T

his publication is the result of the Polish Design Summer School 2021, which was dedicated to industrial design students at the University of Tehran. The PDSS was a collaboration among the Embassy of Poland in Tehran, the Institute for Industrial Design in Warsaw, and the Department of Industrial Design at Tehran University’s Faculty of Fine Arts. It consisted of a series of webinars with Polish designers and researchers to discuss topics such as synesthetic design and neuroarchitecture. The lectures also addressed human senses’ role in design, specifically how they affect perception and understanding of the surrounding, as well as the reception of objects and spaces. An additional series of online lectures at Tehran University titled “Technodesign Webinars” discussed the principles of designing furniture in response to a consumer’s lifestyle with a view to provide sustainable solutions to his specific needs.

The preceding approach adheres to the most recent trend while also addressing the challenges of the pandemic era. Our way of life and work has changed in the last two years. Thus, a need to revisit and re-conceptualize the immediate surroundings at home and at work. A simple example would be a search for furniture that will allow to convert some a living space into an office. Another is about connectivity – solutions that compensate for social ruptures caused by limited mobility, a design that provides a sense of staying connected, all within a given spatial and cultural context.

With this knowledge, Tehran University students were tasked of designing items that would reduce the negative effects of distancing (or temporary confinement) on mental wellbeing. We present their ideas in this booklet – a fascinating result of harnesing passion, knowledge, and imagination together!

Keeping in Touch during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Staying at home during the pandemic have exacerbated our feeling of loneliness.

We have to make more effort to keep in touch with people and our families and friends, and find new ways to maintain our minds and bodies active. While we may be physically separated from our friends, family members, and other loved ones, maintaining those social connections has never been more important. Social connections provide an opportunity to seek and share support, talk about complex feelings, share a laugh, keep up-to-date with loved ones, and help each other. The COVID-19 pandemic places too much burden on individuals to be able to deal with it on their own. While measures such as social distancing and self-isolation are necessary to slow down the spread of the virus, physical separation can amplify many challenging emotions such as loneliness and fear. Thinking about different ways to connect became extremely important for young designers. One solution is to empower human senses to perceive life differently.

The Polish Design Summer School was organized online at the Department of Industrial Design of the University of Tehran with the support of Embassy of Poland in Iran and Institute of Industrial Design of Warsaw to inspire creation of products, services, or environments helping people to be in touch during the COVID-19 pandemic, communicate together and ameliorate their well-being. Following the lectures on the human senses and their vital role in design, the students were asked to propose sensory experience solutions for people during the pandemic.

This program aligned with two courses at Industrial Design Department: one on ergonomic design focusing on healthcare devices dedicated to the third-year bachelor students; second on the idea creation focusing on home during the COVID-19 pandemic for the first-year master students.

The inspiring lectures given by Polish researchers and designers opened new horizons of reflection for our young students to look at the environment differently and pay more attention to the key role human senses play in our perception of the world. A total of ten projects, presented in this catalogue, were selected to be 6

realized for the exhibition. Each project confronts differently the issue of human senses with relation to the pandemic situation. We can follow the students in their analysis of the problem and examine proposed solutions, which demonstrate novel approaches and their creativity.

On my side, I was very proud and pleased to execute this successful joint project.

I would like to sincerely thank Embassy of Poland in Iran for its readiness to cooperate on the present-day challenges for industrial design and our Polish colleagues for sharing their invaluable experiences and accompanying our young designers who will influence the society with their new vision. I hope that this enjoyable experience will be continued in the coming years.

Dr. Adel Mazloumi PhD in Ergonomics from the University of Occupational and Environmental Health (UOEH), Japan and a professor at the Department of Occupational Health Engineering, Tehran University of Medical Sciences

Due to my occupational health engineering background I have been engaged for several years in a joint research and educational projects with Industrial Design Department at Fine Arts College of Tehran University. Within this framework we offered training on application of ergonomics in industrial design for Bachelor, Masters and PhD students. They received mentorship and support needed for in-depth studies of harnessing ergonomics in their projects. This novel approach provided the researchers and students with innovative perspectives.

“Polish Design Summer School” organized at the end of the Spring 2021 semester by the Embassy of the Poland in Iran and with participation of lecturers from Polish Institute of Industrial Design, offered a valuable scientific contribution in this regard. Design contest conducted during the PDSS resulted in ten interesting prototypes selected for production.

I would like to express my high appreciation for such a participatory and joint program between the two nations and hope to have a similar program in future.

Building a Sense of

Security in Space Dr. Joanna Jurga

Living in isolation, which seemed far-fetched, only affecting a small group of astronauts, polar explorers, and researchers, has now become a part of our everyday reality.

It is critical to draw the attention of young designers to synesthetic design, which is concerned with using human senses to perceive a given space or object, because it allows for not only visually appealing designs, but also those that are pleasant to the senses of touch, hearing, and taste. It is of utmost importance in today’s world of recurring social isolation and constant redefining of our reality. Design that takes into account our sensory perception of our surroundings provides the user with a sense of comfort by harmonizing all of the senses that he or she uses to perceive a given space or object. Interior sterilization, increased societal individualization, radical acceleration of our pace of life, transfer of most of our experiences and relationships to online reality, and technological developments all resulted in the disappearance of sensory experiences and uneven use of all five.

Our environment is supposed to provide us with a sense of physical safety.

We are constantly instructed, monitored, scanned, and warned about the hazards of sharing space with one another. We have lost the fragility associated with our sensory perception as a result of increased control over us. On a psychological level, the physical security that we were provided with began to cause discomfort and fear. It is important to remember that each human sense operates differently and provides different information to our brain. Some of them act involuntarily (e.g., hearing). We choose our partners using our sense of smell, we can move around in a given space using our sense of sight, we can relax using our sense of touch, and we can feel pleasure using our sense of taste. Some senses have received 8

more attention than others in our postindustrial reality (sight), while others have long been forgotten (smell). However, it is the unified harmonization and functioning of all five of them that allows us to feel calm and secure.

