The modern Order of St John’s Annual Reports were produced in printed form from 1868. The Museum is currently able to provide access to Annual Reports on Issuu from 1868-1895. This issue contains the Report of the Chapter-General, Report of the Librarian, Report of the Almoner's Department, Report of the Receiver-General, Report of the Committee of the British Ophthalmic Hospital in Jerusalem, Report of the Ambulance Department of the Order, and a Report on the issue of ambulance material etc., for the sick and wounded in South Africa.
Interesting content includes messages about the death of Queen Victoria, a synopsis of surgical statistics for the Eye Hospital, and the creation of five SJAB Bearer Companies which would mobilise for service with the field army for home defence, including a portion of the SJAB.
