The MTA SA/NT Annual Report 2020-21 highlights the activities, achievements, performance and events across our 2020-21 financial year ending 31 March 2021. We finished the year strongly with a total membership of 1268 – our highest overall figure since 1998. We also saw significant advocacy wins over the past 12 months, including successfully pushing for landmark dealer franchise arrangements that will protect Australian new car dealers going forward and the passing of Right to Repair legislation. And with skill shortages appearing as the current biggest issue faced by our automotive industry, the MTA is working tirelessly to ensure that the pipeline of future skills through apprenticeships is strong. Finally, the MTA has continued to be proactive in the face of the global pandemic, bringing timely information and useful resources to members to help them navigate changes, opportunities for and restrictions to their business.