We have accumulated a wide range of experiences relating to our needs and fears over the last two years. That is why, during the Polish Design Summer School 2021, teaching young people compassion and observation has been prioritized in order to ensure that they can provide design solutions that are reflective of current issues.

We discussed fundamental human senses, needs, and a shared experience of pandemic reality as part of our lectures for the University of Tehran. Using the information gathered and their own experiences, the students created multisensory objects that can soothe and support our daily functioning. The projects that resulted were tender and attentive, dealing with emotions, family relationships, and the need for intimacy. All were created with actual needs in mind, taking into account the target group, use, and purpose, in order to help us feel safe and comfortable in small spaces. The final concepts were designed to protect human senses, which is critical in today’s chaotic and overstimulating environment.

I am confident that both lecturers and designers or researchers should do everything in their power to make knowledge about factors that contribute to our sense of security, mechanisms of the human organism, what serves it well and what harms it, easily accessible. As a result, new generations will be able to easily design not only beautiful objects, but also human-friendly environments in which we can grow and invent rather than simply survive.

POLISH DESIGNERS AND RESEARCHERS Dr. Joanna Jurga Product and interior designer, innovator and university lecturer. Specialist in terms of security design. Keen on discussing issues concerning the area of speculative and synesthetic design.

Analogue astronaut and a two-time space mission commander at Lunares Habitat. Meditation instructor and outer space enthusiast. Carried out research in collaboration with the Infuture Hatalska Foresight Institute and the Instytut Kontekstow Pracy. Her works have been recognized in exhibitions both in Poland and abroad. She has taken part in a number of design festivals (Lodz Design Festival, Gdynia Design Days, Dutch Design Week). Finalist in MakeMe, Young Polish Designer, Innovation Ad, and Jutronauci competitions.

Justyna Puchalska Her research interests include: 1. Collective Intelligence - how can people and computers collaborate more organically? 2. AI and Machine Learning 3. Design research practice and theory; 4. Frontiers in science, technology and art – how can we transcend spatial and temporal scales to make the invisible accessible to our senses?

Her design experience is based on Finnish research and development projects centered on the integration of scientific knowledge into architectural thinking and the design process. Graduated in Spatial and Product design from Aalto University, School of Arts, Design and Architecture. As a Project Manager, she facilitates a team’s ability to thrive and meet creative goals. She taught design research and forensic architecture as a guest lecturer at RMIT Summer Studio and ESARQ University.

in Polish Design Summer School 2021 Tomek Rygalik Designer, curator, and educator with a Ph.D. degree. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Lodz and graduated from the Pratt Institute in New York with a degree in Industrial Design.

After graduating from the Royal College of Art, he became a Research Associate at the RCA. He established Studio Rygalik in 2006. He is a professor and the Director of Graduate Studies at the Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He designs projects for Moroso, Noti, Comforty, Paged, Ghidini, Cappellini, Profim, Ideal Standard, Siemens, Heineken, and Ikea, among others. He has also served as creative director for a number of leading Polish brands since 2010. He also collaborates with institutions such as The Adam Mickiewicz Institute, The Polish National Opera, The Museum of the History of Polish Jews, BOZAR, Zachta, The Frederic Chopin Museum, The National Museum, and the Polish Culture Institute. He designed Poland’s EU Council Presidency. Many of his projects are on display in the Warsaw National Museum’s permanent exhibition. He founded the brand TRE Product in 2015, and since 2016, he has been working on the interdisciplinary platform Design Nature and the creative campus Sobole.

Maria Przybyszewska Born in 1984. Photographer by education, plant-based chef by passion and love. Except for a few months spent on an internship at Noma in Copenhagen, she is self-taught. “Plant cuisine, in my opinion, is the way of the future, and there is no turning back. People will be perplexed in a few decades as to how they ever ate meat every day. I believe that the current trend of reducing meat in the daily diet is strengthening, and there is no reason to believe that this will change.”

Kama Wybieralska Lighting designer and product designer, founder of aureola.studio. She received her BA in Product Design and Visual Communication from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and her MA in Lighting Design from Parsons, the New School of Design in New York. She began working at L’Observatioire International in New York after graduating. She honed her skills while working with architects such as OMA (Mori Tower in Tokyo), Diller Scofidio + Renfro (Illuminated River contest entry), and Citterio-Viel & Partners (Rockefeller Center Plaza, NYC). In 2017, she joined Richard Meier Lights’ design team to work on the ‘Places’ light fixture collection. She established her practice in Warsaw, Poland, in 2020.

Aureola.studio works with light on a variety of scales that ranges from illuminating large-scale architecture and landscape, museums, office spaces, private residences, scenography, to light installations and custom light fixtures. She is currently working on her light fixture and object line.

Aleksandra Pawlowska An olfactory artist and photographer. She uses scent as an artistic medium as a member of Scentient Society, an olfactive collective. Scents had a big impact on her life since she was a child, and her passion for discovering the world through her nose has never faded.

She now wishes to share her enthusiasm for this oftenoverlooked dimension of the sentient world with others.

Megi Malinowsky An architect by education with an MA diploma from the Gdańsk University of Technology. Co-founder of the Tabanda furniture brand with Tomek Kempa and Filip Ludka. The trio are college friends who are passionate about sports, nature, and adventure. These values have not changed since 2009. During her 12 years with the Tabanda team, she has designed distinctive and timeless products with a focus on nature, local values, and sustainable development. Tabanda’s products have been exhibited in Berlin, Paris, London, Milan, New York, and Tokyo, among other places.

She has been a lecturer at the School of Form since 2017. She works with students in the Domestic Design specialization, encouraging them to think abstractly, be creative, and be sensitive to and respectful of nature.

She is a co-founder and proud member of the Gdyniabased “Proto typy design studios”, which focuses on teaching crafts such as carpentry, ironwork, and ceramics.

