The United Arab Republic rejected the U.S. rationale lor the presence of U.S. soldiers involved in the Israeli Army. In a note to President Gamel Abdul Nasser, the U.S. government gave the following explanation for the misadventure by the soldiers of fortune: law allows IAS. citizens to enlist in the armies of another state. The communique from the U.S. to the Arabs was noted in the influential newspaper Al Ahram.
F i n d 2 400-year-old African A r t An African rock painting estimated at 2.400 years old has been found by a University of Chicago anthropologist in a cave near the mouth of the Klai Klasies river in southern Africa, the University announced recently. Professor Richard Singer, leader of the digging team, said that the painting is the oldest accurately dated African rock painting ever found. The painting depicts a man or woman swimming above four dolphins. Dolphins belong to the whale family of fish.

SAN FRANCISCO-Unless something is done to thwart the efforts of the "haves" to dictate when members of the general populace can have children, no new births will be permitted without prior governmental approval. MUHAMMAD SPEAKS has predicted this policy shift for years, but people dismissed the Messenger's warning as absurd. THE UNMISTAKEBLE trend toward intervention and control over births was signaled by Dr. Paul Ehrlich of Stanford university, who called attention to what he described was the "population crisis." Speaking at the 13th national convention of the United States commission for UNESCO, Dr. Ehrlich, a biologist, declared: "Our first move must be to convince all those we can that the planet Earth must be viewed as a spaceship of limited carrying capacity. " I think that 150 million people (50 million fewer than at present) would be an optimum number to live comfortably in the United States."
His statement was triggered by a keynote speech from Dr. Lee DuBridge, chief science advisor for President Nixon, who advocated the "reduction of the earth's population rate to zero." IN SO DOING, Dr. DuBridge went further into explaining the real meaning behind President Nixon's earlier message to Congress, which stressed the need to "see that the provision of birth control information is made available to underprivileged women." But Dr. Ehrlich really laid bare the plot when he urged the establishment of a Federal Population commission, "with a large budget for propaganda, "changing tax laws to discourage reproduction and instituting mandatory birth control instruction in public schools. As if that were not enough, he advocated "changing the pattern of federal support of biomedical research so that the majority of it goes into the broad areas of population regulation, environment sciences, behavior sciences and related areas—rather than into the short-sighted programs on death control." As what he claims would be
the "final measure," he proposed that the government resort to the "addition of a temporary sterilant to staple food, or to the water supply, with limited distribution of antidote chemicals, perhaps by lottery." As he spoke, the president was preparing to sign the 1925 treaty banning first-use of chemical-biological warfare. HE ADMITTED, however, that "doctoring of foods" sent to other countries would not be possible "because other people already are suspicious of our motives." An alternative would be to "stop economic aid to countries that do not try to
limit their population." Within the United States, however, he envisioned no trouble in invoking the full program. He argued that "the urge to multiply is rooted in the sense of insecurity." Apparently love of children, family and people did not occur to the doctor as a motive for "multiplying." A companion belief was expressed by Dr. Barry Commoner, ecologist at Washington University, St. Louis, who questioned "Do we need more people on the earth? We all know the answer to that is no. Do we, have to have more people? We all know the
answer to that is no. Do we, have to have more people? Also no. (He did not say who the 'we' is.) "Can we reverse the urges of a billion years of evolving life? We can. We know techniques for reducing fertility. We are not fully utilizing them." A recent series in this paper showed how the food problem is one of planning and distribution, not one of overpopulation or scarcity. sWhen the stock exchange dictates food planning, human need is ignored and people starve.

Silent majority myth on government film WASHINGTON—In a film costing $20,000 to be produced in reaction against recent antiwar demonstrations in Washington, the U.S. Information Agency has shipped abroad 200 prints of a 15 minute television film, The Silent Majority, showing scenes from antiwar demonstrations in Washington. THE FILM is filled with comments supporting Mr. Nixon's stand in Vietnam and the importance of the mythical "silent majority" of American citizenry. The film contends that the "Silent majority" supports Mr. Nixon's position in Vietnam. Some of the Black languages into which the film is being translated are Vietnamese, Arabic, Korean, Tagalog, Indonesia and the Mandarin dialect of Chinese. The film is being sent to countries in Africa, the Far East, the Middle East and Latin America. It is also being sent to some European countries. The agency (U.S.I.A.), which projects United States policies to overseas audiences, is now preparing a short film biography of Vice President Spiro Agnew and a 90-minute documentary on the United States presence in Vietnam. The Viet Nam film also cost the American taxpayers $20,000 and was directed by Hollywood film maker John Ford. It was begun during the Johnson administration. In an interview today Bruce Herschensohn, the U.S.I.A.'s director for motion pictures and television (who also edited the film), claimed he conceived the idea for the film while listening to President Nixon's November 3 speech on Viet Nam, in which Mr. Nixon referred to a "silent majority" of Americans and asked them to support him in his Viet Nam position. MR. HERSCHENSOHN said that though the project had not been cleared with the White House, it carried the approval of the U.S.I.A.'s deputy director, Henry Loomis who is acting in behalf of Frank Shakespeare, the agency's director. When asked whether the use of the title and the emphasis in the film on views favorable to the Administration's position might not be construed as partisan politics on the part of a government agency, Mr. Herschensohn answered "Our function is to advocate the view of the Administration," and that the film fitted into the United States policy directives." The film opens with a crowd-
scene on Pennsylvania Avenue during what Mr. Herschensohn said were last Saturday's antiwar demonstrations in Washington. Filmed against the background is Mr. Wiley Daniels, a Black U.S.I.A. commentator, who comments on a "silent majority" in contrast to a "vocal minority" to which Mr. Nixon referred in his Nov. 3 speech. THE BLACK COMMENTATOR praises Mr. Nixon for giving permission to demonstrators to carry out their protests "within sight of the White House," and contends that sideline observers were probably part of the "Silent majority" concept instead of a "vocal minority" in the demonstration.

Silent observers say that the film is merely another way of deceiving the Black peoples at home and abroad into supporting the Administration's slaughter of the countlessly many Black men, women and children in Viet Nam and elsewhere. Observers also say that the use of a Black man (Mr. Daniels) is merely another devil's trick to legitimize in the eyes of the world America's presence in Viet Nam. (Black man's land).

Hospital costs have spiralled 76 per cent, local transit fares have spurted more than 30 per cent, and the price of a new house is up 25 per cent. IN CONTRAST to these new highs, the price of prepared food is only up eight per cent, the price of drugs has risen only two per cent, the price of a new car is up only eight per cent, and the price of household appliances is up a tiny one per cent. What does this mean to the consumer? It means that prices are subject to worse inflation on products with a "high labor c o n t e n t , " particularly services. Automation, with its resulting productivity gains, is only highly profitable if wages are kept down. But workers are not suffering inflation quietly. They are striking to get money to care for their families.

