The lea, e of the J eru alem Tavern wa transferred two years since from Mr. wen Hood to a new tenant, Mrs. S. F. Philipps~ A further change of tenancy i about to take place. The shar s held by the late Mr. John "\Valker, and by hli s Evelyn Duncombe, have been tran ferred to the Order of the Hospital of St. John of J eru. alem in England, in accordance with the will of the former, and a a gift flom the latter. The Balance ~ heet and Revenue Account, duly audited by the Honorary Auditor, :fr. C. Fitch Kemp, of the firm of Messr . C. F. Kemp, . Ford To Co., of 73, Lombard treet, are annexed. The Director. recommend the payment of a dividend of 3 per cent. less Income-tax, thi amount being the total of intere t that can be paid on the Share apital up to the 30th June, 1 91. The Directors are unable to recommend the payment of a higher dividend, con eyuent on the expenditure which is imperative in order to place the exterior walls of the Gateway in a tate of thorough repair. Large tone and pieces of stone having flaked off, the erection of ubstantial hoarding to en ure the safety of the public became compul ory, and it is desirable that the restoration of the wall . hould be proceeded with in a manner suitable to the ancient character of the building, with a litLle delay as pos ible. n is proposed to a k Mr. J. Oldrid Scott to submit e timates for this purpose. The best thanks of the Shareholders and Directors are again due to the Honorary olicitors, Messrs. Freshfield, and William, of 5, Bank Buildings, and to the Honorary Auditor, Mr. C. Fitch Kemp, of 73, Lombard Street, for their continued very valuable professional a istance. Signed on behalf of tbe Board of Directors, EDMUND A. H. LECHMERE,
