In this competitive arena, Ashe County is no different.

And so this year’s annual Best of the Best in Ashe County is even more special than in past years. Not only were there more than 150 awards presented during the red carpet luncheon celebration of Ashe County’s outstanding businesses — the most ever — those awards

were presented to businesses and organizations which succeed at what they do each and every day.

How do we know this? That’s simple. We know because those businesses represented in this section were chosen by the most discriminating of judges — you.

Any business owner in Ashe County can tell you that it’s not easy to get a spot on the red carpet. The award ceremony presented at West Jefferson United Methodist Church’s Hensley Fellowship Hall is for those businesses chosen by their customers. It is their customers who

vote on categories ranging from accountant to women’s clothing. At the Ashe Post & Times, we simply tally the results and present the winners.

Yet, there is common ground found among the winners. They all fill a need in our community, and in so doing go out of their way to make the customer experience one to be remembered.