She has been a land artist since 2020. She became involved in artistic endeavors as a result of the pandemic’s halt and a period of reflection. During Gdynia Design Days 2021, she created the land art installation “Solidarity in the Forest.”

‫یکــی از بنیانگــذاران برنــد مبلمــان تابانــدا بــا تومــک کمپــا و فیلیــپ لــودکا‪ .‬ایــن ســه نفــر دوســتان‬ ‫دانشــگاهی هســتند کــه عالقــه زیــادی بــه ورزش‪ ،‬طبیعــت و ماجراجویــی دارنــد‪ .‬ایــن ارزش‌هــا از ســال‬ ‫‪ ۲۰۰۹‬تغییــر نکرده‌انــد‪ .‬او در طــول ‪ ۱۲‬ســال حضــور خــود در تیــم تابانــدا‪ ،‬محصوالت متمایز و جاودانه‌ای‬ ‫را بــا تمرکــز بــر طبیعــت‪ ،‬ارزش‌هــای محلــی و توســعه پایــدار طراحــی کــرده اســت‪ .‬محصــوالت تابانــدا‬ ‫در برلیــن‪ ،‬پاریــس‪ ،‬لنــدن‪ ،‬میــان‪ ،‬نیویــورک و توکیــو و مناطــق دیگــر بــه نمایــش گذاشــته شــده‌اند‪.‬‬

‫او از ســال ‪ ۲۰۱۷‬در مدرســه فرم مدرس بوده اســت‪ .‬وی با دانشــجویان در تخصص طراحی داخلی کار‬ ‫می‌کنــد و آنهــا را بــه تفکــر انتزاعــی‪ ،‬خالقیــت‪ ،‬حســاس بــودن و احتــرام بــه طبیعــت تشــویق می‌کنــد‪.‬‬ ‫او یکــی از بنیانگــذاران و عضــو مفتخــر «اســتودیوهای طراحــی پروتوتایپــی» مســتقر در گدنیــا اســت کــه‬ ‫بــر آمــوزش صنایــع دســتی ماننــد نجــاری‪ ،‬آهنــکاری و ســرامیک تمرکــز دارد‪.‬‬

‫ایشــان از ســال ‪ ۲۰۲۰‬تبدیــل بــه یــک هنرمنــد زمینــی ]لنــد آرتیســت[ شــد‪ .‬فعالیــت هنــری او از زمانــی‬ ‫آغــاز شــد کــه بــه دلیــل بیمــاری همه‌گیــر‪ ،‬وقف ـه‌ای در کارهــا ایجــاد گشــت و او بــرای مدتــی بــه تفکــر و‬ ‫تامــل پرداخــت‪ .‬در طــول روزهــای طراحــی گدنیــا ‪ ،۲۰۲۱‬او لنــد آرتــی بــا عنــوان «همبســتگی در جنــگل» برپــا کــرد‪.‬‬ ‫موضوع‪« :‬تاباندا ‪ -‬داستان ما»‬

‫طراحــان و محققــان لهســتانی‬ ‫دکتــر یوآنــا یــورگا‬

‫طــراح محصــول و طــراح داخلــی‪ ،‬مبتکــر و مــدرس دانشــگاه‪ .‬متخصــص در زمینــه طراحــی امنیــت‪.‬‬ ‫مشــتاق بحــث در خصــوص مســائل مربــوط بــه حــوزۀ طراحــی نظــری و ترکیبــی‪ .‬فضانــورد آنالــوگ و دو‬ ‫بــار فرمانــده ماموریــت فضایــی در زیســتگاه لورانــس‪ .‬مربــی مدیتیشــن و عالقــه منــد بــه فضــای خــارج‬ ‫از جــو‪.‬‬

‫وی تحقیقاتــی را بــا همــکاری موسســه اینفیوچــر هاتالســکا فورســایت و موسســه کنتکســتاو پریســی‬ ‫انجــام داده اســت‪ .‬آثــار او در نمایشــگاه‌هایی در کشــور لهســتان و خــارج از کشــور شــناخته شــده‬ ‫اســت‪ .‬وی در چنــد جشــنوارۀ طراحــی (جشــنواره طراحــی ووچ‪ ،‬روزهــای طراحــی گدنیــا‪ ،‬هفتــه طراحــی‬ ‫هلنــدی) شــرکت کــرده اســت‪ .‬او بــه عنــوان فینالیســت در مســابقات میــک مــی‪ ،‬طــراح جــوان لهســتانی‪،‬‬ ‫آگهــی نــوآوری و مســابقات جوترونودهــا نیــز شــناخته می‌شــود‪.‬‬

‫یوســتینا پوچالسکا‬ ‫عالیــق تحقیقاتــی او عبارتنــد از‪ .۱ :‬هــوش جمعــی ‪ -‬چگونــه انســان‌ها و کامپیوترهــا می‌تواننــد‬ ‫بــه صــورت ارگانیــک بــا هــم همــکاری داشــته باشــند؟ ‪ .۲‬هــوش مصنوعــی و یادگیــری دســتگاه‬ ‫‪ .۳‬طراحــی عمــل و تئــوری تحقیــق‪ .۴ .‬مرزهــا در علــم‪ ،‬فنــاوری و هنــر ‪ -‬چگونــه می‌توانیــم از مقیاس‌هــای‬ ‫مکانــی و زمانــی فراتــر برویــم تــا آنچــه نادیدنــی اســت را در دســترس حــواس خــود قــرار دهیــم؟‬

