nach seinem Debütalbum „ Electronic Relaxation“, welches bei vielen DJs Kultstatus erlangte, erschien im März sein bisher letztes Album „Floating“ auf Yellow Sunshine Explosion. Seine Musik verfügt über eine gewaltige emotionale Tiefe und sorgt in unserer doch so hektischen Welt ein wenig für Entspannung. Inspirieren lässt Markus sich von den frühen Independent und Underground Band wie Bauhaus, Joy Division, Killing Joke, Brian Eno, Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze oder Kraftwerk. Aber trotzdem ist seine Musik anders, einzigartig. Eine Mischung aus psychedelischen Melodien und sorgfältig gestalteten Sound Effekten.

His music has a exceeding emotional deepness and in our busy time he takes care for a bit more relaxation. More and more organizers are getting more and more scary about last years‘ steadily receding number of guests at the parties. Anxious, that no single penny of the decreasing budget is wasted. Unfortunately for us saving money by cutting ads seems like the easiest way to them. Anyway, that is why we only have such a small space to prepare you for all the events this summer. Our solution is the »European Festival Map« which you can view on page 28. Like last issue we geared up with our geographical overview on the European summer. Every festival or open air event which was announced to us is placed on this map. BooM in Portugal, Glade in England, Fusion in Germany or Spirit Base in Austria, on this map you will find all the dates of events, you might already have missed. Tshitraka Project 3-9 July / Near Berlin (Germany) Man nehme: Einen alten Militärflugplatz der Sowjets, ein hochwertiges Organisationsteam, einige ausgereifte Dekoteams sowie eine Auswahl der Weltelite der Trance Musiker, verrühre alles kräftig und lasse es sieben Tage in der Julisonne ziehen. Der entstandene Cocktail wird als Tshitraka bezeichnet. Aus der Masse der Trance Festivals sticht die Tshitraka in mancherlei Hinsicht heraus. Die Location des alten Militärflugplatzes hat ein ausgesprochen spaciges Flair und nur wenige Veranstaltungen bieten die Möglich-

keit, mit einem Drink bewaffnet auf einem Hangar zu chillen und das bunte Treiben auf dem Dancefloor zu beobachten. Jener wird dieses Jahr ganze sechs Nächte und sieben Tage laufen, wobei musikalisch so ziemlich alles vertreten ist, was Rang, Namen und vor allem Groove hat. Das Line-up ist definitiv ein Hingucker, insbesondere für Freunde des Progressive Trance. Abgerundet wird dieses außergewöhnliche Festival von einigen talentierten Deko- und Lichtkünstlern sowie einer durchweg professionellen Organisation.

Take an old Soviet airbase, a highgrade organization team, some matured decoration artists and a selection of world- class Trance musicians, stir it up and let it brew for seven days in the warm summer sun. The resulting cocktail is called Tshitraka. This festival distinguishes itself from the mass of Trance festivals in several ways. The location, an old military airbase, has a very spacy flair and only at a few events you can sit on top of a hangar, sip your cocktail and watch the colourful dancefloor

Es gibt zwei Open Airs, die zurecht als Urgesteine unserer Szene gelten: Ist die VooV (VuuV) der Großvater aller Festivals, so kann die Antaris zweifelsohne die Grande Madame der Psy Trance Szene genannt werden: Schon zum vierzehnten Mal lädt diese am zweiten Juli-Wochenende zu ausgelassenem „Laugh & Dance“ ein. Hauptveranstalter Uwe hatte es in den vergangenen Jahren nicht leicht, hatte er doch mit schweren gesundheitlichen Problemen zu kämpfen. So freut es uns ganz besonders, dass er nun wieder oben auf ist und sich mit voller Energie in die Organisation der diesjährigen Antaris gestürzt hat! Seine Rückkehr macht sich in einigen Neuerungen bemerkbar: Erstmals gibt es die Spiritual Hea-

