2019-20 Episcopal Collegiate Annual Fund

Building for Our Future

The Episcopal Collegiate Annual Fund The Episcopal Collegiate Annual Fund is the School’s ongoing fundraising effort that directly supports each student’s daily experiences, both in and outside of the classroom. Because the Annual Fund helps to bridge the gap between tuition and the actual cost of an Episcopal education, this annual campaign is our community’s philanthropic priority. The Annual Fund allows us to hire and retain outstanding faculty, facilitates small class sizes that allow for individual attention, provides state-of-the-art technology, and supports athletic success as well as various enrichment opportunities under the direction of outstanding artists, performers, and musicians.

Closing the $5,726 Gap Tuition provides 71 percent of our operating budget, leaving a $5,726 difference between what families pay and the actual cost of an Episcopal education. The Annual Fund, combined with auxiliary program income and our endowment, covers this gap for each and every student, completely independent from any other financial aid he or she may be receiving. By supporting the annual fund, you are supporting more affordable tuition for every one of our families.

2019-20 Annual Fund Goal: $550,000 With your support, we can meet our goal of $550,000 by June 30, 2020. You can make your gift via the enclosed envelope or online at episcopalcollegiate.org/support-us.

The Impact of Your Participation We cannot be successful in this endeavor without participation from our entire community—our Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, parents and grandparents, and alumni. Your tax-deductible donation of any amount, not only supports our children, but also influences the giving decisions of other individuals and organizations. DID YOU KNOW? Each year, our Board of Trustees and Faculty are the first in our community to fully commit to the Annual Fund. Both groups have already reached 100% participation in the 2019-20 Annual Fund.

Why I Give

Michelle Dowell

parent of Jacob ’14 and Caleb ’17; Upper School Science Department chair and physics teacher

“As a parent, I recognized how extraordinary Episcopal was in its commitment to creating a space where my boys had encouragement to be who they are while stimulating them to try things outside of their comfort zones. As a teacher, I am overwhelmed with gratitude that Episcopal provides the financial support to supply the physics classroom with equipment that optimizes the student learning experience. Enriching the classroom environment and enriching the student experience is of paramount importance at Episcopal Collegiate, and that is why I give.”

The Run Wild Campaign In August, we celebrated the official launch of our Run Wild Campaign, a $3.5 million fundraising initiative to enhance our athletic facilities. The project includes a first-class track and field complex, significant improvements to our stadium, and upgraded locker rooms in the Championship Gym for both boys and girls. The track and synthetic turf field will be available to every member of our student body through participation in physical education classes and athletic teams, our emerging strength and conditioning program, running clubs, and individual fitness efforts. With your help, we can create something that will be transformational for our students, our programs, and our future.

We invite you to support this exciting new milestone in the life of Episcopal Collegiate. For more information, please contact Matt Radtke at 501.978.4420 or mradtke@episcopalcollegiate.org.