‫تجربــۀ طراحــی او بــر اســاس پروژه‌هــای تحقیــق و توســعه فنالنــد بــا تمرکــز بــر ادغــام دانــش علمــی در‬ ‫تفکــر معمــاری و فرآینــد طراحــی اســت‪ .‬او فــارغ التحصیــل رشــتۀ طراحــی فضایــی و محصــول از دانشــگاه‬ ‫آلتــو‪ ،‬دانشــکده هنــر‪ ،‬طراحــی و معمــاری اســت و بــه عنــوان مدیــر پــروژه‪ ،‬توانایــی تیــم را بــرای پیشــرفت‬ ‫و دســتیابی بــه اهــداف خالقانــه تســهیل می‌کنــد‪ .‬وی بــه عنــوان اســتاد مدعــو‪ ،‬تحقیقــات طراحــی و‬ ‫معمــاری قانونــی را در اســتودیوی تابســتانی آر‪.‬ام‪.‬آی‪.‬تــی و دانشــگاه ای‪ .‬اس‪ .‬ای‪ .‬آر‪ .‬کیــو تدریــس کــرده اســت‪.‬‬

‫کامــا ویبیرالســکا‬

‫طراح نور و طراح محصول‪ ،‬موسس ‪Aureola.studio‬‬

‫او مــدرک کارشناســی خــود را در رشــتۀ طراحــی محصــول و ارتباطــات بصــری از آکادمــی هنرهــای زیبــا در‬ ‫ورشــو و کارشناســی ارشــد خــود را در رشــتۀ طراحــی نــور از پارســونز‪ ،‬مدرســۀ طراحــی جدیــد در نیویــورک‬ ‫دریافت کرد‪ .‬وی پس از فارغ التحصیلی در شرکت طراحی روشنایی‪L'Observatioire International‬‬ ‫در نیویــورک شــروع ب ـه‌کار کــرد‪ .‬او مهارت‌هــای خــود را در حیــن کار بــا معمارانــی ماننــد او‪.‬ام‪.‬ای (بــرج‬ ‫موری در توکیو)‪ ،‬دیلر اســکوفیدیو ‪ +‬رنفرو (ورودی مســابقه رودخانه روشــن)‪ ،‬ســیتریپ‪ -‬ویل و شــرکا‬ ‫(راکرفلــر ســنتر پــازا‪ ،‬نیویــورک) تقویــت کــرد‪ .‬در ســال ‪ ،۲۰۱۷‬وی بــه تیــم طراحــی ریچــارد مایــر الیتــز‬ ‫ملحــق شــد تــا روی مجموعــه وســایل نــوری پلیســز کار کنــد و در ســال ‪ ،۲۰۲۰‬کســب و کار خــود را در‬ ‫شــهر ورشــو‪ ،‬در لهســتان‪ ،‬تأســیس کــرد‪ Aureola.studio .‬بــا نــور در مقیاس‌هــای مختلــف کار می‌کنــد کــه شــامل نورپــردازی‬ ‫معمــاری و مناظــر در مقیــاس بــزرگ‪ ،‬موزه‌هــا‪ ،‬فضاهــای اداری‪ ،‬اقامتگاه‌هــای خصوصــی‪ ،‬صحنه‌نــگاری‪ ،‬نصب‌هــای نــور و نــور‬ ‫سفارشــی می‌باشــد‪ .‬او در حــال حاضــر مشــغول کار بــر روی دســتگاه نــور و خــط ســوژه اســت‪.‬‬

‫ماریــا پژیبیشچوســکا‬ ‫متولد ‪ .۱۹۸۴‬تحصیالت او در رشته عکاسی و شور و عالقه‌اش در آشپزی گیاهی است‪.‬‬

‫بــه جــز چنــد ماهــی کــه در دوره کارآمــوزی در نومــا در کپنهــاگ گذرانــد‪ ،‬او خودآمــوز اســت‪« .‬بــه نظــر مــن‪،‬‬ ‫خــوراک گیاهــی‪ ،‬روش آینــده اســت و راه بازگشــتی وجــود نــدارد‪ .‬در چنــد دهــۀ آینــده‪ ،‬مــردم متعجــب‬ ‫خواهنــد شــد کــه چگونــه هــر روز گوشــت مصــرف می‌کردنــد‪ .‬مــن معتقــدم کــه رونــد فعلــی کاهــش‬ ‫گوشــت در رژیــم غذایــی روزانــه در حــال افزایــش اســت و دلیلــی وجــود نــدارد کــه فکــر کنیــم ایــن تغییــر‬ ‫خواهــد کــرد‪».‬‬ ‫‪39‬‬

‫دربارۀ موسسه‬ ‫طراحی صنعتی‬ ‫طراحــی‪ ،‬نقــش مهمــی را در بــاال بــردن ســود رقابتــی یــک شــرکت ایفــا می کنــد زیــرا می‌توانــد آن شــرکت را باالتــر از زنجیــرۀ ارزش‬ ‫قــرار دهــد‪ .‬بنابرایــن‪ ،‬هــدف ایــن موسســه‪ ،‬ترویــج کاربــرد موثــر طراحــی توســط مشــاغل لهســتانی و بخــش عمومــی بــه منظــور‬ ‫کمــک بــه تقویــت همــه جانبــۀ اقتصــاد ملــی اســت‪.‬‬ ‫بــه همیــن منظــور‪ ،‬ایــن موسســه بــه عنــوان مشــاور راهبــردی در زمینــۀ طراحــی صنعتــی فعالیــت می کنــد‪ .‬مــا مشــاوره و آمــوزش‬ ‫را بــه مشــاغل همــه بخش هــا و موسســات و دولــت هــای محلــی ارائــه می دهیــم‪ .‬مشــتریان اصلــی مــا شــامل بزرگ تریــن‬ ‫شــرکت های لهســتانی و کســب وکارهای متوســط می باشــند کــه بــه دنبــال بهبــود موقعیــت بــازار ِ خــود از طریــق نــوآوری و‬ ‫کاربــرد طراحــی هســتند‪ .‬مــا کســب وکارها را بــا بهتریــن متخصصــان مرتبــط می ســازیم تــا بتواننــد قابلیت هــای جدیــدی را بــه‬ ‫دســت آورنــد و محصــوالت و خدمــات پیشــرفته ارائــه دهنــد‪.‬‬ ‫نزدیــک بــه هفــت دهــه اســت کــه مــا در بــازار حضــور داریــم و در ارتقــای طراحــی‪ ،‬مدیریــت طراحــی و توســعه محصــول جدیــد‬ ‫مجــرب می باشــیم‪ .‬مــا تنهــا مؤسســه لهســتان بــا تخصیــص یــک واحــد تحقیقاتــی وعلمــی هســتیم و در زمینــه هــای طراحــی و‬ ‫ارگونومــی پروژه هــای تحقیقــی و توســعه ای انجــام مــی دهیــم‪.‬‬ ‫مــا همچنیــن آمــوزش مدیــران محصــول و طراحــان را بــر عهــده داریــم‪ .‬مــا بــا همــکاری دانشــگاه بازرگانــی ورشــو‪ ،‬مطالعــات‬ ‫کارشناســی ارشــد مدیریــت طراحــی را بــرای مدیــران راه انــدازی کــرده ایــم‪.‬‬ ‫مــا از طریــق نمایشــگاه‌ها و مســابقاتی ماننــد «‪( »Dobry Wzór‬طراحــی خــوب) و رویــداد طراحــی جــوان‪ ،‬نــوآوری و شــیوه‌های‬ ‫طراحــی خــوب را ترویــج می‌کنیــم‪.‬‬