Among the worries that Levine says are underestimated is the image of the lower-middle class white foreigner and his children. He is stereotyped as a "beerbellied Stanley Kowalski," according to the Jewish speaker. Pierre DeVise, a geographer and director of the Chicago Regional Hospital study, stated that the lowest median income for the groups was the income of the English, $5,050 per year. This figure is low because many English women are domestic workers. The highest median income of the groups was $7,230 for the Russians, most of whom are Jews. According to a joint publication of the U.S. Dept. of Commerce and the U.S. Dept. of Labor, the median income

David L Daniel, director of the Cook County department of Public Aid, has released results of a recently completed study, Castles of the Poor. This is an indepth study of the housing conditions of public assistance families residing in private housing in Cook County. "THE HOUSING consultants and caseworkers of the department are very aware of the multitude of building code violations that permeate the homes of many public assistance families," commented Daniel. Daniel said, "For many years the department has been engaged in a collaborative program with the Chicago Department of Buildings to have the property owners and managers correct these code violations. "Some of these landlords repair their properties following contact by the building department, but many do not." Sometimes buildings are abandoned and demolished

Fifteen per cent of all the families lived in units with seriously defective floors; Almost three-tenths of all families lived in units with defective windows; Seventeen per cent of all the families lived in units with defective doors, frames and door hardware; Sixteen per cent lived in units with darkened hallways and stairways. Other defects of family units were: no protective screens on doorways and windows during months that they were required; problems with garbage removal and with rubbish and debris inside and outside of their buildings; abandoned refrigerators, rats,

IN ADDITION to the above defects in the units all the buildings themselves were in a dilapidated condition. It is into such housing as this that Black families of five to six persons live in households averaging 34.6 years in age. Although, "for many years," according to Daniel, housing consultants and caseworkers have been aware of the code violations and have worked in a collaborative program with the Chicago Department of Buildings to have the property owners and managers correct these code violations, this genocidal condition continues to exist. Any Muslim or informed person knows that alongside other means of enforcing building code violations, the teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, correctly applied, would greatly alleviate the condition. It is naive to expect weak, tokenistic social agencies to correct this deterioration. Until such agencies exist, Blacks must learn to organize and "Do For Self."

parliament, the Bill makes no differentiation between Europeans, Asians and Africans. It merely defines European areas as those in which the interests of Europeans are paramount, and the same definition is applied to Black areas. It also allows for the enactment of laws on the ownership occupation of land in white areas "which makes provision for different classes of Europeans." This provision will p r e s u m a b l y a l l o w the Government to legislate to keep Asians and Africans out of white suburbs—a subject of much heated debate in the ruling Rhodesian Front for years. The bill will give the Rhodesia's 4,800,000 Blacks (Africans, Asians, and Afro—Euros) 44,944,500 acres of land. It will give the 230,000 whites a total of 44,952,900 acres of land. The bill makes it an offense for whites or Blacks to sell or lease land in their areas to a member of the other race.

ANGERED AT a recent reorganization of the agency that has sharply reduced the influence of Black staff members, the so called "Minority Business" unit, has been bickering behind the scenes for quite some time. The hypocrisy of the faltering Black capitalism program was conspicuously revealed last July when Philip Pruitt, Negro head of the Small Business Administration's minority entrepreneurship program, resigned after fewer than four months in office. At the time Pruitt blamed his decision on Minority Business's slowness to carry out its assigned role of planning the broad scope of Administration minority enterprise policies." He also charged the White House with lack of commitment to finance proposed expansions of minority enterprise aid. Since the resignation of Pruitt his replacement, Thomas F . Roeser, has been replaced, and all of this in the last four months. PRESENT HEAD Abraham S. Venable is a 39-year-old Black man who has been with the Commerce Department since 1963. Recent Minority Business press releases have claimed a growing list of accomplishments. These include "negotiations" with auto and oil franchising companies "to bring about vast increase in minorityowned dealerships throughout the country" and a pilot program worked out in conjunction with the SB A to speed approval of bank request for 90 percent Federal guarantees of loans to minority businessmen. Henry Winston, national chairman of the Communist Party in the United States, will speak on his visit to Cuba on December 6 at the Humboldt Park Civic Center. "salability" was also very much on Williams' mind, as his magazine is set to come out at the zenith of public fancy for Black history. He says his publishers have print orders for 60,000 copies. Williams has romped off five books in the last ten years. One of the last ones, The Man Who Cried I Am. This was the first book, during the racial holocausts and impendent threat of massive repression in the mid 1960's, to place in a fictional context the i m m i n e n t possibility of concentration camps for Blacks — linking the U.S. government and its partner European nations in the demonic plot. It was this section of his book which garnered Williams such favor among many of thosewho were discussing this nightmarish possibility. This chapter supplied a lot of people with lecture money, some teaching posts and even research centers. It is generally referred to as, "The King Alfred Plan," and was a new idea to certain cloistered bookish types, uninformed about N a z i G e r m a n y , American slavery, the CIA, a certain section in the McCarran Act and the massive wrecking forces within the soul of exploiting, bestial white America. Of this repressive potential, William now says: "The Blacks are aware of the potentially repressive nature of the Nixon's administration. Therefore their stress is on cooling it. We are going through a period of consolidation. For the first time there is a genuine coming together of the Black masses and the Black middle class." During the past year Williams says he has had 30 offers of teaching posts from various universities in America. He often compares this with the fact that after getting his M.A. in English in 1950, he had to work in a foundry. He became a supermarket clerk, a radio announcer, a part-time advertising copy writer, and finally, in 1958, a full-time writer — "because I could not get a suitable job."

THE LIBYAN reform government which replaced King Idris in September as Libyan ruler is increasing support for Dr. Abba Sidik, leader of the Muslim guerrillas who are fighting 13,000 French troops in Chad. The Muslims are fighting to reform the French-backed government of Chad. In addition to French troops, the Chad government is using high-paid Christian puppet Chadian troops to help the French troops in reaction to the Muslim guerillas. IN SOMALIA, a reform government similar to the reform government in Libya is reportedly passing word to Somalian residents in Ethiopia and Kenya that fighting to unite some Kenyan land and some Ethiopia land back to Somalian lands under the Somalian flags will continue. The previous civilian government had agreed to work for a "greater Somalia through diplomacy. However, the present tribal crisis in Kenya, with its threat of civil conflict, makes it possible for outside warfare to enter Kenya. SOME OBSERVERS S E E possibilities of Muslims securing more power in governments in Ethiopia and Kenya, whose aging rulers may become the focuses for successionist and secessionist power struggles. Haile Selassie of Ethiopia is 77. President Jomo Kenyatta of Kenya is 78. Political observers see possible Black unity in movements toward Muslimled reform and Black Africangovernment-reform attempts in such countries as Ethiopia, Kenya, Chad, Congo, Uganda. The presence of and use of French troops in Chad against the reform movements there cause many Black observers to wonder what steps will the European and colonial powers
use next to block Muslim—African unity moves. France is also the most open supporter of the pseudo — r e v o l u t i o n a r y "Bifaran" secessionists who are attempting to cripple Nigeria. Observers from the western (white) press and economic circles seek to promote religious misunderstandings between Muslims from the Black north and non-Muslims from the Black south of Chad. Over half of Africa is Muslim and African customs and mores are more receptive to Islam than to Christianity when Islam is not interferred with by European, racist, colonial powers. Many of the non Muslim Africans practice their own traditional religions. IN ETHIOPIA, Muslim citizens are seeking more participation in Ethiopia's governmental affairs based on the fact of their constituting 40 per cent of Ethiopia's population, which equals the numbers of the ruling land controlling Coptic Christian elements. Also in Ethiopia, the Eritrean Liberation Front seeks to transfer rule of Eritrea from Ethiopian hands to Muslim hands. (According to The Encyclopedia Britannica the Ethiopians appear to have derived their religion and c i v i l i z a t i o n from the Egyptians—who then practice Islam, as the Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches us—before the intervention of Europeans in Egypt during the 13th century B.C.) The Somalia reform government is reportedly b a c k i n g the Eritrean Liberation movement and the Muslim Galla group in Ethiopia. The movement (Eritrean Liberation Front) also is backed by progressive Syria. Kenyan Muslim groups, including the Turkana, are

seeking more participation in the Kenyan government. The reform government is reportedly backing them also.
In Tanzania, Muslims numbering more than half the population but having less than half the power of government, seek more participation or reform in government. The Tanzania catholic-controlled government—mistakenly identified as free and r e v o l u t i o n a r y —backed "Biafra" because of animosity towards Islam. Also in Tanzania, the Muslim population of former Zanibar may be interested in more militant Islamic movements around the area. When I arrived for the discussion, I was introduced to a young Black Sister wearing an African bush as it is called. She too had been invited to speak and was a student at a predominantly Black college in Georgia. When you t e l l the m a t h e m a t i c i a n or any mathematically sound being that Jesus took off for a heaven on a cloud heading for this same heaven and this heaven he is heading for is beyond the Sun, Moon and Stars, the mathematician does some quick calculations. He reasons that at a maximum clouds don't travel more than 500 mi/hr, that many of the planets are millions of light years away (a light year is the distance light travels in a year and light travels approximately 186,000 mi per sec.), and if Jesus has to travel beyond this distance to get to heaven there is really no reason to call upon him, because he has not yet reached heaven! The physician and men of related fields are keenly aware of the need to revive any person whose heart has stopped beating within four minutes if they are going to prevent irreparable damage to the sensitive brain tissues which have a consistent demand for oxygen. When you tell us that Jesus laid around for 3 days and then rose and was seen walking around as good as new we say "uh-huh", and just pass it by. To be continued

