Welcome remarks

I

n a joint academic project, young Iranian designers set out on a quest to showcase the richness of two cultures in a new way. Abundant in motives, colors and ―above all― symbolism, Polish and Iranian art provided much of the inspiration, while upto-date technology allowed them to create original works of applied art― design-intensive, high-end furniture.

While keeping up with modern trends, the designers aimed to revive the cultural heritage of both Iran and Poland by synthesizing elements of different esthetics. The rediscovery of so many commonalities like cultural symbols, narrative themes and specific sensitivities produced a surprisingly harmonious and innovatory blend that was translated into practical forms.

The students struggled not only with ideas and materials, but also with the pandemic situation which interfered with the learning process, inhibiting their access to knowledge and interactions with their tutors. Despite the headwinds the project has been successfully finalized. We are all the more pleased to invite you to appreciate its fascinating results.

Iran and Poland’s Culture and the Necessity of Using Native and Traditional Art to Create Eternal Works of Art

was honored to meet the esteemed Ambassador of Poland and his culture-loving spouse at the Iran Mall. Their fascination with Iranian noble art represents the nobility of good Polish people as well as their cultural-artistic roots. This meeting brought the past cultural relations between Iran and Poland to my mind. It was in the Doulab Cemetery, where I came across the resting place of Polish intellectuals, artists, and warriors, who used to reside in Iran. There I realized the important emotional bonds they have with this land and that they are historically rooted in our country.

Our relations and cultural interactions have a long history. A letter was written by the Aq Qoyunlu ruler Uzun Hasan to King Casimir IV of the Jagiellon dynasty in the 15th century; and it made me think of the bravery, gallantry, and commandership of Abbas Mirza, his corps, and Izydor Borowski who fought alongside him so valiantly in favor of the Iranians. There is also a Polish commemorative postage stamp on which it was written “Isfahan - the City of Polish Children.” There are tens of other examples that can show our good relations.

During the second World War, when Poles were exposed to danger, we Iranians welcomed them properly, became a good refuge for them, and received them in a brotherly manner. The good people of Poland did their best for the sake of Iran’s industrial boom. Some of those people provided human societies with good services, and a pleasant emotional connection was built between the Iranians and the Poles. The companionship between the two

countries and the artistic and cultural exchanges led to the creation of deep cultural-artistic connections in all fields and we learned from each other’s artistic resources.

One of the cultural-artistic factors, which is fundamentally necessary, is a return to originality, art, identity, and simple and pleasant attractions that would result in a glorious return to those good old days. Sometimes a wooden table or a cup of tea beside a copper samovar, or the light that passes through the stained glass of the doors and windows of grandmothers’ houses would lead us to think fondly of the past and they would fill our souls with joy.

Nowadays, houses would be more pleasant if they were decorated with handmade cushions, old copper samovars and utensils, as well as traditional rugs, beds, and furniture that are designed with carpet art, wood, and girih tiling patterns. In a house where local materials are used, there would be an overflow of a unique sense of the entire environment and individuals would have more peace.

It was at a Farahan Ta’zieh performance where I first came across the word “Polish chair.” I realized this chair’s simple, beautiful, and artistic construction style. And later, I found out that some Polish immigrant artists and craftsmen taught their Iranian counterparts how to use steam to bend wood and make Thonet-designed chairs. This type of chair, which induces a sense of simple and friendly environment, has gained numerous fans in Iran, especially in the coffee shops; therefore Iranians have been able to relate to this furniture. It is hoped that the

artists in this exhibition will be able to use the Iranian traditional-local materials as well as new designs to create integrated art styles while focusing on the techniques learned from the Polish artists. Actually such innovations can attract the attention of numerous enthusiasts in many societies.

Paying attention to color and its effects on the soul and psyche is considered a necessity. By employing traditional, local color patterns in contemporary home interior designs, we ensure the improvement of psychological health and the vitality of the society.

A kind of furniture that is built based on nostalgic designs, Iran’s art industry, and Iranian and Polish traditional hand-made crafts would result in an everlasting and effective work of art. In fact, it can be said that an original art is an art that dwells among the people in a society and is alive; an art whose presence among the people is felt; and whose existence is palpable in all aspects of life. The integration of the Iranian and Polish arts would have such attributes. We can observe the evolution and creation of eternal works of art through using the Polish and Iranian native-local art and culture, and becoming inspired by the cultural-artistic relations of previous eras.