‫ایجاد حس امنیت‬ ‫در محیط‬ ‫دکتــر یوآنــا یورگا‬ ‫جلــب توجــه طراحــان جــوان بــه طراحــی ســینتتِیک‪ ،‬کــه مربــوط بــه اســتفاده از حــواس انســان بــرای درک یــک فضــا یــا شــیئی‬ ‫ـناختی بصــری می شــود بلکــه باعــث ایجــاد‬ ‫معیــن اســت‪ ،‬اهمیــت بســیاری دارد؛ زیــرا نــه تنهــا منجــر بــه طراحی هــای زیبایــی شـ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫طرح هایــی می گــردد کــه بــرای حــواس المســه‪ ،‬شــنوایی و چشــایی نیــز دلپذیــر هســتند‪.‬این نــوع طراحــی در دنیــای امــروز کــه‬ ‫ـی پی در پــی و بازتعریــف مــداوم واقعیت هــا همــراه اســت‪ ،‬از اهمیــت باالیــی برخــوردار اســت‪ .‬طراحــی ای کــه‬ ‫بــا انــزوای اجتماعـ ِ‬ ‫ادراک حســی مــا از محیــط اطــراف را در نظــر می گیــرد‪ ،‬نوعــی حــس آســایش را در اختیــار کاربــر قــرار می دهــد؛ زیــرا تمــام حواســی‬ ‫را کــه او بــرای درک یــک فضــا یــا شــیئی خــاص بــکار می بــرد را بــا هــم هماهنــگ می ســازد‪ .‬خنثــی ســازی فضاهــای داخلــی‪،‬‬ ‫افزایــش فردگرایــی در جامعــه‪ ،‬ســرعت پرشــتاب زندگــی مــا‪ ،‬انتقــال میــزان بیشــتری از تجربیــات و روابــط مــا بــه واقعیــت مجــازی‬ ‫و همچنیــن تحــوالت فــن آورانــه منجــر بــه ناپدیــد شــدن تجربیــات حســی و اســتفاده ی نابرابــر از حــواس پنجگانــه شــده اســت‪.‬‬ ‫انتظــار مــی رود کــه محیــط پیرامــون مــا برایمــان حــس امنیــت فیزیکــی فراهــم کنــد‪ .‬مــا پیوســته در حــال آمــوزش دیــدن‪ ،‬تحــت‬ ‫نظــارت و بررســی قرارگرفتــن و دریافــت هشــدار در خصــوص انــواع خطراتــی هســتیم کــه ناشــی از بهــره گیــری از فضــا و محیــط‬ ‫مشــترک بــا یکدیگــر اســت‪ .‬مــا آن ظرافتــی کــه در ادراک حــواس پنجگانــه نهفتــه اســت را بــا افزایــش ایــن کنترل هــا از دســت‬ ‫داده ایــم‪ .‬ایــن امنیــت فیزیکــی ای کــه بــرای مــا فراهــم شــده اســت‪ ،‬از لحــاظ روحــی و روانــی منجــر بــه ایجــاد ناراحتــی و تــرس‬ ‫گشــته اســت‪ .‬خــوب اســت بــه خاطــر داشــته باشــیم کــه هــر یــک از حس هــای انســان بــه گونــه ی خــاص خــود عمــل کــرده و‬ ‫اطالعــات متفاوتــی را در اختیــار مغــز مــا قــرار می دهــد‪ .‬برخــی از حــواس بــه صــورت غیــر ارادی عمــل می کننــد (ماننــد شــنیدن)‪.‬‬ ‫مــا از طریــق بویایــی شــریک زندگــی خــود را انتخــاب می کنیــم؛ بــه لطــف بینایــی می توانیــم در یــک فضــای مشــخص حرکــت‬ ‫داشــته باشــیم؛ حــس المســه بــه مــا آرامــش می بخشــد؛ و حــس چشــایی برایمــان لــذت بخــش اســت‪ .‬برخــی از حــواس‬ ‫(بینایــی) بیشــتر از بقیــه در دنیــای توســعه یافتــه ی امــروز مــورد توجــه و ســتایش قرارگرفته انــد‪ .‬در حالــی کــه برخــی دیگــر‬ ‫مدت هاســت فرامــوش شــده اند (بویایــی)‪ .‬ولــی بــا ایــن وجــود‪ ،‬ایــن هماهنگــی و عملکــرد یکپارچــه ی تمــام حــواس پنجگانــه‬ ‫اســت کــه بــرای مــا احســاس آرامــش و امنیــت درونــی بــه ارمغــان مــی آورد‪.‬‬ ‫زندگــی در انــزوا‪ ،‬کــه قبــل از ایــن یــک احتمــال دور از ذهــن بــه نظــر می رســید و فقــط مربــوط بــه گــروه محــدودی از فضانــوردان‪،‬‬ ‫کاشــفان قطــب و محققــان می شــد‪ ،‬حــاال بــه بخشــی از واقعیــت روزمــره مــا تبدیــل شــده اســت‪ .‬در طــی دو ســال گذشــته‪ ،‬مــا‬ ‫طیــف گســترده ای از تجربیاتــی کســب کرده ایــم کــه بــه نیازهــا و ترس هایمــان مربــوط می شــود‪ .‬بــه همیــن دلیــل اســت کــه‬ ‫ـی لهســتانی ‪ 2021‬به اولویت‬ ‫آمـ‬ ‫ـوزش حــس همــدردی و بررســی و مشــاهده کــردن بــه جوانــان در طــول مدرســه ی تابســتانی طراحـ ِ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫شــماره یــک تبدیــل شــده اســت تــا اطمینــان حاصــل گــردد کــه جوانــان می تواننــد ازطریــق طراحــی راه حل هایــی ارائــه دهنــد‬ ‫کــه منعکــس کننــده مســائل روز باشــد‪ .‬به عنــوان بخشــی از ســخنرانی هایمان بــرای دانشــگاه تهــران‪ ،‬مــا در خصــوص حــواس‬ ‫بنیادیــن انســان‪ ،‬نیازهــا و تجربــه‪ ‬ی مشــترک از ایــن بیمــاری فراگیــر بــه بحــث و گفتگــو پرداختیــم‪ .‬دانشــجویان بــا اســتفاده از‬ ‫دانــش و تجربیاتــی کــه بدســت آوردنــد‪ ،‬اشــیاء چندحســی خلــق کردنــد کــه می تواننــد بــه عملکــرد روزانــه ی مــا آرامــش بخشــند‬ ‫و از آن حمایــت کننــد‪ .‬نتایــج حاصــل از ایــن پروژه هــا‪ ،‬دلنشــین و دقیــق بــوده و بــا احساســات‪ ،‬روابــط خانوادگــی و نیــاز بــه‬ ‫صمیمیــت مرتبــط بودنــد‪ .‬همگــی آن هــا بــا توجــه بــه نیازهــای واقعــی و بــا در نظــر گرفتــن گــروه هــدف‪ ،‬کابــرد و کارکــرد ویــژه‬ ‫ایجــاد شــدند تــا بــه مــا کمــک کننــد در فضاهــای کوچــک احســاس امنیــت و راحتــی داشــته باشــیم‪ .‬ایده هــای نهایــی جهــت‬ ‫مراقبــت از حــواس انســان طراحــی شــدند و بــه همیــن دلیــل در میــان هــرج و مــرج ایــن زمانــه و وجــود بیــش از حــد محرک هــا‬ ‫از اهمیــت باالیــی برخــوردار هســتند‪.‬‬ ‫مــن اطمینــان دارم کــه هــم مدرســین و هــم طراحــان یــا محققیــن می بایســت هــر کاری کــه در تــوان دارنــد انجــام دهنــد تــا‬ ‫امــکان دسترســی آســان بــه علــم و دانــش در زمینــه ی عوامــل ســازنده ی احســاس امنیــت‪ ،‬ســازوکار بــدن انســان و آنچــه کــه‬ ‫برایــش مفیــد و یــا مضــر اســت‪ ،‬بــرای همــه فراهــم شــود‪ .‬بــه ایــن ترتیــب نســل های جدیــد بــه راحتــی می تواننــد نــه فقــط‬ ‫اشــیاء زیبــا بلکــه محیط هــای دوســت دار انســان را نیــز طراحــی کننــد؛ محیطــی کــه می‌توانیــم در آن رشــد کــرده و اختــراع کنیــم‪،‬‬ ‫نــه اینکــه صرفــا ً بــرای بقــاء بجنگیــم‪.‬‬

