ANNUAL 2022 REPORT

A NOTE FROM THE CHAMBER

In 2022, we were so excited to celebrate 95 years as an organization in our community! We had great attendance and participation at our events and programs. We hope to see that increase even more in 2023 as we strive to provide quality speakers, information, and programming These initiatives are designed to connect you to leaders, information, and resources for you to develop as a business and professional.

We had a lofty goal to create a Foundation in 2022 to focus on workforce initiatives. We not only created it but were able to host our first-ever 8th grade career exploration event with nearly 500 students participating. Thanks to our initial partners, we were able to secure nearly $50,000 to help us accomplish these endeavors and more We will be hosting additional initiatives in 2023 and look forward to partnering with more investors to make a larger impact in our future.

2023 is an opportunity for a new Leadership Murray Class and a new regional leadership program to help us unite as the true West Kentucky region I strongly believe shared experiences bond people in a unique way. Building relationships with others is key to your success. We make those opportunities available and hope you can take advantage in the new year

Our Chamber is successful and recognized both statewide and nationally for its leadership, programs, and efforts. None of that could happen without you and we are so grateful for your continued support! The Chamber’s overall effort to advance the community includes focusing on advocacy, development, promotion, member savings programs and building connections. Let’s continue to work together for a positive and greater community impact in 2023!

WELCOME TO THE TEAM

Kristi is a New Iberia, LA native and relocated to the Murray community six years ago. She attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for Business Management with past experience in a non-profit organization, inside sales, administrative assistant and a 911 supervisor. She is happily married with two sons and a daughter. After a couple of years of looking around at other communities, she and her husband decided to call Murray their permanent home, with its unmatched sense of community. She enjoys cross stitching, home remodeling projects, fishing and traveling.

Kristi will oversee member invoicing, event registrations, Chamber Checks, relocation packets, job postings, community event calendar, and all other general inquiries as well as assisting with membership outreach.
