AIKA

Melvin has been our best friend throughout the District Board experience. This year, we have put various miscellaneous objects into his gaping mouth. He has been holding on to a stale piece of bubble gum (wrapped by the way) since November. We like to toss Melvin around to each other, hanging on to him as we volunteer, take him around event centers, and so much more. Ensuring that every Key Clubber understands what and who he is has been a challenging mission. He is the not-so-hidden but very misunderstood figure who symbolizes Montana Key Club: bravery, unity, commitment, and boldness. You should go check out our promotional video featuring the kidnapping of Melvin on our social media platforms!

ORION

During my term, I have focused on refining the Secretary Reports and assisting the other members of the board with the planning of events

such as our Youth Conference and the District Convention. The bulk of my work on the Secretary Reports consisted of recording the submissions from clubs and reorganizing the ladder points document to be more intuitively read and filled out. In regards to planning events, I have prepared presentations to give and helped the governor to plan and review the materials used at the events.

HAYLEE

My favorite memory from my time on the board was doing the color run during our first board trainer and attacking each other with the chalk at the end of the run!

RAYA

My favorite board memory was when we played among us during the holiday hangout. i am really good at reading facial expressions so whenever we started a new round i would look at everyone’s zoom screen to sus out the impostors. Unfortunately i was too good at it, so we had to then play without our cameras on.

LANE

Throughout my time on the board, I have transformed the biggest Division of Montana Key Club into a productive communicating machine. From 1 club out of

eight (my club) I have gotten 5 clubs consistently doing what they need to do, and on time. With my time on the Board I have learned how to work with people, get stuff done, and have fun while doing it. I'm very happy that I spent time on the board, and hopefully my successor (or me again) can get Division one to finally get those last 3 elusive clubs. Hopefully the clubs that I have enlightened will make more and more virtuous citizen leaders, and enjoy Key Club for a long time. :)

IAN

Looking back on my time on the board, one of my favorite memories was our first board meeting in the summer. It was such a great experience getting to know everyone, and I feel like we all became really close throughout the year. I also think I might have adopted Val’s Red Bull addiction along the way!

ELORA

Ian, Olivia, and I created a dance mom's skit during the Winter board. We recreated the pyramid meme, ranked different Key Club behaviors, and promoted DCON on one of the tears. We had a great laugh while creating a core Key Club memory.

OLIVIA

For dinner the whole board went to Olive Garden, where everyone ordered specific things to stay under the budget and we got so full on just salad and breadsticks. It was a good night and a fun memory with my amazing board members.

CONNOR

not from this year last year's boardBoard Trainer, I w the car of anothe member, leaving th alley in Great Fa our group activity. The person driving the car forgot to put the car in reverse to back out of the parking lot, and

accidentally drove their car over a parking divider and got it stuck! Everyone in the car had to work together to push it back onto the ground, and it was a really funny moment to end a fun day.

CADENCE

Throughout the year, I had the opportunity to travel across the state for board retreats. These weekends weren’t just about serious discussions and planning; they were also a chance to build friendships. After spending the days brainstorming

ideas to support our districts and the state, we’d unwind with games, help with a color run, have photo sessions and let's not forget the yummy food. It has been incredible to connect on a deeper level with kids from all corners of Montana who shared the same drive to make a difference.

HOUSTON

My favorite story is a completely random one. Late one night after our summer board meeting we settled down and decided to play a game, after some debate we decided to have Copen teach us how to play poker. I have no idea how we settled on it but we did. We didn’t have chips and could find any at the Dollar Store or Walmart so we used different colored sugar packets. To any one who wants to know Conner won. It’s now a core memory for me

COPEN

A lot of work gets done the board meetings, but a of fun happens as well, along with some scares. During Winter Board specifically, instead of sleeping, several of the board members opted to play

One Night Ultimate Werewolf. We had been playing for a long time in the dark, and everyone had their guard down. This became an issue during the middle of a later round when a loud crash emanated somewhere in the room nearby. The sudden change from silence to a loud noise combined with the dark to be the cause of several heart attacks. It, unbeknownst until later, turned out to simply be some things on the nearby table falling over. It ended up being an adrenaline inducing though fun memory.