Introduction to the Project

T

alking about culture has no limits. When we approach the notion of culture, we touch on a vast subject which has its sensibilities and its strengths. In the Industrial Design Department at the University of Tehran, we always try to create a kind of awareness on cultural topics to bring students closer to anything that they feel is forgotten or being transformed in our modern society and around the world. These topics are not necessarily routine. This furniture design project, inspired by Iranian and Polish culture, is a part of the cross-cultural topics that we carried out during the last semester.

I remember very well October 2, 2019, the day I met Irena Kolakowska at the University of Tehran. She told us about a possible cooperation between the Embassy of Poland and the Design Department at the University of Tehran. We organized several

meetings within the University and with Behman Company (our official partner) to schedule an international event between students from both countries and the invited lecturers, but also with cultural centers in Poland These meetings progressed until February 2020, when the whole world encountered Covid-19. This disease had all possible effects on our operational and academic approaches. The presence of students was reduced and the social distancing rules ensured that the meetings around this project went into virtual mode. Our planned international exchange program was canceled and we had to think differently about this interesting project. We could neither program a new time schedule nor have our students by our side to lead them on this new path. We therefore decided to rethink our approach. Everything was set to

zero and with new conditions, we thought about the design of this exhibition.

All students were invited to choose a tangible or intangible element in the cultural heritage of the two countries. This step was a very important starting point for all of us because the Polish culture was a little misunderstood by the majority of the students, but the enthusiasm was strong. Some of them even became immersed in the Polish stories and myths through the literature and other possible fields of research. They have analysed videos, texts, artistic works, monuments, tales and other Polish cultural heritage to extract elements that could then inspire a furniture but also be linked to some phenomena in Iranian culture.

We only had the internet to advance lessons and correct

student work every week, which has had its pros and cons. The advantage was that we were able to communicate with all the students at the same time and share the necessary information with them.

The disadvantage that those from outside Tehran could not enjoy learning digital manufacturing necessary for the production phase.

But despite all these conditions, we felt a team spirit among our students and mutual support to move the projects forward.

This project has been divided in four main phases: theoretical and practical research of elements in Iranian and Polish cultural heritage; adaptation of these elements so that they can be applied in the design of furniture for a chosen place; translating ideas from these elements into sketches and finally 3D modeling and preparing digital presentation of the final product.

Each project has been conceived on an element, a history, a monument, a craft technique or a trace belonging to the culture of each country. Using semiotic approach, we analyzed each object or story chosen by the students and transformed it into furniture design. A natural or intentional evolution offers a new reality evoking different emotions than the original object. A final furniture serves as a medium between each cultural element and an interior for which the item has been designed.

To briefly describe the outcomes of the project, I start with Mohamadjavad's design inspired by the architectural motifs of a minaret in the town of Golpayegan. He transformed the motifs into a structure of a piece of furniture styling it after Polish chairs and attaching a historic regional 8

carpet for the seat and backrest. This chair not only presents a historically important cultural object which is the Persian carpet, but it also illustrates a transformation from an architectural motif into a complex form of design.

We have the work of Aida inspired by the Kurdish vest, symbolic due to its shape and material. A vest is also a common element among garments of both Iranian and Polish people. This chair design is the result of a reflection on both structure and material and is situated at the crossroads of two cultures.

Alireza worked on the porcelain figures of a Polish artist and based on their fluid forms, he conceptualized a two-person piece of furniture,

that gives an impression of being suspended in the air. These lines that dance in space create a comfortable seat to envelop the body.

Aminhossein’s work is a combination of mathematics and design. The famous Iranian Korsi takes us back in time and the Polish bentwood is used to create a Fibonaccian shape.

This multifunctional object can be both a coffee table and a table to gather around, like a Korsi.

Taha is inspired by a river and its lines flowing through Iranian mountains.

His concept was to design a lounge chair for a rest near the water or a swimming pool. We see an intentional

meeting between two specific materials of wood and Iranian artisanal technique called MakramÊ Bâfi, which makes this chair even more pleasant to look at and to use.

Faranak and Shahrzad each chose a historical monument in northern Iran and tried to imagine furniture for this historic house. Faranak imagined a bench-bed that can be adapted to small spaces and Shahrzad worked on the creation of a chair that brings together Iranian architectural motifs on one side and themes from old Polish textiles on the other.

The two projects are applying old knowledge, particularly that of textile weaving.

