These arc among the busiest offices on campus, unless you are trying to get on a computer terminal, "B ur Bill. you've got me leaching three classes. same hour. sa me day!"
but that's another story. The Business office is the place to go if you have to pay your fee's, parking fines, and if you work for the State. you can even pick up your paychecks. The staff is ready, willing and able to help you out al any time. The SAO is where you can get the Scoop on the up and corning events, on and off campus. The crew is well informed on these happenings, so stop in and get the "scoop". Making copies of important papers? Is the line at the copying machine too long? Out of nickels'! Stop in at the Printing office and get the service you need, when you need it. The registrar's office can help you out before, during and after the Registration process gets you down, drop by any Lime. they'll help you. The Bookstore has all the supplies lo get you through your four years al Tech and if they don't they will be more than happy to try and track down just what you need.

On April 6, 7, & 8, 1984 The Montana Tech Drama Club presented "Dark
Deeds at Swan's Place or Never Trust a Tattooed Sailor", a melodrama that according to one critic "will no doubt remain in your light-hearted memories."
It was an enormous success with about 700 people attending over the three day run. Students, children and Senior citizens roared with delight as they hissed the villians and applauded the handsome hero in what reviewer Betty Raymond
called a "fresh, fast and lively treat."

As Editor of the MAGMA for the year 1984, I would like to thank everyone that helped in the production of this book, so that it would be published on time by the publisher, .Jostens American Yearbook Company.
Due credit should be given to the Photo staff and especially the co-photo editors, who were a necessary backbone in having their staff cover the events of the past year. I realize that all events were not covered but an attempt was made to do so. Credit should be given Lo the Asst. Editor, who put in many hours to organize the staff, proofread the pages. and gain information on layout of the book. Every auempt was made to make sure that the book was free of errors. but errors will always show up. Many painstaken hours were put into this book so it would be the best yearbook ever published at Montana Tech. Every effort was made to make this book appeal to everyone, so that everyone would enjoy and remember their stay at Montana Tech, and make it a popular book among students and staff. A special thank goes to Don Miller for holding the staff together when problems arose. He also helped in the defense of the MAGMA for various reasons. Everyone should be highly commended for their efforts in finishing this yearbook. Thanks to all who helped. Patrick Bailey Editor MAGMA I 983- l 984

let us pray with confidence 10 God, who gives life to all things, that he will raise up this beloved friend and colleague, to the perfection and the company of the saints. May God be merciful to Terry. May Christ, the Good Shepherd, lead him safely home to be al peace with God our Father. May Terry and all those who have gone before us rest in peace. President Fred OeMoney Books are a guide in youth, and an entertainment for age. They support us under solitude, and keep us from becoming a burden to ourselves. They help us 10 forget the crossness of men and things, compose our cares and our passions, and lay our disappointments asleep. When we are weary of the living, we may repair to the dead, who have nothing of peevishness, pride, or design in their conversation. Jeremy Collier
