Alliance is Murray State University’s student-led LGBTQIA+ organization. Alliance is here to provide a safe place for LGBTQIA+ students and allies to learn about one another and have fun. We help to create a safe and inviting campus environment for LGBTQ+ students by connecting them to faculty and staff, one another, and allies. Our meetings are a mix of educational and recreational activities—we learn about LGBTQIA+ history and experience, but mostly we try to have fun and make friends.

The women of Alpha Sigma Alpha was founded in 1901 with the goal of creating women of poise and purpose and to assist our members in fostering lifelong friendships. Alpha Sigma Alpha promotes high ideals and standards for its members throughout their lives by emphasizing balance among our four aims of intellectual, physical, social, and spiritual development. ALPHA UPSILON ALPHA & READING CLUB Alpha Upsilon Alpha is a professional honor society dedicated to promoting literacy in our community. We host literacy nights at the local library where we dress up as storybook characters and read to children, participate in the Dr. Seuss celebration in March, pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child, make literacy brochures for elementary-aged children, and newborn literacy brochures for the maternity ward of the local hospital. Every meeting offers opportunities for professional development in the education field. AUA has two different divisions of the club, but both divisions meet at the same time and do all the same events together. The only difference is the membership fees. The divisions and requirements for joining are as follows: Reading club: This division of the club is open to anyone who wants to promote literacy in the community and is enrolled at MSU. Membership dues are $10 for the whole school year. AUA: This club is a professional honor society dedicated to promoting literacy in the community. Requirements for joining are: Maintain a 3.3 or higher GPA and Must attend and be involved in at least one activity/event per semester. Membership dues are approximately $51 for the entire school year. Amnesty International's vision is of a world in which every person enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights instruments. In pursuit of this vision, Amnesty International’s mission is to undertake research and action focused on preventing and ending grave abuses of these rights. The Murray State group has hosted forums on Breonna's Law, ending gun violence in the U.S., and Write for Rights events.

The Murray State Block & Bridle is a chain group of the National Block & Bridle. Our main focus in animals in agriculture. FOOD RECOVERY NETWORK
Food Recovery Network is the largest student-led movement fighting food waste and working to end hunger in America. In 2011, four students at the University of Maryland, College Park noticed perfectly good dining hall food was ending up in the trash at the end of the night. They worked to recover meals destined for the landfill day by day, and when the school year was over, they had delivered 30,000 meals to Washington, D.C.-area hunger-fighting nonprofits. And soon, Food Recovery Network was born. Not overnight, but with the steady and unwavering passion its first student founders poured into it. Their work made a scalable model that was difficult for campus administrators to refuse, and easy for other college students around the world to say yes to. We hope you will join us in our fight to end hunger and food waste in America.

GAME LAB
The purpose of this organization is to provide a forum for fans of videogames to discuss games and participate in activities relating to the design of games. Every week different topics will be discussed, along with watching gameplay of some games that pertain to said topics. MEN'S CLUB SOCCER
We are the premier provider for high-level, completive men's soccer here at Murray State. Our three practices per week give players something to look forward to as they continue to improve their game. On the weekends, our team participates in an organized league along with other college teams, providing travel opportunities to places like eastern Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia (during non-pandemic times, of course). Tryouts are held at the beginning of every semester.

MODEL UNITED NATIONS
Model UN (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations where students play the role of delegates from various countries. In the simulation, student delegates attempt to find solutions to the world's most pressing problems. Participating in MUN allows students to debate global issues, strengthen communication skills, and learn about the UN and its member states. Club members attend MUN conferences and represent Murray State University both regionally and nationally.

MSU CINEMA CLASSICS CLUB Cinema Classics Club is a club where students at Murray meet to watch and discuss movies. Cinema Classics Club is a club where students at MSU meet to watch and discuss movies. We always watch 2 movies, typically one that’s a little older and one that’s a little more modern. They fit together thematically, and we host a little discussion after the movies where we talk about them. We watch a variety of movies from a variety of years, but the goal is to view classic movies that people our age might not normally view. Some movies we’ve screened in the past include To Kill A Mockingbird, Singin’ in the Rain, Chicago, and Carol. Whether you are already an avid film fan or you are just looking for a fun Friday night with friends, this might be the club for you!

The archery club meets 1-2 times per week to practice shooting bows. We have instructors that will help students learn the finer points of shooting. All are welcome from those who are great shots, to those who have never shot in their life! Some students go on to compete in competitions, but for many this is just a hobby. NATIONAL STUDENT SPEECH LANGUAGE HEARING ASSOCIATION National Student Speech Language Hearing Association is a student-run organization that focuses on communication sciences and disorders. This organization is available for all students who are interested in learning more about communication disorders and audiology. Our organization also provides CDI Majors a chance to meet one another, as well as faculty, and learn about being a Speech/Language Pathologist and Audiologist through various activities and community service opportunities.

OMICRON DELTA KAPPA Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), the National Leadership Honor Society, is one of the top honor societies in the country. It recognizes outstanding leadership in the following areas: Scholarship; Athletics; Campus or Community Service, Social and Religious Activities, and Campus Government; Journalism, Speech and Mass Media; and Creative and Performing Arts. Students must be in the top 35% of their class to be eligible -- we accept applications from sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students. PRE-PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT CLUB Our mission, as a Pre-PA Club, is to spread awareness of the physician assistant profession and to create resources involving graduate programs. SIGMA ALPHA Sigma Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority that promotes scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship among its members. The sorority was founded in 1978 at The Ohio State University by five women who wanted an alternative to the social Greek sorority system. Since that time, Sigma Alpha has become a national organization consisting of more than 80 chapters, comprised of undergraduate and alumnae members. Today, more than 11,000 members have been initiated into Sigma Alpha Sorority. The Alpha Upsilon chapter at Murray State University was founded on October 6, 2001. Since then, it has flourished into an extremely successful and productive part of campus! The Alpha Upsilon chapter is very active in Murray State University's Hutson School of Agriculture (HSOA), Murray State University Greek Life, as well as the surrounding community.

WILDLIFE & FISHERIES SOCIETY
The Wildlife Society is the professional organization for wildlife biologists and the Murray State University chapter is an extension of the national organization. The Wildlife Society works to enhance members' networking and learning opportunities, professional and career development, and provide numerous ways for them to get more involved in creating a better future for wildlife and their habitats. In the same way, the Murray State University Chapter provides students with professional development opportunities and networking to enhance their success in a wildlife career. It is important for wildlife students to be involved in a student chapter of The Wildlife Society because becoming a member of The Wildlife Society shows dedication to the field of wildlife biology and this dedication is valued by employers and graduate advisers. Membership also allows you to make connections with wildlife professionals and learn about ongoing research in the wildlife field. Professional relationships provide references and contacts that give students involved in the Society a leg up when applying for jobs and internships. These relationships are often developed at national, state, and regional meetings and conferences. The Murray State University chapter provides opportunities to attend these events. At conferences and meetings, students are able to learn about research in the wildlife field and stay up-to-date on recent events in the conservation and wildlife biology field.