The Anti-Christ people make you laugh sometimes to read or hear what they have to say concerning Anti-Christ's people; while the very one who trys to accuse the Muslims of being AntiChrist is the real Anti-Christ. The whole of the Christian race is Anti-Christ. There is no one of the Christian people who has been trying to become a friend of Christ. The Bible predicts that they would be against him. The very people that actually preach and claim they are so happy to tell you and me of the Coming of Christ and the Judgment of the world are the real enemies or Anti-Christ people—the Christian people—that is, if they believe in the Bible that they gave us. Let us read verse 18 of the eleventh chapter of the Bevelation. It prophecies that Satan, (the devil), would become angry at the time of the Coming of Allah (God) Almighty. Since He Would Take Over the Bule of the Nations of the earth from the hands and power of Satan, the devil. Satan is angry because he lost the power to rule the people. And the only people that we know of in power, is the white race. And the only people that hate Righteousness, and hate Black people for being of the Righteous, are white people. And the only people that hate Good to come to Black people, they are ever trying to prevent them from any good that would come to them from any direction, even from among themselves, is white people. It is a proof in the open acts and talks going on against us in Alabama to buy farm land from them and to farm on it. They even regret that you are able to buy it, and hate you for being yourself (A Muslim). Listen to the 18th verse of the eleventh chapter of the Revelation of John. "And the Nation's were angry.. ."Why should the Nation's be angry since they have been preaching the Coming of Christ? Why should they be angry now of His Presence? They should be the happiest people on earth since they say that their Religion is that which follows Jesus Christ. Now Christ Comes to Set Up His Government (a Government of Righteousness) like they have been preaching. And they are angry, because of Him, because of His setting up Freedom, Justice, and Equality, and Righteousness, that they only falsely claim that they were doing. Now they are made manifest that they have never been for Righteousness, nor for The God of Righteousness. They do not want Muslims in Alabama, Why? Because the Muslims are trying to live a better life. They do not like them because they do not want Black people to see the Hereafter. For it takes Righteousness to be one accepted. As the Bible teaches us in another place, "None but the pure in heart shall see God," and their hearts are not pure, but ours are pure by Nature. Our impurity only comes from our slavemasters and their children.
"And, the Nation's were angry." We have Nations under many Religious beliefs. So it covered all of them, and the rulers are white people. And because of their hatred and dislike of Justice, it angered the God of Justice. "THY WRATH IS COME": And the time of the dead. (We are the Dead). They were angry because of the Resurrection of the Black so-called Negro that they had made subject to the power of slavery, and under their own property subjected them to be the property of the white people. And they do not want their property released even though God is Asking for it. As it makes it very clear in another place in the Bible, "He Will Say to the SOUTH, keep not back." Do not try to interfere with His choice of freeing his people. The act going on in Alabama is a manifestation of this 18th verse of the eleventh chapter of the Revelation. "They are angry." And they are trying to keep us back. Who in the world ever heard tell of a man being fined because of his Religion? But remember again, the Bible teaches you, Is. 59:15 that "He that turns to Righteousness, he becomes a prey." He manifests himself as prey to the enemy because the enemy is going after him, because he hates him for going over to Righteousness. He will loose this slave, not taking him to hell like the rich man's lost Lazarus. He was independent and was boisterous and proud, and mistreated poor Lazarus. But, when his mistreatment came from Allah (God) then he cried to Lazarus for help. Because of the rich man's proudness, and hatred of his servant and putting dogs on them; and you have done the same thing. God Took the wealth of the rich man and dried his food up on his table, where he had none for himself. Then he gave Lazarus a better place and better food than he was getting from his slavemaster's table, which was only the worst of ' the food. That is what our Grandparents and we have been getting, he gives you the worst of food, especially in the South. They love for you to come in and ask for fatback and the poison hog. They do not like for you to ask for lamb or chicken. I remember in my younger days that it was an insult to them for you to go and ask for T-bone steak or Sirloin steak. You must always ask for the worst of the food. He will sell that to you happily. He will ask you to help him kill the poison pig, and give you the worst of that for your pay. The feet, chitterlings, guts, and you have to empty them of the refuge to try to eat it. This is what they give you for pay; or either a boney head that he would not want to try to pick the meat off of. This is the pay of the poor Black woman. I know these things to be true because, my mother used to work for them and would come home with that kind of pay. He is angry to see the Black man live under another king; to be a servant of a king, who deals with his servant in the way of Freedom, Justice, and Equality. So, they are angry, says the 18th verse of the Book of Revelation, because it is the time of the Dead. It is the time that the Dead should take their place in the Sun, like the other
Nations. Preachers, I think you should read this chapter and verse (17 and 18th verse of the eleventh chapter of Revelation). Be convinced that the white race is against the Resurrection of the Dead. The white race is against the Black man achieving anything of Good for himself, and regardless to what it is. This you know, but you are so afraid of the white man that you will only agree with me in secret on this; but work against me for favoritism from the white man. I cannot see what he will favor you with, but a flame of fire from the ever-burning fires of hell. That is already flamed. The time of the dead; what do we get out of this time of the Dead? Time for the Dead to rise and become an independent Nation. This is what it means. It is your time, and not a time that you continue to follow your slavemaster into free slavery. It is a time that you were free to go for yourself. What is it on this earth that white people can deprive us from, even though they try, since the earth belt belongs to us; it belongs to the Black man. Well, then, why are not we Ruling it? It is just a matter of time when the God Shall Give it to us. James Bishop of Alabama claims himself to be a Missionary, and claims he preaches the word of God. But, yet, it is proven definitely by his acts and anger against the Muslims, coming in and buying land to farm in Alabama. That is not the preaching of himself and his kind of Freedom, Justice, and Equality. He is the preacher of himself and his kind—enemies against the Black man. But, he should remember again that the Bible said everyone will be seen, bowing on his knees from the power of Christ. The name which means the crusher of the wicked. You say it means anointed, certainly, it means anointed. He is anointed to crush the wicked on this, the better learned white theologists will agree. And I am quite sure many of them, who are claiming not to know these things know them. I do not think there are many of the foolish white people, who do not have the knowledge that their kingdom was not to be forever. When its end was set in the day that they were made, and was limited to the number SIX. They all know this. The wisest of them will agree, that their time was up in 1914. But, a stay of execution of the Rule was due to the mentally Dead Negro here in America. That, you will most certainly find in the Book. The execution was stayed until he has put His mark (His Name), meaning the mark of Righteousness that is seen in the expression of the Muslim. Part HI (End of this Series) WE CONTINUE on the subject of What Allah (God) Will Do, as I have pointed out to you in the prophesy that H E WILL MAKE ALL THINGS NEW. I have pointed out to you, that this includes our being given a new mind, which produces new ideas. The new mind and the new ideas are to condition us for the new materialistic things that He WILL MAKE. The new people that is to be made is from us (Black Man of America). We will be made a new people, for we have been destroyed mentally and physically by the teachers and guides of this world of the white race, therefore in order to renew us, (the once servitude slave and the now free slave of our enemy), we must have a new spirit that will produce ideas in us to become a new people. Both the Bible and the Holy Quran prophecies that a new generation (people) will be raised up as I have pointed out in the other articles on the making of a new heaven and a new earth. He can cause a renewal or reproduction of the heavens and the earthâ&#x20AC;&#x201D;to make it clear, cause them to grow into a new growth. He has the power to do these things. He has not only the Power to bring into existence all the things which we now see present, but He also has the Power to Change that which exists into something else, or to destroy the present existence outright and cause it to waste away outright and bring in a new creation in its place. YOU are quick to believe in that which makes no sense at all, but that which makes sense you are not quick to believe in it. YOU HAVE been born and reared into spooky beliefs and you believe that all of the prophecies relating to heaven and the lives of those people is something spooky, without form and with no desire to eat or even to drink. You make them formless. The fact about it the way we were taught and brought up instilled these spooky beliefs in our minds. The preachers who preached the Bible did not give to us the understanding of that which was written, but rather they preached as they read it. The reading is to be understood. Could we believe the Bible on face-value when it says that Samson killed a lion and then came back and found bees making honey in the carcass and that he ate from it? Could we believe that he would be so foolish as to eat honey out of a dead carcass? NO. In the first place it did not mean that he had killed a natural lion, furthermore the bee is not so indecent about their food for their young that they would seek a carcass to build a home in, nor eat in such a place. NO. Nor would we be so foolish as to take it for granted that the harlot, Delilah shaved off the seven (7) locks of his hair or that is where his strength lay. These writings are to be understood. If we have not the undersstanding of the words of prophesy which was given to the prophets from Allah (God) then we do not understand the Words of the God. HOW can such a spiritually blind person be able to lead another spiritually blind person? When he does not understand what he is reading himself? The Jesus was right when he prophecied that the Blind cannot lead the blind. Mt. 15:14. This is the classification which he gave to the blind preachers and their blind followers. BLACK PREACHERS who make themselves preachers, although they lack the knowledge of the theology of the Bible, should not be licensed to
preach, not to think of ordaining them. But you do so, and the white man who is actually the one who licenses you to preach backs you up as a Black preacher, knowing that you do not have the knowledge of the scriptures. He did not intend that you have the knowledge of the scriptures. HE MAKES ALL THINGS NEW. Who Is He? He is the Son of Man. The Son of Man is made part of both peoples, the Black and the white, so that he may be able to Deal with both peoples justly and righteously. Nowhere in the Bible is it prophecied that something other than Man is going to do something for man that will better his condition, or even to destroy his existence,...other than another man. Therefore nothing that we see in the animal or fowl world or in water-life on this planet has the power to lead or to guide us. There is none in the other worlds of life who has any interest in us at all. They are not given brains that will think in terms of man or interest in man and his affairs. HE MAKES ALL THINGS NEW. Allah (God) Who Came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad must Make All Things New in order to bring in a new government based upon Freedom, Justice, Equality and Righteousness to displace the world off evil and unrighteousness. THE WORLD of evil and unrighteousness has no base for Allah (God) to Build a world of righteousness upon, or to make new heavens or a new earth, for the righteous. He must build a new world absolutely from the very bases of righteousness and Justice. Nowhere in this world of the white race is there Freedom, Justice, Equality and Righteousness. The father of the white race, Yakub, did not put the basis in his race to make a world of Freedom, Justice, Equality and Righteousness, for the Black Man already had a world of Freedom, Justice and Equality before Yakub made his unrighteous world, to oppose our world or rightousness. THE ARAB thinks it is something grave to talk about a new Islam. Why certainly, Brother, what you have been going through for the past six thousand (6,000) years under the rule of the devil. Now to reject THE RIGHTEOUS ONE Who not only brings about a new mind and a new idea and a new life and a new change as the Holy Quran teaches you and me today, is fatal. It is not that the base of Islam is wrong. I say this time and time again, that the belief in One God, that the Bible and the Holy Quran prophesy that you must have is true. The Belief in one Messenger or shepherd as He is sometimes referred to in the Bible stands true. You will no more have many Gods to believe in, but where both Christian and orthodox Muslim is wrong in that belief, the Christians believe in the return of Jesus to take part in the Resurrection which is contrary to the truth. The orthodox Arab teachers believe that what Muhammad gave is sufficient forever. Certainly it is the truth forever but it does not mean that we should be looking for Muhammad's Holy Quran to just take wings and become a man and come among us who the Holy Quran prophesies and teaches us are mentally dead. The Holy Quran would not prophesy that a new nation, a new generation would be born if that which was received, the Holy Quran, was sufficient to convert the world. Today the world is more

