The Boolin Green Booliton Well Dear Reader, it’s the time of year when the boolin green has its annual presentation of all the glittering prizes i.e. “The Boolin Oscars”.

It was really nice to see everyone in their finery, and, I must say, the ladies looked very smart as well! With the assistance of our Match Secretary, the prizes were presented by the President’s wife Mrs Mo McNee. After all the formalities were concluded the boolers and their friend were entertained by young Rick, sorry Ricky Menzies.

Let me add this wee word of caution – if any of you are walking past a certain house in Carruthers Park please wear your your sunglasses because the glare coming from the silverware could seriously damage your eyesight!

And now for the wee rant:- in last months edition (October) your favourite correspondent four photos for your perusal. Since publication I’ve had numerous comments asking if all the boolers are that size? (see page 13, main photo and top right). But, dear reader you’ve got to agree that somebody has been playing aboot wi their wide angled lens.
