What is the MTS Annual Fund? Like most independent schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of providing an exceptional education for every MTS student. We rely on both tuition income and philanthropic gifts to balance our budget each year. Tuition covers 90% of our operations, and the Annual Fund covers the remaining 10%.
How much should I give? •
We hope you will give generously in an amount that is meaningful to your family and that you can sustain or increase over your years at MTS.

Gifts of every size are important and appreciated, and range each year from $10-$50,000 or more.

The annual gap amount per student is $4,100. The average parent gift to the Annual Fund last year was $6,238.
Why should I give? The MTS Annual Fund is the collective gift of our community, funding people, programs, and possibilities above and beyond what tuition alone can support. Making a gift to the Annual Fund is a statement of your belief in the school’s mission and its commitment to educating students.
At MTS, we find joy and satisfaction in the pursuit of knowledge. We welcome the successes and challenges that come with being learners and celebrate the journey!
MTS at 50 This year, MTS will joyfully celebrate its 50th year! We hope you will join us in the festivities. KEY DATES
Saturday, May 1 A family-friendly daytime event on campus, followed by an evening party for adults. Save the date!
What about Big Night Out and Grandparents & Special Friends Day? Both are taking a one-year break so we can bring the whole community together for the anniversary. These events will be back next year.
Capital Campaign MTS launches a capital campaign every five to ten years, as approved by the MTS Board of Trustees. Families should anticipate being invited to support one to two such campaigns over their tenure at the school. What is the Capital Campaign? Capital campaigns fund transformative, one-time needs for the school that tuition and annual fundraising alone cannot meet. For MTS, our current Into Action capital campaign is funding phase one and phase two construction projects, a fund for the Professional Community, and a fund for Financial Assistance.
What is the Capital Campaign fundraising goal? The Into Action campaign goal is $12,000,000. So far, we have raised $10,900,000.

Are we being asked to contribute to the campaign in addition to the Annual Fund? Yes. The Annual Fund comes first: it is our top fundraising priority, and we ask every family to join each fall. This spring, we will also invite the entire community to help us finish the Into Action campaign as we mark our 50th anniversary.
