Landscape can be more than just nature and ecology The opportunity to leave an indelible mark in cities is a privilege that should be treasured. This is why I take landscape design exceptionally seriously and appreciate innovative inspiration grounded on thorough thinking rather than monotonous assembly line work. Five years of undergraduate study have sculpted my pursuit of adding practicalness and ecological features to the development of landscape design. I desire to renovate and rejuvenate a regional area by the application of landscape devices along with the utilisation of the nature of the ecology, particularly its healing ability, on an urbanplanning level.
Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Xihua University
Having completed designs regarding both architecture and landscape, I have explored in detail of how to integrate and advance the interface of them. It is impossible to cut off the relation between them, instead, I work to integrate buildings into the environment, which stretch and diversify the surroundings as a tree. Most notably, intense work in two real-world projects has enlightened me about which path to go. The experience not only strengthened my teamwork spirit, but reshaped my understanding of the future of landscape design. I have since developed an inclination towards the ecological effects of landscape and considering how the landscape changes the living environment, as well as emphasising the social and experiential nature of the landscape in the urban space.
