Be silent; Do not reveal.

Campaign Author A Mother’s Work is Never Done ABOUT ME
For the past 25 years I have been the primary caregiver to my three children, all of whom are Indigenous. I have lived and worked in a remote community for 30 years, became a young mum at 16 and, to date, my children are my proudest achievements. I was born in Queensland in July 1980, home schooled until the age of ten, and completed my schooling in the Northern Territory in November 2001. Due to the negligence and unlawful acts of multiple organisations, my moral compass has compelled me to shine a light on how government organisations fail to protect children in their care, time and time again, as well as blatantly violate mothers’ and women’s rights alike.
MUM’s THE WORD is a campaign that demonstrates how corporate boys’ clubs, such as the National Rugby League (NRL), are STILL committing negligent, unlawful, and discriminatory acts against mothers and women alike. In the last two years, I have contacted multiple governing bodies and ministers while incurring sizeable legal costs with no resolve or support. I have Bipolar Disorder and the the stress from being ill treated, bullied and psychologically manipulated by these organisations has resulted in suffering two manic episodes which ended in hospitalisation. I hope to gain unified support from you, so together, we can apply pressure to ensure organisations fulfill their duty of care, moral obligations and are directed to comply with the law to protect the welfare of our children, as well as mothers’ and women’s rights alike.
Thank you for your time,
Mareva

Root Cause The NRL and Player Agent, SFX’s blatant violations of the LAW which are exploiting minors, violating women’s rights, and sidelining mothers in the sport.

Each parent has parental responsibility (subject to court orders). Each of the parents of a child who is not 18 has parental responsibility for the child.
NRL changed the two-parent consent rule to one-parent consent for minors to sign players agreements with agents. This rule is non-compliant with the LAW, violates parental rights, and, in this case, discriminates against mothers and women alike. This is unlawful conduct.

Other Offenders A summary of negligent acts by other state, federal and non-for-profit organisations. This begs the question,

Personal Impact Due to gross negligence and incompetence from multiple organisations, these are just a few personal impacts that I have had to endure in an attempt to protect my child and maintain my rights as a mother and woman. It has almost taken my life twice, as well as severely fractured my relationship with my family and son. It has been psychologically devasting and emotionally crippling.