ling Arts Area mit dem Namen „Yogatown“. Dieser neue Bereich des Festivals wird vor esoterischer Dekoration nur so funkeln und bietet Raum für jede Menge Aktivitäten, die über bloßes Partymachen weit hinausgehen. Während des Festivals können die Besucher hier an Yoga, Qi-Gongund Massagekursen oder Meditationen und Trommelsessions teilnehmen und vieles mehr. Außerdem stehen eine echt indische Zermonie und ein Tablakonzert auf dem Programm. Auf dem integrierten Moviefloor wird u.a. der erste Teil des lang erwarteten Antaris-Films, „The mystery of the funkstrom“ Premiere feiern. Wer im letzten Jahr von dem abgesoffenen Mainfloor enttäuscht wurde, wird nun entschädigt: Ganze drei Nächte und vier Tage wird der prächtig dekorierte, große Dancefloor die feierwütige Meute mit exquisiten Sounds beschallen! Das Line-up ist in diesem Jahr schlichtweg gigantisch und so ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.

There are two open airs that are called the primitive rocks of Psy Trance festivals: If the VooV (VuuV) is the grandfather of festivals, than, without doubt, the Antaris Project can be called the Grande Madame of the Psy Trance scene: On the second weekend of July ‚she‘ invites the global Trance freaks for the fourteenth time already to some cheerful “Laugh & Dance”. The recent years have not been easy ones for main organizer Uwe because he had to struggle with serious health problems. So we are really happy that he is now doing well again and full of positive energy to create this years‘ Antaris Project! His return means some interesting news. This year there will be the Spritual Healing Arts Area by the name of “Yogatown” for the first time. This new area of the festival will glisten from heaps of esote-

rical decoration and enables party visitors to engage in a lot of activities that go beyond the scope of a normal party. At this area you can attend workshops in Yoga, Qui-Gong and massage, have meditation or drum sessions. Furthermore, there will be a real Indian cermony and a great tabla concert. An integrated movie floor will show as a premiere, the first part of the long awaited Antaris movie “The mystery of the funkstrom” and other movies. Anyone, who was disappointed by the drowned mainfloor last year will be compensated now: The gorgeously decorated mainfloor will run full three nights and four days! Spiritual Healing 25-27 July / Gerdshagen (Germany) Safer Party! Da in diesem Sommer die Partys immer näher zusammen rücken, auch was das Datum angeht, liegt es nur nah, die Leute gleich auf der einen Party abzuholen und auf die andere zu bringen. Zum Beispiel dieser Shuttle Service, inklusive Autoüberführungen, vom Fullmoon Festival zum Spiritual Healing Open Air und von dort aus dann weiter zum VuuV Festival ist eine gute Idee. Weiteres Highlight wird für mich auf jeden Fall die Oldschool Night am Freitag, in der Musik von 1993-1998 mich in der Zeit zurück versetzt! Wonderland 12 8-10 August / Waldfrieden (Germany) Das Wonderland wird langsam aber sicher zu einem der schönsten und buntesten Teenager im deutschsprachigen Goa-Raum. Besonders durch die günstige Lage, ist das Festival sowohl für Besucher aus dem Norden als auch aus dem Pott weit mehr als eine angenehme Alternative zum kollektiven Wahnsinn am Goa-Highway A24. Auch aus Holland und Belgien sind in den letzten Jahre immer mehr Besucher gekommen, um im Wald ihren Frieden zu finden. The Wonderland more and more becomes one of the nicest and most colourful teenagers of Germany‘s Goa society. Because of their advantageous location, this festival attracts guests from the North in the same way as from NRW. For them the Wonderland is much more than just an alternative to the collective madness at the Goa highway A24. Beat Da Street Project 2008 Sa 12. July / Madrid (Spain) Madrid hat neben der Geschäftigkeit einer Metropole sehr viel Flair und eine ganze Menge beeindruckender Kultur zu bieten. Es gibt nur ein Problem: In der spanischen Hauptstadt mangelt es akut an Locations für Trance Parties. Dies liegt jedoch keinesfalls daran, dass es keine aktive Szene gibt: Ganz im Gegenteil, hier finden sich eine ganze Menge begeisterter Trance Freaks! Und diese werden am 12. Juli zeigen, wie viel kreatives und freakiges Potential in der schönen Stadt steckt: Das Beat Da Street Kollektiv wird an diesem