The Honorable Elijah Muhammad Messenger of Allah opposed to Islam than ever, in a manner of speaking, for the Islamic world is having confusion over the very principles of what they have been teaching. They have gone so far off the path themselves that they cannot correct or establish a return start for the future of Islam. They must admit that the Holy Quran prophecies of the "Coming of Allah (God)" and "The Days of Allah (God)" and what He Can Do. The Holy Quran also prophecies that the Messenger and Allah (God) Would Be as One Person, together and that the Messenger would teach and train his own ministers in that day. THIS MUHAMMAD, in this prophecy could not be Muhammad of 1400 years ago. The Muhammad in this prophecy is a man in the Resurrection, for Muhammad of 1400 years ago knew nothing about us in his day and time. We were too far in the future. The prophesy did not prophesy that he would come back to teach us. He cannot teach us. He could only give us a book to read, an Arabic Holy Quran. The Holy Quran teaches us that Allah (God) would raise up a Messenger from among the dead, (the so-called Negro), and he must be one given the ministryship to teach them the Way to Allah (God). HE MAKES ALL THINGS NEW. I say to the world of Islam, BOW TO HIM. The Holy Quran teaches us that, "You shall see all nations bowing down to him," Who MAKES ALL THINGS NEW, Master Fard Muhammad, to Whom Praises are due forever. STUDY over the Name Fard; it is sufficient to warn you that this is not the Name that Muhammad prophecies of. In fact Muhammad never saw the God. Muhammad only Heard His Voice. The Muhammad of the prophesy of the Holy Quran teaches and prophecies of a Muhammad who would gei his Word from the Mouth of Allah (God) and not through visions of talking to Him, and never seeing the Speaker. So I say to the Arab world of Islam, prepare yourself for all that you hear coming from the mouth of Messenger Elijah Muhammad, here in America. You can accept it or reject it. It would be good if you accept it, otherwise you can reject it and meet the fate of those who were before you who rejected a messenger because of their pride, for they wanted to be that which they were not to be. Why? It is because we are born eating all jod that we can get in our stomachs within one day. Th« is no regularity in this way of eating. We eat whenever we some food. We are like the pigs. The pig eats all of the tin: so long as he sees food. And, we are like chickens and otlu fowl and animals that eat all of the time. Elating like this kee our stomachs churning to try to digest the food that we put it, and to pass the food through to our intestines. This will on wear the digestive juices of our stomachs out and we only e as long as the stomach is capable of digesting what we p t in it. WE S U F F E R with all kinds of ailments of the body, due to our o n ignorant way of eating. How many times have you heart . ople sa;, when offered food, "do not wait until you are hungry, eat before you get hungry?" This is a dangerous thing o follow, < ting before you get hungry. I have heard many people, an you have heard them say that they are eating ast beethey have not eaten in such a length of time or, " I misse my breakfast," or " I missed my lunch." They are eating i not because they are hungry, but they are eating because o! t e time they had set for themselves to eat. T H R E E Mb ' A DAY, within the short space of eight or ten hours cot i you at a very early age. All foods have a certain percenta;. of poison in it and if allowed to be increased in a ve ; short while, then that keeps the body housing and stcri g up poison that it does not need to be housing; because e are making an addition to that already poison that is there. It makes sense. Sometimes this extra, unwanted food by the body, causes pain here and there; and we say that it is something else that it is coming from. It is that big meal that you are eating two and three times within eight or ten hours, or within twelve hours at the longest. So, we kill ourselves, as Allah (God) Tells me; not that there is a set time that we should die like our old parents were taught, thai when the time comes for you to die, you will die regardless. Allah (God) Told me there is no set time for us to die. We kill ourselves and that has been proven true. WHEN WE get a pain, we run to the doctor for some drugs to r\op it, or anything to stop the pain. H we had not found so! thing to stop the pain, then maybe death would have come to us. But, seeing and knowing that death comes in the absei.ee of a preventive against death, we should try and use the best preventive, and that is keep poison out of our bodies by abstaining from keeping our bodies stored with a lot of fresh food for it to digest. I was 20 years old when I went to the Sudan to study at the University of Khartoum, and I was not a Muslim. expected to find the same campus life that I left in America; very free and opened p a r t i e s with alcoholic beverages, loud or extra soft music, a student union building where both male and female students could congregate, swim, listen to music, study (part time—but sport and play most of the time), but I found the contrary to be true. During the first week, I saw that the female students hardly looked at, and did not speak with any of the male students and that there seemed to be no "campus life" as I knew it in America. I could not believe that this relationship between male and female students existed so T looked more closely. There, young women • who lived with me at the girl's hostel were all very friendly and warm towards me. At first (inside the hostel) they thought that I was one of them and spoke to me in Arabic expecting me to respond to them in the same. I was first mute, but then I answered with a smile and a few words to explain my inability to speak Arabic. Indeed I could have made the same mistake for if I had seen any of them in an American college dormitory, I would have thought them to be
like myselfr Black born in A m e r i c a only E n g l i s h speaking. I wanted to act as they acted, and this way I knew that I would make few if any mistakes. Often when we walked in groups to our faculties (colleges) on campus, a group of male students would pass us by. I would look in their faces and smile and often speak to them first. THE MALE students would look slightly embarrassed, sometimes they returned a greeting to me. Other times they nodded their heads, looked at one another and quickened their steps to pass by. Whenever this happened, my female colleagues would lower their faces and stop their conversation until they passed the male students. One of my female colleagues told me, "you should'nt speak to the boys when we walk pass them." I thought she was silly for saying this to me, and I told her that I saw no harm in this. She told me, that men did not respect a girl if she looked into the faces of men, and was easy to speak with. I wanted to prove her wrong at that time. But, I was one and they were many. I had to stop looking in the boys faces in order to have some of the girls walk with me.