‫بنگرند و توجه بیشتری به اهمیت نقش کلیدی حواس انسانی در ادراک انسان از جهان داشته‬ ‫باشند‪ .‬هر پروژه ارائه شده و منتخب در این برنامه از زاویه منحصر بفردی رابطه حواس انسانی‬ ‫و وضعیــت پاندمــی را مــورد بررســی قــرار داده اســت‪ .‬از بیســت و چهــار پــروژه ارائــه شــده توســط‬ ‫دانشــجویان‪ ،‬مجموعــا ده پــروژه منتخــب جهــت مدلســازی اولیــه‪ ،‬ســاخت و نمایش در نمایشــگاه‬ ‫بــه مرحلــه نهایــی راه یافتنــد کــه در ایــن کاتالــوگ بــه نمایــش گذاشــته شــده انــد‪ .‬در ایــن پــروژه ها‬ ‫مــی تــوان چگونگــی نــگاه طراحانــه و تحلیلــی دانشــجویان بــرای ارائــه راهــکاری در مواجهــه بــا ایــن‬ ‫چالــش را ردیابــی کــرد‪ ،‬مســیری کــه بعــد جدیــدی را در خالقیــت آنهــا بــرای حــل مســاله نشــان‬ ‫می‌دهــد‪.‬‬ ‫باعــث افتخــار و مســرت مــن بــود کــه ایــن همــکاری موفــق را بــا ســفارت جمهــوری لهســتان‬ ‫در ایــران بــرای دومیــن ســال پیاپــی تکــرار کنــم و بــر خــود الزم مــی دانــم از حمایــت بــی دریــغ‬ ‫ســفارت لهســتان در ایــران و حضــور گــرم همــکاران لهســتانی و انتقــال تجربیــات ارزشمندشــان در‬ ‫چالش‌هــای کنونــی دیزایــن و همراهــی بــا نســل جــوان طراحــان کــه جامعــه را تحــت تاثیــر تفکــرات‬ ‫خــود قــرار مــی دهنــد تشــکر ویــژه داشــته باشــم‪ .‬آرزو دارم کــه ایــن تجربــه شــیرین در ســال‌های‬ ‫آتــی نیــز تکــرار گــردد‪.‬‬

