Colin Laffan

Non-Playing Captain. Cobh native who is Head Coach at his hometown club Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club. Still proudly represents his club at all senior team events, winning several leagues, cups and championships.

Emma McDonagh

Vice Captain. Member and Coach at Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club. Has represented Munster at Junior Interprovincial level. Among her achievements has won numerous Junior and Senior tournaments, Grade 1 Winter Leagues and Summer Cups as well as winning the Munster Junior Cup at Under 12, 14 & 16.

Jessica Carley

Started playing tennis at 11 years of age, plays with a Wilson Blade racket and the Omni surface is her favourite. A member of Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, her tennis achievements include reaching a highest ranking of 15 in Girls Under14 Singles and highest ranking of 2 in Girls Under 14 Doubles. Was in the Fitzwilliam main draw this year, winning the first round, having never previously played on clay.

Cate Gilroy

Started playing tennis at 9 years of age, plays with a Babolat Drive racket and the Clay surface is her favourite. A member of Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, her tennis achievements include being the winner of the 2022 Fitzwilliam Under 14s Doubles with partner Lilly Frawley and previously representing Munster as part of the Under 14 Interprovincial Championship team in 2021.

Lilly Frawley

Started playing tennis at 5 years of age, plays with a Head Radical racket and the Clay surface is her favourite. A member of Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, her tennis achievements include being the winner of the 2022 Fitzwilliam Under 14s Doubles with partner Cate Gilroy.

Romy Barry

Started playing tennis at 8 years of age, plays with a Wilson Blade racket and likes most surfaces, but enjoys clay the most. A member of Monkstown Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, her tennis achievements include playing for Munster at Interprovincial Championships in 2021, maintaining high rankings throughout her tennis career and enjoying great success at regional and national level.

Ava Chandler

A current member of Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, Ava started playing tennis at five years of age. Likes a hard court the most, and plays with a Wilson Ultra racket, Ava is very proud to be representing Munster at the 2022 Tennis Ireland Under 14s Interprovincial Championships with her Rushbrooke Clubmates!

Johnny Fitzgerald

Started playing tennis at just three years of age, plays with a Tecnifibre T-fight RS racket and the Hard Court surface is his favourite. A member of Sunday’s Well Boating & Tennis Club, his tennis achievements include winning the Tennis Europe event in Carrigaline this summer. Johnny also proudly represented Ireland at the Junior Four Nations Championships in Glasgow.

David Walsh

Started playing tennis at five years of age, plays with a Head Gravity racket and the clay surface is his favourite. A member of Tralee Tennis Club, his tennis achievements include reaching the Quarter Finals of the William-Fry Junior Lawn Tennis Championships of Ireland in Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club.

Jack Cantillon

A member of Carrigaline Tennis Club who started playing at 5 years of age. Plays with a Head Radical racket, and likes the Savannah surface. Reached four consecutive finals in 2022, including winning Sunday’s Well Boating & Tennis Club’s Mixed Doubles. Achieved a Top 10 ranking in Under 14s Singles.

Luke McDonnell

A current member of Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, Luke started playing tennis at four years of age. Likes a Savannah surface, and plays with a Babolat Pure Drive. Favourite achievements include playing for Munster in his first year Under 14s in 2021 and more recently winning the Tramore Tennis Club Junior Open this summer.

Tommy Fitzgerald

Started playing tennis at just three years of age, plays with a Tecnifibre T-fight RS racket and a Savvanah surface is his favourite. A member of Sunday’s Well Boating & Tennis Club, his favourite achievements include being selected to play for Munster in the Interprovincial Championships in 2021 and reaching No.2 in the national rankings at the beginning of the year.
