Stanze - Rooms The primary organizational characteristic of the Italian Garden is: Outdoor Rooms - Stanze. French gardens are characterized by the majestic classical axis, and English gardens by the naturalistic organization. Italian gardens can contain both of these themes, however, it is the creation of outdoor rooms, be they formal or naturalistic, that is the overriding them evident in Iatlian Gardens. The Outdoor rooms are usually defined by Greenhouses, Palazzi, Hedges, Lake fronts, Trees, Labyrinths, or sweeping views toward the city below.

Labyrinth A major theme in the organization of traditional and contemporary Italian gardens is the introduction of the labyrinth as the primary architectural element. The labyrinth is both physically and metaphorically the icon of the Italian garden, and often hides within it’s central core a reflective fountain or pavilion.

Fountain The primary element in the Italian garden is the fountain. The fountain is almost always placed in the physical center of the Italian garden, and often, due to the nature of Italian gardens to be built upon a hilly terrain, waterways and rivulets bring water symbolically from the clouds, to the mountains, to the ‘lake’ or ‘sea’. This pictorial sublimations of natures cycle in miniature is a reoccurring there. The sound of water is ever-present. The fountain is physically and metaphorically the primary element of the Italian garden, often hiding within the center of a labyrinth.

Lightweight structural elements that recall the morphology of a pergola host the following funtions: - cash desk - changing rooms - VIP room and Meeting room

Cashiers gli elementi di arredo, a scala inferiore rispetto alle pareti , si integrano con le medesime ed arricchiscono l’articolazione naturale degli spazi Display elements, created at a smaller scale than the curved walls, are integrated within these ‘hedge - walls’, and when pulled out, enrichen the natural articulation of the retail space.

L’area di ingresso è costituita da teche/ serre in grado di ospitare gli elementi della comunicazione, la merce e altri elementi scenografici The entrance area is formed by greenhouse like structures capable of hosting merchandise, window displays, logos and brand communications.

Il Verde

Ampi vasi in Cemento colorato/terra cotta ospitano una piantumazione mista. Tali strutture prevedono superfici per l’esposizione della merce o come sedute.

Oversized vases in colored concrete or terra-cotta contain a variegated mix of trees, plants and essences. These elements double as horizontal display surface for merchandise as well as seating elements.

Il soffitto è costituito da pannelli di forma libera. Alcuni di questi, in associazione con zone particolari, sono dedicati a riprodurre dei “cieli viventi”

The ceiling is constructed with free-form panels. Some of these panels, in specific zones such as the cafe, are enlivened with representations of the Italian sky, andare in constant movement.