In less than three years the Palestinian Arab has put together a fighting force of men under thirty that has transformed their liberation movement from one big joke to a well trained group that is known to strike fear in the hearts of the Israelis. MOST OF these Palestinian guerrillas were born in refugee camps. They are now trying to regain the lands that they lost twenty-one years ago. Although the Israelis admit the commandos are a problem, they also say they are no real threat. But the psychological impact of the Palestinian Revolution — as the guerrillas like to call their movement — has made a very strong impression on the Arab world. The recent clash between the commandos and the Lebanese army toppled the proChristian, pro-U.S. Beirut government and brought Lebanon to the brink of civil war because of the strong support the Palestinians enjoy. The commandos are backed by Syria, Iraq, Libya, the U.A.R. and Algeria. They are c o - r u l e r s in J o r d a n , maintaining their own border check points, military police and courts. Even President Nasser of the United Arab Republic, the most powerful figure in the Arab world, does not dare criticize their activities openly. After the U.A.R had lost the Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza Strip, Syria lost Golan Heights and Jordan had lost the West Bank of the Jordan river in the crushing defeat of June 1967, there was an atmosphere of extreme depression and humiliation hanging over the heads of the Arab world.

THE PALESTINIAN g u e r i l l a s found this atmosphere a great opportunity to advance a new idea in liberating their land, after the Arab countries had exhibited their weakness to the world. These men began to take on new concepts and the revolutionary group took over the movement. They called themselves "Munadhileen" (those who struggle) and "Fidayeen" (those who sacrifice). Some of the original groups were the Al-Fatah headed by Yasir Arafat and The Pc;- lar Front For The Libera tic. of Palestine headed by Dr. George Habash. Soon, other groups were formed and began to coordinate their efforts collectively so that they could have a much stronger force. The main guerilla organizations are: Al-Fatah, the Democratic Popular Front for the L i b e r a t i o n of PALESTINE, Al-Saiga and the Palestine Liberation Army which claimed credit for most of the attacks on Israeli airliners and offices outside Israel. T H E S E GROUPS have learned to operate against Israel and have decreased the welter of intrigue and rivalry that plague Arab politics. They get substantial funds from the progressive Arab states — Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Syria and Iraq. Even the conservative countries such as Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait pay up. Only time will tell if they will be successful in liberating their country, all it takes is a little perseverance and a lofbf unity to reach their goal.

c o n c e n t r a t i o n by Lonnie Kashif (MUHAMMAD SPEA~KT> WASHINGTON BUREAU) — "Mental health confinement can represent one of the most 'sophisticated' ways to remove people who are different, annoying or threatening to us physically or psychologically," Arthur Cohen, Civil Liberties lawyer, told a Subcommittee headed by Sen. Sam J . Ervin Jr., here recently. THE SIGNIFICANCE of Mr. Cohen's words stretch across the country and into ghettoes where thousands of Black men and women are strangly disappearing from the streets, some never returning to their community, and others returning mentally deranged or incoherent. There are indications also that mental health counselors now burgeoning in the Black community under the pretext that Black people need p s y c h i a t r i c help, a r e persuading ghetto residents to seek hospitalization. This action, harmless as it might appear, might well end up a nightmare for the volunteer. Pat Wald, a Neighborhood Legal Services attorney told the Ervin Subcommittee, that the voluntary patient is the "most likely candidate for success....when therapy is directed toward instilling a feeling of inner responsibility for his own recovery." but that "this delicate framework collaspes" when he learns that

although he enters voluntarily, he cannot leave voluntarily." In addition, witnesses before the Subcommittee pointed to the police-state practice e n t a i l e d in the new Administration proposals, which would all the hospital to lock up anyone brought in as an "emergency" case for seven days without examination. All that would be required would be a petition from a doctor, health department officer, or policeman. IT WAS DISCLOSED that of the 1,300 petitioned cases in the predominately Black District of Columbia, a tremendous number brought to St. Elizabeth (having an in-patient 90 percent Black rate) were kept more than a month before the commission saw them. In cases where the petitions were not filled in the required 48 hour period, a seven day extension was usually granted. This kind of confinement has often caused mentally sound people to suffer extreme mental breakdowns. MUHAMMAD S P E A K S went to St. Elizabeth Hospital and found evidence which overwhelmingly verifies all thinkable horrors imagined against the Blacks being confined behind the walls. . The trend at the institution is toward "experimentation". In at least two wards of the Hospital's Nicholas Building, Men and women, some suffering from organic brain damage and others filled with all forms of experimental drugs, mingle freely, contact even being intimate in some cases. According to one patient,

THE PATIENT, whose case is expected to be resolved in his favor early in December, has become something of a political prisoner after 'having recovered from the effects of hallucinatory drugs which brought him to the institution. He described the condition of Black people at the institution humorously as "like kittens, who have been kidnapped, having grown schizophrenic from living in a 'dog's world. Once in the hospital, they are only treated by dogs and some other cats who have developed split personalities from mixed education in dog schools."

