othing in her nearly 10 years in practice could have predicted that Dr. Rebecca Butler and Lantana Pediatrics would need to help more children than usual during a pandemic.

Before COVID-19, Butler was a sole practitioner who set aside one day a week to treat youth for mental health aid for depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Today, she and two others see someone every day as children’s mental health has escalated.

“Kids are really struggling with all the changes with school. There’s a lot more anxiety and depression, really, in all ages,” she said. “I’ve never had to send so many kids to treatment because they’ve gotten so down and in a bad place. We actually brought back Children’s Medical Center that has a mental health and follow up.”

These big changes have proven not only to be a success with the franchisees and employees but also with members and clients. “It’s here to stay for good. Our team, franchisees and the customers absolutely love it.”