Tag mit einem bunt geschmückten Truck durch die Stadt fahren und dabei einen amtlichen Straßenrave mit sich ziehen! Dabei werden nicht nur die vielen Psy Trance Kollektive vertreten sein: Von Graffiti Künstlern über Cyber Punks bis hin zu Maya Kultur wird bei diesem tanzenden Umzug eine mehr als bunte Mischung dabei sein. Nach dieser Parade geht es weiter bei einer Open Air Party in einem städtischen Amphitheater. Beim Beat Da Street Projekt spricht man nicht nur von kultureller Verschmelzung - man lebt sie!

FullMoon-Festival 16-21 July / Wittstock-Dosse (Germany)

Im Jahre 2002 tauchte in der deutschen Festivallandschaft eine neue Veranstaltung mit ungewöhnlichem Konzept auf. War das ein Druckfehler auf dem Flyer? Nein, keineswegs: Das Fullmoon-Festival fand tatsächlich während der Woche statt! Und wer die Veranstaltung besuchte fand schnell heraus, weshalb dies so war. Denn wer zu diesem Festival angereist war, hatte wirklich Lust auf die Party und hatte sich dafür extra Urlaub genommen. Und entsprechend war die Stimmung: Praktisch keine seltsamen „Gelegenheitsbesucher“ sondern nur positive, aufgeschlossene Party Fraggels. Die Bühne war in die Mitte der Tanzfläche gebaut, was die persönliche Atmosphäre noch verstärkte. Und schließlich bot der alte Militärflugplatz Alt Daber mit seinen Hangars eine außergewöhliche und reizvolle Atmosphäre für diese Veranstaltung. All dies sprach sich schnell herum und das üppige Line-Up sorgte zusätzlich dafür, dass die Fullmoon in den folgenden Jahren zum internationalsten deutschen Festival avancierte. Nachdem es in den ersten Jahren eine gewisse Konzentration auf FullOn gegeben hatte, hat sich die stilistische Bandbreite enorm vergrößert, so dass es in diesem Jahr neben einer amtlichen Portion Psytrance auch Progressive, Electro und sogar Techno zu hören geben wird. Und das gleich sechs Tage In 2002 a new event appeared on the German festival landscape. But what was this - an error in print? Not at all: The Fullmoon-Festival really took place during the week! And those who attended this event rapidly realized why. People who had traveled here were really euphoric about this party and had taken their holiday just for it. And the atmosphere was likewise: Absolutely no “casual visitors” as you might meet on some weekends, who sometimes bring negative energies to parties. Instead, there were only openminded, cheerful party fraggles from many different countries. The stage had been constructed in the middle of the dance floor which boosted the familiar atmosphere even more. And finally the location, an old military airbase with lots of hangars and a huge