By Joe Walker NEW YORK - A Black marine has endured over 18 months of hard labor at the U.S. Naval Disciplinary Command in Portsmouth, New Hampshire for a crime which he did not commit. His ordeal continues as you read these words. His mental health hangs in the balance. RONALD V. JOHNSON, 19, of N.Y.C. is a victim of an elaborate, sinister and racist frame-up. Three white marines hatched a phony rape plot that resulted in a 12-year sentence (later reduced to 5years) for the one time "gung ho" Black marine. Countless Afro-American marines, soldiers, airmen and sailors have unjustly suffered as a r e s u l t of r a c i s t conspiracies from enlisted and higher ranks. Their stories have been frequently reported in MUHAMMAD SPEAKS. Still, the extent of the raging racism in the U.S. military, apparently, goes on unabated. What MS has uncovered, and what has been brought to our attention, of the racial abuses
and injustices in the military merely scratches the surface about the poisonous and vindictive venom that is at play. The mother of Lance Corporal Johnson told MS that "if I don't get my son out soon, they might say he is crazy." She bases her fear on the frightening condition she found her offspring in when she last visited him in jail. He was in a "bad state of mind . . . with his eyes all half closed and acting strange." She asked him what was wrong. "I'm quite high," he responded. She asked him how he got whisky in prison and he replied that it was not alcohol but "a drug they gave me to keep me quiet." The teenaged military prisoner has a l s o e x p e r i e n c e d the indignities of guards spitting in his meals and being splashed with cold water.

The most revealing information is contained in an affidavit of Stephen CRibisi. a white marine private who was charged in the alleged rape with Johnson but acquitted, when the alleged victim could not identify him. MUHAMMAD SPEAKS secured a copy of his statement made on September 9, 1969. In part, it reads "at the time of the supposed crime there was a lot of problems between the Black men and the white men on Camp Hauge (Okinawa). Around three weeks before the supposed crime Johnson had a fight with a (PFC Clifford F.) Pitts. This is what started it all. Pitts and (L/CPL) Moyer were very good pals at the time. Moyer and (L/CPL) Morisette told me that they had a plan to get even with Johnson for what he did to Pitts." (Pitts, Moyer and Morisette are white). "They told me that they were going to fix it up so that it looked like Johnson had raped a girl. This was all I heard of it at the time. Then Johnson's cousin Kennedy had a fight with Morisette, over what I don't know. Well, this made Moyer all the more determine o go on with his plan to frame Johnson of this rape. " . . . this is how (Moyer) said he was going to do it.

Moyer told me he had it fixed up with one of the girls that worked at the mess hall that he was paying her to say she was raped by Johnson and a white man that she could not identify. He said it was suppose to happen by the mess hall and that he needed someone to say that they saw it all happen. He wanted me to be that someone. . . I was fool enough to let Moyer talk me into it. Moyer said he planned it with a white man so it did not look like someone planned it. He did not tell me when it was suppose to happen." (On the night of the alleged incident in April 1968) " I was standing post I I on Camp Hauge. I had the 12 to 3 watch that night and Johnson was my relief. He relieved me a little late and I went to the main gate where Moyer was standing duty at the time. He asked me if I was going to do it. I said I didn't know. He said that I better make up my mind because it was supposed to happen that night. I said that I would think about it. " . . . I went to sleep. The next morning someone told me that a girl at the mess hall was raped by Johnson and some white guy. Well, I did not know what to do at the time but when O.N.I, talked to me I told them Johnson relieved me a little late for duty and I didn't think that he would do it. "That was all I heard of it and a few days later I went to Viet Nam. Then in June they pulled me back for a court on rape. I found out that Moyer said that I was the white man with Johnson. They put me in the brig and I saw Johnson but I couldn't face him and tell him what really happened. So I played it as if I didn't do noghting or know nothing at all about it. "After I spent some time in the brig I got to thinking that what Moyer was doing was all wrong, that I should try to help Johnson and tell everybody what Moyer did. But at the time Johnson left the brig to go back to the states. "Well, I was found not guilty of the charge and went free. At the court the girl said she refused to take a test to see if she ever had intercourse at the time. It is because she was never raped at all and it is a known fact that she is a whore

and sells herself on gate two street in Kosa . . . " Wherever the U.S. military goes, it exploits the Black people and forces their weaker women into prostitution. Another important affidavit shedding light on the true facts in the Johnson case was made by marine Sergeant William B. Farr. His statement, also in the possession of MUHAMMAD SPEAKS, indicates that he was stationed with the Amunition Company on Camp Hauge, Okinawa from December 1967 to December 1968. The accused Black marine joined that command in the summer of 1968. At that time SGT. Farr was working in the Company office. He got to know Johnson "reasonably well" during working hours and saw him on a couple of occasions in the EM (enlisted men's) Club. HE FIRST learned that Johnson was accused of rape when the Black marine was brought in to be locked up for pre-trial confinement. The wheels of military justice then turned very swiftly, but minus the justice. Johnson was convicted, despite any medical evidence that the accusing girl had actually been violated, and the young marine was septenced to a decade plus two ydars in prison at hard labor for the misdeed he did not do. Sgt. Farr was present when Johnson picked up his imprisonment orders from the company office and was taken away for shipment back to the States and prison. After Johnson had departed for the U.S., Farr swears that he learned from a couple of members of his platoon that they had seen Yoshiko Koki (the girl Johnson was accused of attacking) in town while on liberty and that she had told them "Johnson never touched her."

Last January Sgt. Farr was reassigned to the U.S. Naval Disciplinary Command in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. "When I arrived here, I checked to see if Johnson was a prisoner and I found that he was," Sgt. Farr writes in his affidavit. "In March, I had an opportunity to talk with Johnson for the first time and told him I would be willing to sign a statement to help to clear him. Shortly thereafter Johnson's counselor, Chief Bradford, called me in for an interview. I explained the true story to Chief Bradford and told him I would sign a sworn statement. He thanked me and said he would call me if such a statement was needed. That's the last I heard until October 1969 when First Lieutenant Garrell S. Mullaney called me into his office. He said Johnson had informed him that I knew something about his case. I told Lt. Mullaney the whole story and he said he would inform the legal office . . . "
"So the next day I saw her in the EM mess hall," Sgt. Farr's affidavit reads, " I asked her specifically about the incident with Johnson . . . she told me that Johnson had never touched her, but she offered no explanation of why she had falsely accused him at his court-martial." Sgt. F a r r relayed his information to his first sergeant, William G. Spurting, who "apparently never forwarded the information to higher authority." So Johnson has rotted in prison while widespread knowledge of his frameup was disregarded.