‫بــا توجــه بــه ســوابقی کــه در زمینــه مهندســی بهداشــت حرفــه ای داشــته ام‪ ،‬چندیــن ســال اســت‬ ‫کــه در پروژه‌هــای تحقیقاتــی و آموزشــی مشــترک بــا دانشــکده طراحــی صنعتــی دانشــگاه هنرهــای‬ ‫آمــوزش کاربــرد ارگونومــی در‬ ‫زیبــای دانشــگاه تهــران مشــغول هســتم‪ .‬در ایــن چارچــوب‪ ،‬مــا‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫طراحــی صنعتــی را بــرای دانشــجویان کارشناســی‪ ،‬کارشناســی ارشــد و دکتــری ارائــه کردیــم‪ .‬آنهــا‬ ‫راهنمایــی و پشــتیبانی الزم جهــت انجــام مطالعــات جامــع و کامــل در زمینــه بکارگیــری ارگونومــی‬ ‫در پروژه‌هــای خــود را دریافــت کردنــد‪ .‬ایــن رویکــرد جدیــد دیدگاه‌هــای نوآورانــه ای را در اختیــار‬ ‫محققــان و دانشــجویان قــرار داد‪.‬‬ ‫«مدرســۀ تابســتانی طراحــی لهســتانی» کــه در پایــان تــرم بهــار ‪ 2021‬توســط ســفارت لهســتان در‬ ‫ایــران و بــا حضــور اســاتید مؤسســه طراحــی صنعتــی لهســتان برگــزار شــد‪ ،‬کمــک علمــی ارزشــمندی‬ ‫در ایــن خصــوص ارائــه کــرد‪ .‬در نتیجــۀ مســابقۀ طراحـی‌ای کــه در طــول مدرســۀ تابســتانی برگــزار‬ ‫شــد‪ ،‬ده نمونــۀ جالــب بــرای تولیــد برگزیــده شــدند‪.‬‬ ‫ضمــن ابــراز خرســندی بابــت مشــارکت در ایــن برنامــۀ مشــترک‪ ،‬امیــدوارم برنامه‌هــای مشــابهی‬ ‫نیــز در آینــده داشــته باشــیم‪.‬‬ ‫‪42‬‬

‫پاندمــی جهانــی کوویــد‪ ،‬اقامــت در فضــای خانــه هایمــان را طوالنــی تــر از معمــول ســاخت و در‬ ‫نتیجــه حــس تنهایــی زیــادی بــرای افــراد ایجــاد شــد‪ .‬ایــن دوری باعــث شــد کــه همــه مــا تــاش‬ ‫بیشــتری از خــود نشــان دهیــم تــا بــا خانــواده‪ ،‬دوســتان و افــراد دیگــر در ارتبــاط باقــی بمانیــم و‬ ‫بــه دنبــال راه هــای جدیــدی باشــیم تــا ذهــن و جســممان همچنــان فعــال باقــی بمانــد‪ .‬هنگامــی‬ ‫کــه مــا از نظــر فیزیکــی از دوســتان‪ ،‬اعضــای خانــواده و دیگــر عزیزانمــان دور هســتیم هیــچ چیــزی‬ ‫بیشــتر از تقویــت و نگهــداری ارتباطــات اجتماعــی دارای اهمیــت نیســت‪ .‬ارتباطــات اجتماعــی‬ ‫فرصتــی بــرای جســتجو و بــه اشــتراک گــذاری حمایــت‪ ،‬صحبــت از احساســات پیچیــده‪ ،‬لبخنــدی‬ ‫را بــر لبــی نشــاندن‪ ،‬هــر لحظــه بــا عزیــزان بــودن و کمــک بــه یکدیگــر اســت‪ .‬چنیــن قرنطینــه‬ ‫طوالنــی کــه همگــی آن را بــه گونــه ای تجربــه کردیــم بیــش از آنچــه تصــور مــی کردیــم بــار ذهنــی‬ ‫و جســمی بــا خــود بــه همــراه داشــته اســت‪ .‬علیرغــم اینکــه فاصلــه گــذاری اجتماعــی و قرنطینــه‬ ‫انفــرادی راهــی بــرای کاهــش تســری ویــروس بــه دیگــران اســت‪ ،‬جدایــی فیزیکــی نیــز مــی توانــد‬ ‫چالــش هــای احساســی نظیــر تــرس و تنهایــی را چندبرابــر کنــد‪ .‬تفکــر در خصــوص راه هــای ایجــاد‬ ‫ارتبــاط و اتصــال افــراد بــه یکدیگــر بــرای طراحــان جــوان موضوعــی معنــادار اســت‪ .‬یکــی از ایــن‬ ‫راه‌هــا‪ ،‬تقویــت حــواس انســانی بــرای درک زندگــی بــه شــکلی متفــاوت خواهــد بــود‪.‬‬ ‫بــا هــدف خلــق محصــوالت‪ ،‬خدمــات یــا محیط‌هایــی کــه بــه افــراد کمــک کننــد تــا در زمــان قرنطینــه‬ ‫با یکدیگر باشــند‪ ،‬با یکدیگرارتباط برقرار کنند و حس خوبی داشــته باشــند‪ ،‬مدرســه تابســتانی‬ ‫طراحــی لهســتان بــه صــورت آنالیــن درگــروه طراحــی صنعتــی دانشــگاه تهــران بــا حمایــت ســفارت‬ ‫جمهــوری لهســتان در ایــران و انســتیتو طراحــی صنعتــی لهســتان ورشــو برگــزار گردیــد‪ .‬پیــرو‬ ‫ســخنرانی‌های ارائــه شــده بــا محوریــت حــواس انســانی و اهمیــت نقــش آنهــا در دیزایــن‪ ،‬از‬ ‫دانشــجویان شــرکت کننــده خواســته شــد تــا راهکارهــای تجربــه احساســی را بــرای افــراد در زمــان‬ ‫قرنطینــه پیشــنهاد دهنــد کــه بــه ارتبــاط بهتــر و بیشــتر آنهــا بیانجامــد‪ .‬ایــن برنامــه در ادامــه پروژه‬ ‫طراحــی ارگونومیــک بــا تمرکــز بــر طراحــی بــرای ســامت بــرای دانشــجویان مقطــع کارشناســی و‬ ‫پــروژه طراحــی و خلــق ایــده بــا تمرکــز بــر خانــه در عصــر کوویــد بــرای دانشــجویان مقطــع کارشناســی‬ ‫ارشــد طراحــی صنعتــی تعریــف گردیــد‪.‬‬ ‫کلیه ســخنرانی های الهام بخشــی که توســط پژوهشــگران و طراحان لهســتانی ارائه شــد افق‌های‬ ‫جدیدی از تعمق و تفکر را برای دانشجویان جوان گشود تا محیط پیرامون خود را از منظری دیگر‬ ‫‪43‬‬