Man darf also gespannt sein... runway, was a really extraordinary and attractive venue for a party. All this was rapidly communicated in the global Trance scene. And so the FullmoonFestival became the Trance festival in Germany with the most international crowd during the next years. After the intial concentration on FullOn sounds in the beginning, the musical bandwidth has expanded through time. So this year you will find not only topnotch Psytrance acts playing here but also an alternative floor where you can listen to Progressive, Electro and even Techno sounds - for full six days and five nights! Sophisticated decoration, light installations and an impressing laser show will upgrade this anyhow attractive venue even more. Watch out for this pretty special event! Der Name und das Konzept wurden im letzten Jahr geringfügig modifiziert, geändert hat das jedoch nichts: Das VuuV Festival war, ist und bleibt die absolute Kultveranstaltung unter den Trance Festivals! Es war 1991, als Scotty und Antaro die erste „VooV Experience“ veranstalteten. Zuvor hatten die beiden echten Goa Veteranen schon zahlreiche Underground Events im Norden der Republik organisiert. Von Anfang an vertraten die Veranstalter dabei das Prinzip, dass eine Party zunächst ihren Besuchern Spaß machen muss und so dann automatisch auch die Organisatoren begeistert. Eine sehr gesunde Einstellung,

wie sich im Folgenden zeigte: In den ersten Jahren verdoppelten sich die Besucherzahlen jeweils und das Festival avancierte nach und nach zu einem gewaltigen internationalen Gathering. Besonders legendär ist das Soundsystem des Mainfloors, welches den Besuchern mit seinem druckvollen und kristallklaren Sound stets eine einzigartige Erfahrung bot. Und auch die Lasershow kann als ‚state of the art‘ bezeichnet werden, ein Erlebnis welches man wohl sein Leben lang nicht vergisst. Im Jahre 2007 trennten

15-18 August / Dunaremete (Hungary) Pyramiden gibt es nicht nur in Ägypten oder Südamerika, nun wurde auch eine in Ungarn gesichtet! Und als wäre dies nicht ungewöhnlich genug, es wurden auch einige mysteriöse Holzhörner in ihrer Nähe entdeckt... Was gibt es Schöneres als an einem heißen, sonnigen Festivalnachmittag einen Sprung ins kühle Nass zu machen? Und hat nicht eine Partylocation in direkter Nähe zum Wasser immer eine ganz besondere Energie? In dieser Beziehung verspricht die Pyramiduna in Ungarn ein ganz besonderes Festival zu werden: Das Gelände ist nämlich

auf einer Insel inmitten der Donau gelegen. Auf der einen Seite wird es hier ruhige Badestellen geben, auf der anderen kann man auf eigene Verantwortung aber auch eine lustige kleine „Rafting Fahrt“ mit der Luftmatraze unternehmen. Der Mainfloor wird von zahlreichen Bäumen gesäumt, so findet sich auch an heißen Tagen ein schattiges Plätzchen zum Tanzen. Für die meisten neu sein dürfte das Soundsystem: Gigantische Hörner aus Holz säumen die Tanzfläche, aus denen die Tänzer mit exquisitem Psychedelic Sound beschallt werden.

Not only in Egypt or South America are there pyramids - now one has been discovered in Hungary! And close to it some mysterious wooden horns have been detected… Is it not the best thing to jump into some refreshing waters on a hot, sunny festival afternoon? And has not a party location close to the water always very special engery? In this respect the Pyramiduna in Hungary seems to become a pretty special festival: The venue is situated on an