Or is it talking your own talk walking your own walk living in some ancient tenement "ruled'' by roaches, rodents wearing 'groovy'' high fashion garb (who cares if it wasn't "bought''') driving a big, shiny car (paid for or not) getting hooked on "hash" smoking Cancer menthols each day filling your stomach with poisonous "soul" food drinking whiskey and wine being lazy—like real L a z a r u s having no use for time and being "hip" to "rock" and "all that jazz" ... ? Accusations against Muslims expose southern whites' religious errors A white Christian, Wallace Wyatt, of Pell City, Ala., called the Jews a "nonmilitant race" in explaining why he could live with them but not with the followers of The H o n o r a b l e E l i j a h Muhammad. Wyatt is the brother of Ray Wyatt, the man who sold farmland to business representatives of the Nation of Islam. WYATT SAID that members of the Nation of Islam, like Jews, are "people who don't believe in Jesus." Whether or not the southern whites who abuse Black people, jailed a Black farmhand on a Muslim farm and shoot Muslim's cattle really believe in Jesus is a question for others to answer. But W y a t t ' s w i d e l y publicized comments—printed without corrections in several national newspapers—contain several factual mistakes. (The newspapers also neglected to say that Wyatt's "authority" on the Muslims is Birch Society propagandist, Revilo P.Oliver.) Wyatt's errors: Jews are a religious group, not a race.
Those in the USA are of mixed European origin—they label themselves white, indicating that their European heritage has largely obliterated the Black Asian background in their minds and traditions. As to their militancy, the o p p r e s s i o n of Black Palestinians by the Zionist movement and the exploitation of Black Americans by segments of their community indicates that they are not entirely "non-militant." THE SOUTHERN white racists do not find the Jews militant because southern Jews no longer tend to oppose racist oppression of Black people. A third major error is the statement that Muslims do not "believe" in Jesus. Informed and civilized people know that Islam accepts Jesus as a prophet of Allah; Muslims, more than most so-called Christians, accept Jesus' teachings and try to follow the religious principles which he conveyed from Allah. The worldwide Black majority has long given up expectation that the white
American and European rulers will "believe in Jesus' teachings." But at the same time the Black majority hopes that whites will end their practice of satanism before it is too late.
Find Liver Rebuilds Itself in Two Weeks LOS ANGELES—Some 90 per cent of a human's liver can be removed surgically and if the remainder has a good supply of blood, the o r g a n c a n regenerate to its original size in a couple of weeks, a researcher recently reported. DR. J . K. S I E M S E N , a s s i s t a n t p r o f e s s o r of radiology at the University of Southern California, recently said that in one case the liver returned to normal size inside of a week. Although it was known that the liver can regenerate, Siemsen said it had not been known that it could do so with such speed. The greater the portion of the liver removed, the faster it grows back, he added.

Within my solitude, which is based on Islam, I continuously seek into the future. I live within the dreadful times of resurrection. I dwell within my very nature, which is thirsty for peace, love and justice. All praises are due to Allah. I have been resurrected, and I fear no one except the Lord of ALL the worlds.

NEW YORK - South African apartheid's first major | setback at the hands of a growing U.S. public opinion was revealed recently when it became known that the 10-bank revolving credit of $40 million extended to South Africa since 1959 would Dot be renewed this year at the request of the South African government itself. PRESSURE ON the 10 U.S. banks, headed by Chase Manhattan and First National City, has grown year by year as the credit became the symbol of direct United States support for a brutal racist police state. "It is entirely possible that the banks themselves initiated the action to terminate the credit arrangement, even though the announced procedure was from the Government of South Africa to Dillon Read & Co. (handling arrangements to the banks)," according to George M. Houser, executive director of the American Committee on Africa (ACOA). The banks have been feeling increasing disapproval of their policies from institutional as well as individual sources. A Committee of Conscience Against Apartheid, headed by ACOA co-chairman A. Philip Randolph, spearheaded a drive in 1966 for withdrawal of accounts and business from the apartheid-supporting banks. In this, churches took the lead. Over the years the United Methodist Board of Missions I withdrew a $10 million investment portfolio from First National City; students and f a c u l t y of Union Theological Seminary organized the withdrawal of accounts from the First National City branch near the seminary; the Episcopal

A f r i c a Church decided to withdraw from all banks that continued in the consortium; and most recently the United Presbyterian Church voted to end business relationships with all involved banks. Smaller groups, such as the magazine Christianity and Crisis, also withdrew accounts. Student concern about u n i v e r s i t y and o t h e r institutional support for the banks and about their investments in South Africa has also grown in the past few years. Cornell dropped the banks from its investment portfolio. Princeton undertook a study of investment policy. At the University of Wisconsin, Rutgers, Brown, Antioch, University of Chicago, University of California (Santa B a r b a r a ) , and Boston Theological and many others, the issue was raised in various other ways. As a result of these campaigns, questions were often raised at stockholders meetings, in particular the annual meetings of Chase Manhattan, First National City and Morgan Guaranty in 1967 arid 1968. On several occasions, demonstrations were -held at the time of meetings, or to emphasize planned withdrawals. More recently N.Y. funds from the banks loaning to South Africa, and nine U.S. Congressmen urged in letters to the banks' presidents nonrenewal of the loan. THE LATEST STAGE of the campaign this year was focused by ACOA on the presence of a branch of Chemical Bank New York Trust Co. at the United Nations headquarters. The UN has frequently expressed its opposition to the apartheid policies of South Africa and the General Assembly has called for the severing of economic relationships, which would include financial credit deals. After ACOA called the attention of UN delegations to the presence of Chemical Bank, the General Assembly passed a resolution calling on the UN and its affiliates specificially to "refrain from extending facilities to banks and oftier financial institutions which provide assistance" to South Africa and firms registered there. The banks were thus in an increasingly uncomfortable position, under attack in public, from within their own institutions, from depositors, stockholders and government officials, and in the United Nations. The highly visible credit arrangement was more trouble than it was worth. United Satates investment in South Africa is growing constantly and the U.S. government's verbal opposition to apartheid and to the takeover of South West Africa are contradicted by actions that strengthen the South African state. "We want total disengagement from support of apartheid," said Houser.

It was found that the drug induced cancer in rats. THE UNTESTED drug had been on the market for quite some time. Most of the diet soft drink companies were using it. It was a substitute for saccharin. On November 19, Robert F i n c h , head of H . E . W . announced that he was reinstating cyclamates on everything except soft drinks, and that diabetics could continue to buy the drug with a prescription. To this day it still has not been established wheather or not cyclamates are fit for human. But it is firmly established that banning it endangered the dividends of many investors, threatening whole i n d u s t r i e s with economic woe.

BUENOS A I R E S - About 15 businesses, most of them U.S. were bombed in Buenos Aires recently in what police termed a coordinated operation against U.S. business establishments. ALL OF the explosions took place in the early morning and reports said that there were no casualties; damage was limited to broken windows, and light masonry damage. Among the U.S. businesses suffering damage in the attacks were Dow Chemical, John Deere Co., the American Club Pan American Oil Co., Braniff Airways, the Bank of Boston, Pepsi Cola, and Burroughs.

The Agriculture Committee members were not hearing for the first time such charges and revelations exposing the shams of one of several "poverty programs." Throughout the Nixon Administration's nine months in office, more than a dozen congressional committees have heard testimony which should have brought about the abandonment of such programs and initiated an honest evaluation of the Agriculture - Industrial complex's programs for the poor, as spearheaded by the Muslims, under the guidance of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. The con gressmen, up to this point however, have chosen to ignore "real" solutions to the problems of the poor; problems which have now grown heavy as a milestone around America's neck. MUHAMMAD SPEAKS has boldly and consistently pointed out that the Earth "can feed billions more people," and that such government sponsored programs as "poverty aids," and "birth control" are vicious schemes designed to demoralize and decapitate the crowing Black population. The c o n c l u s i o n s of MUHAMMAD SPEAKS are not without support from noted health authorities. Dr. Charles Upton Lowe, Chairman of the