Farzaneh was interested in the history of the presence of Poles in Iran during the Second World War, mainly Polish children in Isfahan. Inspired by a traditional Polish game she designed a chair for homes that care for orphaned children.

Polish tales and myths particularly drew Ghazaleh's attention.

She took the Warsaw mermaid story and from this element the lounge chair was born that reminds us of this imaginary creature, thanks to the technique of bentwood and a transparent material between the fluid lines.

Kiana was inspired by a motif in Iranian architecture and combined it with the technique of bentwood

to end up with a multifunctional bench for Iranian SofrehKhânehs or traditional restaurants. An Iranian-Polish spirit is present in this furniture.

Zeinab's work is particularly interesting. She comes from southern Iran, where culture is abundant in resonating elements. The sea and the song of the fishermen inspired her to create a chair that employs both the technique of woodworking and the texture of a fishing net.

In the course of the project, three more students prepared promising works, though these were not fully accomplished and are not shown in the exhibition.

A flexible bookshelf for children's stories created by Kosar, Nasim's

rotating chair and Payam's Soofiinspired chair were also inspired by the culture of the two countries.

We have had a special experience over the past few months.

Each student has submitted a research dossier containing many sketches and the best ideas were chosen by Behman company for manufacturing. The collaboration with a furniture producing company presents a strong potential for

marketing of the products. Culture is the engine of creation in itself. But when one goes through and blends different cultures and this richness is multiplied. At this point in time, we need to be closer to each other in the world to feed on the flavor which is the culture of the other.

‫این پروژه توسط سفارت جمهوری لهستان در ایران‪ ،‬دانشگاه تهران و گروه طراحی بهمان انجام شده است‪.‬‬ ‫هزینه ی برپایی این نمایشگاه توسط سفارت جمهوری لهستان و گروه طراحی بهمان تأمین شده است‪.‬‬

‫پروژه زینب تعلق ویژه ای به فرهنگ جنوب ایران دارد و غنای فرهنگی‬ ‫این منطقه منبع الهام او شده است‪ .‬دریا و آوازهای ماهی گیران‪ ،‬او را‬ ‫در خلق ایده طراحی مبلمان یاری رساند و صندلی رباعیات را مبتنی‬ ‫بر تکنیک ساختی جدید که به تغییر شکل چوب منجر شده و بافتی از‬ ‫تورهای ماهیگیری دارد‪ ،‬ارائه کرده است‪.‬‬ ‫سه پروژه دیگر نیز در چهارچوب این برنامه انجام شده که در نمایشگاه دیده نمی‌شوند‬ ‫ولی به نوبه خود پتانسیل باالیی برای توسعه بیشتر دارند‪ .‬پروژه قفسه کتاب انعطاف پذیر‬ ‫برای کودکان که توسط کوثر با الهام از فرم بدن اژدهای افسانه ای لهستان ارائه شد‪ ،‬پروژه‬ ‫صندلی خمیده نسیم و پروژه صندلی الهام گرفته از فرهنگ صوفی ارائه شده توسط پیام‬ ‫حامل پیام های فرهنگی هستند که نگاهی جدید را روی فرهنگ هر دو کشور ارائه کرده اند‪.‬‬ ‫ما همگی تجربه ای ویژه را در ماه های اخیر گذارندیم‪ .‬هر دانشجو مستندات تحقیقاتی‬ ‫و ایده های طراحی متعددی را ارائه کرد و بهترین ایده ها برای نمایش در نمایشگاه‬ ‫و ساخت توسط مجموعه بهمان برگزیده شدند‪ .‬ساخت مبلمان های منتخب به شیوه‬ ‫دیجیتال‪ ،‬قابلیت تجاری سازی طرح های حاضر را بیش از پیش به نمایش می گذارد‪ .‬ما‬ ‫همچنان ادعا داریم که فرهنگ موتور خالقیتی منحصر به فرد است و هنگامی که تالقی‬ ‫دو یا تعداد بیشتری از فرهنگ ها مطرح می شود‪ ،‬این غنا چند برابر می گردد‪ .‬دنیای ما‬ ‫بخصوص در شرایط کنونی‪ ،‬نیازمند نزدیکی فرهنگ ها و بهره مندی از این غذای غنی است‪.‬‬ ‫چشم ها را باید شست‪ ...‬جور دیگر باید دید (سهراب سپهری‪ ،‬شاعر ایرانی)‪.‬‬ ‫آبان ‪۹۹‬‬