island in the middle of the river Danube. On the one side there will be quiet swimming places, on the other side you can also go for a little “rafting tour” with your air mattress at your own risk. The venue is tree-lined and provides enough shadow. Es sollte ein historischer Moment in der Geschichte der Trance Festivals werden, als sich im August 1999 die Szene im ungarischen Ozora versammelte: Insgesamt reisten um die 20 000 Freaks aus aller Welt an, um anlässlich des seltenen Ereignisses einer vollständigen Sonnenfinsternis eine ganze Woche ausgelassen zu feiern. Das Festival, welches damals unter dem Namen „Solipse“ stattfand, war ein gebührender Anstoß für eine ganze Reihe bemerkenswerter Veranstaltungen auf jener malerischen, hügeligen Location. Seit 2005 trägt das jährliche Festival dort schlicht den Namen des nahe gelegenen Dörfchens: Ozora. Und wer schon einmal da war weiß, dass sein Kultstatus unter den europäischen Festivals absolut berechtigt ist: Es ist stets eine ganz besondere Mischung von Trance Freaks und Travellern, die dort zusammen trifft. So war denn auch im letzten Jahr die Stimmung schlichtweg legendär, obwohl die erste Hälfte der Party von sintflutartigen Regenfällen heimgesucht wurde. Eines steht fest: Die Ozora ist definitiv eine Reise wert! It was one of those moments in the history of Trance festivals when the scene gathered in Hungarian Ozora in August 1999: Around 20 000 Freaks from all over the globe arrived to celebrate the rare incidence of a total solar eclipse for a whole week of frisky party. The festival, which was held under the name “Solipse” back then, was a appropriate kick-off for a series of remarkable events on this picturesque and hilly venue. Since 2005 the annual festival simply adopted the name of a nearby village: Ozora. And anyone who has attended this party once knows why it has a definite cult status among European festivals: It is always a very special mixture of freaks and travellers who gather there. And that is why there is always a very special atmosphere. Last year the venue was flooded by torrential rain during the very first days - but nevertheless the atmophere became a legend, especially after the sun finally appearedc. Es war eine lange und beschwerliche Reise, bis ich an dem schönen Ort Atzlan angekommen war. Der Featureman sollte recht behalten, kaum hatte ich meine Base aufgebaut, begannen die dunklen Mächte tiefschwarze Wolken zu schicken. Es fiel soviel Wasser vom Himmel, dass die Organisatoren gezwungen waren die wunderschöne und farbenreiche Deko abzubauen. Es stürmte und regnete so stark, das kurz darauf die Musik ausfiel und man begann flink alles in Sicherheit zu bringen. In der Ferne hörte ich noch leise Musik, sie musste aus einem der Chillzelt kommen, aber genau wusste ich es nicht, denn das Rauschen des Regens übertönte fast alles. Ich dachte über die Worte des Featureman nach „Das Featureteam kann immer und überall“. Doch wie sollte das gehen unter diesen Umständen? Dann fiel mir ein Spruch ein, denn ich unlängst auf einem T-Shirt gesehen hatte: „Move your body and your mind will follow“. Was hatte ich schon zu verlieren, außer ein paar durchnässten Klamotten? So machte ich mich auf den Weg durch den Sturm und suchte nach dem Ort, von wo ich die Musik vernahm. Ich fand ein kleines Zelt das sicher nicht mehr als 50 Leute beherbergte. Die Musik war laut und schnell, dennoch sehr rhythmisch. Der DJ war gut und wusste was bei diesem Unwet-

ter zu tun war. Er hatte sie alle mit seinen Klängen berauscht. Eine Gruppe von Spaniern stellte sich mir vor. Es schien, als würden sie unter einer Art Bewegungszwang leiden, der aber anscheinend nicht unangenehm war. Sie nannten sich „Tänzer des Kristallordens“. Später bekam ich einen ihrer besonderen Kristalle, es war ein ganzes Stück und sah aus wie eine roher Diamant. Sie offenbarten mir noch, es wäre gescheiter ihn vorher zu „zerstoßen“. Ich tat also wie mir geheißen, zerstieß den Kristall und fertigte mehrere, sogenannte Bomben. Ich stand eine Weile so da und meine Stimmung wurde langsam immer besser. Alles, was sich außerhalb des Zeltes befand, schien nun Lichtjahre entfernt, und alle, die sich innerhalb des Zeltes befanden, waren zu eins verschmolzen. Ich tanzte die nächsten 18 stunden, wir lachten und umarmten uns und in allen Gesichtern war nur Freude und unendliches Glück zu sehen. Als der Tanzwille noch stark, aber die Kräfte nachließen, verließ ich das Zelt. Es war wie ein Wunder. Die Wolken waren fort, die Sonne schien, die dunklen Mächte waren besiegt und ich, ich hatte die Prüfung bestanden. Von nun an würde ich frei und ohne Sorge feiern können. Der Featureman hatte mich auf den rechten Weg geführt, ich war jetzt allem gewappnet und freute mich auf das Fest mit dem Featureteam. Das war meine Geschichte Solltet ihr einmal Zweifel haben, wie das mit dem Feiern weitergehen soll, vertraut dem Featureman, HAVE FUN AND BE MAD.

