Geo Drive
Mobile Mapping

Geo Drive is Murphy Geospatial’s bespoke mobile mapping service designed to improve the efficiency and precision of geospatial data collection in the built environment.
Suited for large-scale projects in construction, infrastructure, energy, and utilities sectors, Geo Drive offers the ability to collect substantial amounts of data over extensive geographic areas.
We understand that mobile mapping sometimes requires discretion, or to reach areas not accessible by car. Our specialised mobile mapping technology can be mounted to any vehicle and adapted to your specific project needs whilst ensuring the best quality data capture.
Geo Drive can capture up to 100 kilometres of geospatial survey data in a single day.
What are the benefits of Geo Drive?
Increased accuracy
Captures can be aligned with historic data
Streamlined processes
Improved decision-making
Optimised resource allocation
Works both day and night
What problems can Geo Drive solve?
Long project delays
Inefficiencies
Inaccuracies
Production bottlenecks
Health and safety risks
Traffic management costs
Mobile mapping equipment
Offers a quick and cost-effective survey solution for roads and railway assets using GIS technology. This will enable efficient management and maintenance of these assets.
Provide CAD lines accompanied by a dense point cloud view and panoramic view.
Access areas that are restricted or inaccessible to drones. By collecting under-tree data, the survey can be augmented to provide comprehensive point cloud information. This data can then be used for volume calculations and other relevant analysis.
Perform country or county level verification of road bridges on behalf of road authorities in the UK, Ireland, and Europe. This verification process will ensure compliance and safety standards for road infrastructure.
Conduct surveys along road and rail corridors to capture data on vegetation and trees. This information is crucial for identifying potential hazards such as overhanging branches that may impact traffic safety.
Conducts pre-surveys of road corridors to assess feasibility for future pipeline, cabling projects and wind turbine route planning.
Combine topographical (TOPO) and utility surveys simultaneously using mobile mapping technology in conjunction with RAPTOR (GPR system). This integrated approach provides a quick and discreet survey process.
Offers a defect detection survey to road authorities in the UK, Ireland, and Europe. This survey can be conducted using AI algorithms supporting automatic options, allowing for efficient identification and assessment of road conditions.
As our existing infrastructure ages, the maintenance and monitoring of assets using accurate geospatial data is crucial in minimising delays and disruption to the public and reducing the likelihood of project overspend. This data empowers asset owners to make informed decisions, ensuring the longevity and efficiency of their infrastructure assets.
Geo Drive can offer precondition surveys before construction projects begin. Precondition surveys capture photographic evidence of the roads’ current condition before construction begins to provide a baseline for comparison at the project’s conclusion. The survey can address potential complaints or charges related to road damage caused by construction traffic. The documentation of road conditions serves as a proactive measure to reduce risk and provide evidence for any issues that may arise during or after the construction phase.
For infrastructure which focus on the distribution of power and utilities, above and below ground, it’s fundamental to ensure that design, construction, maintenance, retrofitting and asset management can be carried out without any adverse effects on essential services. Geo Drive works in conjunction with GPR technology to allow you to assess underground assets over large areas.
Geo Drive can provide essential information for planning and designing energy networks, such as oil, gas, and renewables. This helps optimise routing, assess feasibility, and ensure accurate placement, reducing the risk of service disruptions and improving efficiency in operations.