A m e r i c a n Academy of Pediatrics Nutrition Committee, told Agriculture Committee members, "Six percent of our people engaged in farming produce enough food to feed 200 million people and in addition, another 160 million people in the rest of the world — while leaving untitled 50 million acres, almost onehalf of our total agricultural resources." "Why then," Lowe asked, "is there so much hunger in our land?" For those who had held notions that "production" constituted the basis of the problem, Lowe argued, "Production figures stagger the imagination . . . fifteen boxcars, each filled with 40 tons of produce leave U.S. farms daily, every minute, to provide the staggering annual total of 324 billion tons of food or forage. "It has been said that with maximum utilization of our crop acreage, we could feed one-third of the world — 1 billion people." Lowe contended further that America has the distributive capacity to bring food to the impoverished, yet vital foods have failed to reach the mouths of millions of innercity and rural Black children. "Approximately 265,000 retail

food outlets exist in our country," he pointed out. P A T H E T I C A L L Y , for millions of poor Black families trapped between poverty, government rhetoric and pacification welfare programs, the picture is chronically bleak. "If they are children, they are apathetic and withdrawn; if they are adults, they are listless and sluggish; if they are infants, they die; and if they are old, they starve." A l l the w h i l e , the government pays out over $300 million to farmers,, in individual amounts exceeding $20,000, so that they will leave their farm land IDLE. This then does not indicate any attempt on the part of government to solve its growing problem of rank poverty in the midst of plenty. Instead, the government joins the Birch Society elements in spreading the myth of a dangerous "population explosion" among Black peoples. Government statistics, often well below the actual count, lists eleven million of the nation's 58 million children in abject poverty. The greater percentage of these impoverished children are Black.
Many "unimpressed" congressmen who operate upon the so-called bibical theorem, "the poor you have with you always," and deny that racism belies the state of Black poverty in America, contend that 21 million white people and "only 10 million Black people live at or below the poverty level;" thus no racism. They neglect however to point out that 40 percent of the Black people in this country live in poverty as compared to 12 percent for whites, according to their own diluted statistics. Many veteran observers here see America's neglect of the white A p p a l a c h i a n dwellers and the poor southern (Continued on page 29)

whites as a white "sacrificial" gambit to ward off the charges of deliberate racism and genocide against Blacks. What could be more h y p o c r i t i c a l than congressional acquiescence in the face of charges brought by Lowe • and others at the A g r i c u l t u r e Committee hearings. "In our favored communities, the infant mortality rate is 16 deaths per 1,000 live births. In our poor Black communities it may be as high as 50; and in some predominantly Black slums, rates may reach 100 death per 1,000 live births. This last figure means that 10 percent of all (Black) children born, die within the first year of life. There have been recent verified reports that many Black inner-city families have included "dog food" in their diet. Malnutrition is said to be rampant, with numerous, and growing discoveries of "worm infestation." During the heat of Congressional Malnutrition and hunger investigations earlier in the year, witnesses were heard to describe stomach-revolting scenes of Black children in rural North Carolina vomiting 4 and 5 inch worms; some crawling from their nose and ears. THESE HORRIFYING conditions of poverty and n e g l e c t a b o u n d , but government ears grow deafer, and even counter-moves are being made against those

Meanwhile, the Administration has leaked a new broadside plan of attack upon the Black community guised under the popular "selfdetermination" phrase. THE LEAK came ostensibly in a recent speech by Benjamin Holman, (see MS Nov. 28) a Black Community Relations Director, who has long served white clandestine interests as a professional "spy."

Program
W h a t the Muslims Want This is the question asked most frequently by both the whites and the blacks. The answers to this question I shall state as simply as possible. 1. We want freedom. We want a full and complete freedom. 2. We want justice. Equal justice under the law. We want justice applied equally to all, regardless of creed or class or color. 3. We want equality of opportunity. We want equal membership in society with the best in civilized society. 4. We want our people in America whose parents or grandparents were descendants from slaves, to be allowed to establish a separate state or territory of their own—either on this continent or elsewhere. We believe that our former slave masters are obligated to provide such land and that the area must be fertile and minerally rich. We believe that our former slave masters are obligated to maintain and supply our needs in this separate territory for the next 20 to 25 years—until we are able to produce and supply our own needs. Since we cannot get along with them in peace and equality, after giving them 400 years of our sweat and blood and receiving in return some of the worst treatment human beings have ever experienced, we believe our contributions to this land and the suffering forced upon us by white America, justifies our demand for complete separation in a state or territory of our own. 5. We want freedom for all Believers of Islam now held in federal prisons. We want freedom for all black men and women now under death sentence in innumerable prisons in the North as well as the South. We want every black man and woman to have the freedom to accept or reject being separated from the slave master's children and establish a land of their own. We know that the above plan for the solution of the black and white conflict is the best and only answer to the problem between two people.
6. We want an immediate end to the police brutality and mob attacks against the so-called Negro throughout the United States. We believe that the Federal government should intercede to see that black men and women tried in white courts receive justice in accordance with the laws of the land—or allow us to build a new nation for ourselves, dedicated to justice, freedom and liberty. 7. As long as we are not allowed to establish a state or territory of our own, we demand not only equal justice under the laws of the United States, but equal employment opportunities-NOW! We do not believe that after 400 years of free or nearly free labor, sweat and blood, which has helped America become rich and powerful, that so many thousands of black people should have to subsist on relief, charity or live in poor houses. 8. We want the government of the United States to exempt our people from A L L taxation as long as we are deprived of equal justice under the laws of the land. 9. We want equal education—but separate schools up to 16 for boys and 18 for girls on the condition that the girls be sent to women's colleges and universities. We want all black children educated, taught and trained by their own teachers. Under such schooling system we believe we will make a better nation of people. The United States government should provide, free, all necessary text books and equipment, schools and college buildings. The Muslim teachers shall be left free to teach and train their people in the way of righteousness, decency and self respect. 10. We believe that intermarriage or race mixing should be prohibited. We want the religion of Islam taught without hinderance or suppression. These are some of the things that we, the Muslims, want for our people in North America.
W h a t t h e M u s l i m s Believe 1. W E B E L I E V E in the One God Whose proper Name is Allah. . 2. W E B E L I E V E in the Holy Qur-an and in the Scriptures of all the Prophets of God. 3. W E B E L I E V E in the truth of the Bible, but we believe that it has been tampered with and must be reinterpreted so that mankind will not be snared by the falsehoods that have been added to it. 4. W E B E L I E V E in Allah's Prophets and the Scriptures they brought to the people. 5. W E B E L I E V E in the resurrection of the dead—not in physical resurrection—but in mental resurrection. We believe that the socalled Negroes are most in need of mental resurrection; therefore, they will be resurrected first.
Furthermore, we believe we are the people of God's choice, as it has been written, that God would choose the rejected and the despised. We can find no other persons fitting this description in these last days more than the so-called Negroes in A m e r i c a . We believe in the resurrection of the righteous. 6. W E B E L I E V E in the judgement; we believe this first judgement will take place as God revealed, in America . . . 7. W E B E L I E V E this is the time in history for the separation of the so-called Negroes and the so-called white Americans. We believe the black man should be freed in name as well as in fact. By this we mean that he should be freed from the names imposed upon him by his former slave masters. Names which identified him as being the slave master's slave. We believe that if we are free indeed, we should go in our own people's names—the black peoples of the earth.

8. W E B E L I E V E in justice for all, whether in God or not; we believe as others, that we are due equal justice as human beings. We believe in equality—as a nation — of equals. We do not believe that we are equal with our slave masters in the status of "freed slaves." We recognize and respect American citizens as independent peoples and we respect their laws which govern this nation. 9. W E B E L I E V E that the offer of integration is hypocritical and is made by those who are trying to deceive the black peoples into believing that their 400-year-old open enemies of freedom, justice and equality are, all of a sudden, their "friends." Furthermore, we believe that such deception is intended to prevent black people from realizing that the time in history has arrived for the separation from the whites of this nation. If the white people are truthful about their professed friendship toward the so-called Negro, they can prove it by dividing up America with their slaves. We do not believe that America will ever be able to furnish enough jobs for her own millions of unemployed, in addition to jobs for the 20,000,000 black people as well. 10. W E B E L I E V E that we who declared ourselves to be righteous Muslims, should not participate in wars which take the lives of humans. We do not believe this nation should force us to take part in such wars, for we have nothing to gain from it unless America agrees to give us the necessary territory wherein we may have something to fight for. 11. W E B E L I E V E our women should be respected and protected as the women of other nationalities are respected and protected. 12. W E B E L I E V E that Allah (God) appeared in the Person of Master W. Fard Muhammad, July, 1930; the long-awaited "Messiah" of the Christians and the "Mahdi" of the Muslims. We believe further and lastly that Allah is God and besides HIM there is no God and He will bring about a universal government of peace wherein we ail can live in peace together.