‫فرانک و شهرزاد هر دو بنایی تاریخی در شمال ایران را انتخاب‬ ‫کردند و به طراحی مبلمان برای این فضا پرداختند‪ .‬فرانک به‬ ‫طراحی یک نیمکت تخت شو پرداخت که می تواند به واسطه‬ ‫فرم تاشو در فضاهای کوچک به راحتی قرار گیرد‪ .‬شهرزاد نیز به‬ ‫طراحی صندلی پرداخت که با الهام از موتیف های معماری ایرانی‬ ‫تلنگی به موتیف های پارچه های لهستانی را نیز در خود به همراه دارد‪.‬‬ ‫هر دو پروژه دانش سنتی هر دو کشور را در مبلمان هایی با ماهیت‬ ‫متفاوت به منصه ظهور رسانده اند‪.‬‬ ‫فرزانه به تاریخ حضور لهستانی ها در ایران در سالیان دور عالقمند شد و اینکه‬ ‫کودکان لهستانی در یتیم خانه هایی در اصفهان نگهداری می شدند‪ .‬او تصمیم‬ ‫گرفت صندلی برای یک پرورشگاه کودکان بی سرپرست طراحی کند که از‬ ‫یک بازی سنتی لهستانی از نظر فرم الهام گرفته است‪ .‬این صندلی باید بتواند‬ ‫حس شادی کودکانه را در این فضاها احیا نماید‪.‬‬ ‫افسانه ها و روایات لهستانی به شکل خاص الهام بخش غزاله در طراحی اش شد و‬ ‫پری دریایی اسطوره ای ورشو را به عنوان منبع الهام خود در طراحی در‬ ‫نظر گرفت‪ .‬فرم سیال پری دریایی در اسکلت صندلی و متریال نیمه‬ ‫شفاف مورد استفاده در آن که یادآور آب است‪ ،‬عناصر اصلی این‬ ‫مبلمان را به نمایش می‌گذارند‪.‬‬ ‫کیانا از موتیف های معماری ایرانی الهام‬ ‫گرفته است و آنها را با تکنیک خم چوب لهستانی ترکیب‬ ‫کرده است و به نیمکتی چند منظوره جهت استفاده در سفره‬ ‫خانه‌های ایرانی رسیده است‪ .‬روح ایرانی‪-‬لهستانی که در این مبلمان جریان دارد‬ ‫وجه تمایز آن در طراحی به شمار می رود‪.‬‬ ‫‪31‬‬

‫یافتن وجه اشتراکات لباسهای سنتی مردم ایران و لهستان پرداخته است‪ .‬صندلی «فرنجی»‬ ‫حاصل تفکر طراحی است که نه تنها در ساختار صندلی بلکه در متریال مورد استفاده در‬ ‫بدنه صندلی نیز به واسطه تعمق روی دو فرهنگ ایران و لهستان تجسم یافته است‪.‬‬ ‫علیرضا به واسطه عالقمندی شخصی‪ ،‬مطالعات خود را روی آثار یک‬ ‫هنرمند لهستانی توسعه داد و با الهام از فرم های سیال این آثار و تشابه‬ ‫آن با فرم های سیالی شن های بیابان های ایران‪ ،‬مبلی دو نفره که نوعی‬ ‫احساس معلق بودن در فضا را در بیننده ایجاد میکند خلق کرد‪ .‬ساختار معلق‬ ‫این مبل در فضا و خطوط منحنی چرخنده روی آن‪ ،‬حس یک نشیمن راحت که می‬ ‫تواند بدن را در بر گیرد به خوبی منتقل می کند‪.‬‬ ‫پروژه امین‌حسین ترکیبی از علم ریاضیات و دیزاین است‪،‬‬ ‫ترکیبی که ما را در زمان به سفر می برد و به یاد کرسی های‬ ‫قدیمی ایرانی می اندازد که اینبار با چوب خم شده لهستانی‬ ‫همراه شده است‪ .‬منحنی فیبوناچی و ترکیب آن به ساختار بیونیک‬ ‫طبیعتی بکر در ایران‪ ،‬میز «کندوان» را ارائه داده است که به واسطه ویژگی چندعملکردی‬ ‫که دارد می تواند هم به عنوان میزکوتاه و هم به عنوان میز مورد استفاده به همراه یک‬ ‫کرسی در فضای داخلی کاربرد داشته باشد‪.‬‬ ‫پروژه طاها از رودخانه ای پر پیچ و خم در ایران الهام گرفته است‪ .‬مفهومی که به‬ ‫صندلی کنار استخری «گرگر» منجر شده است‪ .‬ایده آب و جریان زندگی که با‬ ‫خود به همراه دارد بستر استفاده از این صندلی را در کنار استخر معنایی دیگر‬ ‫می‌بخشد‪ .‬در این پروژه نیز ارتباطی منطقی بین عناصر فرهنگی‬ ‫دو کشور در حوزه استفاده از چوب خمیده و همچنین صنعت‬ ‫دستی مکرمه بافی دیده می شود که جلوه زیبایی شناسانه و‬ ‫کاربردی مبلمان را دو چندان کرده است‪.‬‬ ‫‪32‬‬

