100,000

MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN

DECA’S COMPETITIVE EVENTS PROGRAM ANNUALLY.

PROCESS

Students prepare for competition by writing business plans, conducting public relations campaigns and collaborating with local businesses to conduct market research studies. They present and compete in more than 60 career areas at the State Career Development Conference hoping to be named State Champion(s) and advance to the International Career Development Conference late April in Orlando, FL.

IMPACT

Roughly 1,800 students, teachers and business professionals will attend the State Career Development Conference. It’s projected that this conference will bring substantial revenue to Silverbow County. We’re investing in Silverbow County to make this conference a success, and we ask you to invest in DECA to help make this happen.

VOLUNTEER

We need 150 business professionals to serve as competitive event judges at the State Career Development Conference. The event time blocks are in two-hour increments, and we encourage you to judge two time blocks. You will receive meals, as well as a small gift for your time. A judge orientation will be provided before you meet with the students who are ready to "Wow!" you with their skills, passion and dedication. To see a sample video of what a judge does at competition, please visit mtdeca.com/volunteer.

WINNING

This is a perfect opportunity to get your whole company involved in giving back to the next generation of employees. Whether you use the SCDC as a service day for your office, a way to earn volunteer hours or create a sense of community for your employees, everyone comes out a winner by getting involved. When you volunteer, you help future leaders gain both valuable insight and advice from real business professionals.