The test

I discovered a small tent that gave shelter to no more than 50 people. The music was loud and fast, however still very rhythmic. The DJ was good and knew what to do during this storm. He had intoxicated everyone with his sounds. A group of Spaniards introduced themselves to me. It appeared as if they were suffering from some kind of compulsory movement snydrome, which however did not appear unpleasant. The called themselves “Dancers of the Crystal Order”. Later I was to receive one of their special crystals, it was a large piece, and looked like a raw diamond. They let me know it would be smarter to split it up, so I did as I was told and split it up into several so called bombs. Illustration: Nori Abassi I stood there for a while and my mood improved by the minute. Everything which was outside the tent seemed lightyears away, and everyone inside the tent had melted into one.

It had been a long and arduous journey, until I arrived at the beautiful location of Atzlan. Featureman was about to be proven right: as soon as I set up my base, dark forces started sending very black clouds. Such large amounts of water fell from the sky, that we were forced to take down the wonderfully colourful deco. The storm and rain were so strong, that shortly afterwards the music stopped, and people started trying to secure everything against the rain. In the distance I could hear faint music, it had to be coming from one of the chill out tents, but I could not be sure as the noise from the rain covered almost everything. I thought about the words of the Featureman “The Featureteam is capable always and everywhere”. But how should this be possible under these circumstances? Then I remembered a quote I had recently seen on a T-shirt: “Move your body and your mind will follow”. What did I have to lose, except a few dry clothes? And so I made my way through the storm and started to search for the place where I thought the music was coming from.

I danced the next 18 hours, we laughed and hugged each other, and in all faces joy and endless happiness could be seen. When I still had a strong will to dance, but my strength had left me, I left the tent. It was a miracle. The clouds had moved on, the sun was shining, the dark powers had been conquered, and I had passed the test. From now on I would be able to celebrate freely and without worries. The Featureman had lead me on the right path, I was now ready for anything, and was looking forward to the party with the Featureteam. That was my story. If you should ever find yourself in doubt how things should continue with the partying, trust in the Featureman, HAVE FUN AND BE MAD.

In einem Vortrag auf dem Sonics-Treffen in Leipzig resümierte Hans Cousto von eve & rave, dass

Der Staat hätte kein Recht in die Privatsphäre des Individuums einzugreifen – das stünde nur dem Individuum zu, Konsum sei dessen eigene Wahl. Mit der Reform in 2006 waren die Strafen für Drogenbesitz deutlich gesenkt worden. Die Parallelen zum Vorlagebeschluß des Landgerichts Lübeck zum Cannabisverbot durch den Richter Neskovic von 1992 sind augenfällig. Psychedelic Origami Origami, die Kunst des Papierfaltens war und ist traditionell in Japan verbreitet. Aber auch in unseren Breitengraden und ganz besonders in Partyszenen erfährt diese alt hergebrachte Kunst eine Art Renaissance. Grund genug uns einmal mit diesem beliebten Zeitvertreib zu beschäftigen und diesen Monat eine Bastelstunde einzulegen. Dieses eingerahmte quadratische psychedelische Etwas gilt es hier kunstvoll zu falten. Mit der Bauanleitung dürfte eigentlich auch nichts schiefgehen. Das fertig gefaltete Origami dient in Partyszenen im allgemeinen als ein Behältnis für Unterwegs.

However these days it seems these delicate works of art are experiencing a renaissance in our latitudes, and especially in our party scene. A perfect reason for us to shed some light on this popular past time, and plan a handicrafts hour into our schedule.