‫سخن نخست‬ ‫«محصوالتی با طراحی خوب تا مطابق با علم باشند‪».‬‬ ‫«تاریخچۀ طراحی» سردبیر‪ ،‬الیزابت ویلهاید‬

‫ایــن کتابچــه حاصــل مدرســه تابســتانی طراحــی لهســتان در ســال ‪ ۲۰۲۱‬اســت کــه بــه طــور خــاص بــه‬ ‫دانشــجویان طراحــی صنعتــی دانشــگاه تهــران اختصــاص داشــت‪ .‬مدرســه تابســتانی طراحــی لهســتان‬ ‫بــا همــکاری ســفارت لهســتان در تهــران‪ ،‬مؤسســۀ طراحــی صنعتــی در ورشــو و گــروه طراحــی صنعتــی‬ ‫در دانشــکده هنرهــای زیبــای دانشــگاه تهــران برگــزار شــد‪ .‬ایــن مدرســه مجموعــه ای از وبینارهــا را در‬ ‫اختیــار طراحــان ومحققــان لهســتانی قــرار داد تــا درخصــوص موضوعاتــی ماننــد طراحــی ســینتتیک‪،‬‬ ‫معمــاری وعلــم اعصــاب گفتگــو کننــد‪ .‬همچنیــن در ایــن ســخنرانی ها بــه موضــوع حــواس پنجگانــه ی‬ ‫انســان و نقــش آن هــا در طراحــی و چگونگــی تأثیــر آن هــا بــر برداشــت ذهنــی و فهــم محیــط اطــراف‬ ‫و همچنیــن درک اشــیاء و فضاهــا پرداختــه شــد‪ .‬در مجموعــه ی دیگــری از ســخنرانی های آنالیــن در‬ ‫دانشــگاه تهــران بــا عنــوان «وبینارهــای فن آورانــه و مبتنــی برطراحــی» نحــوۀ پاســخ بــه ســبک زندگــی‬ ‫مصــرف کننــده و راه حل هــای پایــدار و مرتبــط بــا آن و اصــول طراحــی مبلمــان مــورد بحــث و گفتگــو‬ ‫قــرار گرفــت‪.‬‬ ‫ایــن رویکــرد بــه تــازه تریــن رونــد طراحــی پایبنــد اســت و بــه چالــش هــای دوران همــه گیــری نیــز‬ ‫می‌پــردازد‪ .‬شــیوۀ زندگــی و کار مــا در دو ســال اخیــر بــه طــور چشــمگیری تغییــر یافتــه اســت‪ .‬بنابرایــن‪،‬‬ ‫اطــراف یــک فــرد در خانــه و درمحــل کار مجــددا تحــت بازبینــی و‬ ‫الزم اســت کــه طراحــی محیــط‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫مفهــوم ســازی قــرار گیــرد‪ .‬یــک مثــال ســاده ایــن اســت کــه مــا بــه دنبــال مبلمانــی باشــیم کــه بتوانیــم بــا‬ ‫کمــک آن بخشــی از فضــای زندگــی خــود را بــه دفتــرکار تبدیــل کنیــم‪ .‬مثــال دیگــر بــه ارتباطــات مربــوط‬ ‫می‌شــود ‪ -‬یعنــی بــه دنبــال راه حل هایــی باشــیم کــه گسســتگی های اجتماعــی ناشــی از تحــرک‬ ‫محــدود تحمیلــی را جبــران کننــد؛ بــه عبــارت دیگــر‪ ،‬نوعــی طراحــی کــه احســاس در ارتبــاط بــودن را در‬ ‫یــک بســتر محیطــی و فرهنگــی مشــخص منتقــل ســازد‪.‬‬ ‫بــر ایــن اســاس‪ ،‬دانشــجویان دانشــگاه تهــران موظــف شــدند‪ ،‬محصوالتــی طراحــی کننــد کــه اثــرات‬ ‫منفــی فاصلــه گــذاری اجتماعــی و محدودیت هــا بــر ســامت ذهــن را کاهــش دهنــد‪ .‬نتیجــۀ ایده های‬ ‫دانشــجویان کــه در واقــع ترکیبــی شــگفت انگیــز از شــور و اشــتیاق‪ ،‬دانــش و تخیــل هســتند در ایــن‬ ‫کتابچــه ارائــه داده شــده اســت‪.‬‬ ‫ماچی فائوکوفسکی‬ ‫سفیر لهستان در ایران‬ ‫‪45‬‬
