BOOLIN GREEN BULLETIN The green opening was held on Saturday 7th April when President Jim McNee’s wife Mo threw the first jack of the 2022 season. A good attendance of members and guests enjoyed a few ends of bowls a few quizzes and of course an excellent roast beef dinner.Once everyone had enough of the liquid refreshment in them the rest of the evening was spent with some Karaoke and dancing. The first tournament of the year the Sal and Doug Bone Trophy was held on Saturday 7th of May with the winners being Jim McNee and Philip Mackin.The Trophy was presented by Jean Mackin one of the sponsors. The next tournament is the Newkie Broon Trophy on Saturday 14th of May followed by the Kaimes Pit tournament on Saturday 21st of May. For those people who like music we have some excellent bands booked with the first being: MARK HAMILTON on Saturday 28th May 8.00 till late JOHN REID brings his show from the Palace Theatre with tributes to Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, ABBA and of course Elvis.This is on Saturday 4th June RICKY MENZIES and CAMPBELL LEITCH bring their new band RESET to the club on Saturday 9th of July at 8.00pm MARK HAMILTON. SATURDAY 23rd of July 8.00pm Anyone wishing to have a try at bowls please contact the club and arrangements can be made and equipment provided. Philip Mackin
