Registration for all new and returning GISD students is completed online through the parent portal.

Returning Students: Please update contact information (phone numbers, email address, mailing address) as you complete registration for the new year. It is imperative that we have correct contact information for each student. New Students: To register online, visit gainesvilleisd.org and click on the link to the parent portal or scan the QR code below. Once you create the ASCENDER ParentPortal account, you will need to add each new student to your account. To add a student, you must provide a valid student portal ID, which you can obtain from your student’s campus.

AUGUST 11 Meet the Teacher • Head Start (3:00-4:00pm) • Edison (4:30-5:30pm) • Chalmers (5:30-6:30pm) • Intermediate (6:30-7:30pm) AUGUST 15 9th grade Fish Camp (1:00-3:00pm) GJH Meet the Teacher • Parent meeting & schedule pick up (5:00-5:30pm) • Meet the teacher (5:30-7:00pm)

AUGUST 17 First Day of School! CAMPUS START/END TIMES • GHS (8:10am-4:00pm) • GJH (7:50am-3:45pm) • GIS (7:40am-3:32pm) • Chalmers (7:30am-3:25pm) • Edison (7:25am-3:20pm) • Head Start (7:15am-3:10pm) • DAEP (8:10am-4:00pm)
