The past year and a half has been challenging in more ways than one.

As the clouds part, we find ourselves looking forward to the holidays more than ever.

We are hopeful that this winter, families will be able to gather and celebrate together once again. Sugar-capped Pandoros, rich chocolates and glistening cherries in syrup will adorn tables once again.

ASSORTED STOLLEN

For many, it isn’t Christmas without Stollen! This festive German cake originated in Dresden, in the north-east of Germany. Stollen is a yeasted bread-like cake studded with sweet candied fruits and raisins, and often stuffed with a layer of rich marzipan.

Its crowning glory? A fine layer of powdered sugar resting on its golden crust.

A note on Vergani: Vergani has been crafting Panettone in Milan for over four generations. What began as the small shop of Angelo Vergani in 1944 is now a world-renowned Panettone maker. Vergani is the only large producer of Panettone producing 100% of its products in Milan itself.

They use only fresh ingredients, and sourced specialties: candied orange from Calabria, almonds from Bari, honey from Tuscany.