‫این پروژه در چهار فاز اصلی برنامه ریزی شد ‪ :‬پژوهش نظری و عملی جهت انتخاب المان‬ ‫های فرهنگی ایران و لهستان‪ ،‬تطبیق المان های انتخابی برای استفاده در طراحی مبلمان‬ ‫در یک فضای انتخابی در کشور ایران‪ ،‬ایده پردازی مبتنی بر اسکچ های دو بعدی و در نهایت‬ ‫مدلسازی سه بعدی و ساخت دیجیتال نمونه های برتر‪.‬‬ ‫هر پروژه مبتنی بر یک المان‪ ،‬یک داستان‪ ،‬یک بنای تاریخی‪ ،‬یک تکنیک دستی هنری‬ ‫یا هرآنچه که اثری از تعلق به فرهنگ ایران و لهستان در دل خود داشت شکل گرفت‪ .‬از‬ ‫منظر سمیوتیک‪ ،‬هر المان یا داستان انتخاب شده توسط دانشجویان تحلیل شد و رابطه‬ ‫ای بینافرهنگی با طراحی مبلمان مورد نظر در آن ترسیم گردید‪ .‬این تغییرشکل طبیعی یا‬ ‫عامدانه‪ ،‬واقعیتی فراتر از احساسی که نسبت به المان انتخابی قابل درک بود ایجاد کرد‪ .‬بین‬ ‫هر المان فرهنگی و مکان انتخابی‪ ،‬تفکری پویا شکل گرفت تا توسعه مبلمان بتواند در خور‬ ‫فضای منتخب باشد‪.‬‬ ‫اگر بخواهم به صورت خالصه از پروژه های انجام شده توسط دانشجویان‬ ‫بگویم می توانم با پروژه محمدجواد شروع کنم که از موتیفی از آجرچینی‬ ‫های مناره ای در شهر گلپایگان الهام گرفته و با تغییر شکل آن‪ ،‬به عنوان‬ ‫اسکلت صندلی «گلپا» مورد استفاده قرار داده است‪ .‬خم های صورت‬ ‫گرفته از تکنیک خم چوب لهستانی الهام گرفته و قالی مورد استفاده به‬ ‫عنوان نشیمن و پشتی این صندلی‪ ،‬فرشی به نام ویست است که از قدیمی ترین‬ ‫و اصیل ترین فرش های این منطقه از ایران محسوب می شود‪ .‬این پروژه نه تنها شیئی‬ ‫تاریخی فرهنگی که همان فرش ایرانی است را به نمایش می گذارد بلکه تغییر شکل یک‬ ‫موتیف معماری را به فرمی پیچیده در دیزاین معرفی می کند‪.‬‬ ‫در این کاتالوگ پروژه آیدا که از جلیقه های مردم کرد ایران الهام گرفته‬ ‫است را خواهیم دید که به صورت سمبولیک به واسطه فرم و متریال‬ ‫مورد استفاده آن در این منطقه شهرت دارد‪ .‬این پروژه از سویی دیگر به‬ ‫‪33‬‬

‫نزدیک آنها را در مسیر برنامه ریزی شده پروژه قرار داد‪ .‬در نتیجه تصمیم نهایی به بازبینی‬ ‫این همکاری بین المللی از ابتدا مبتنی بر شرایط ایجاد شده و امکانات در دسترس انجامید‪.‬‬ ‫در این بازبینی مجدد بود که پیشنهاد برگزاری این نمایشگاه تحت شرایط جدید از سوی‬ ‫طرفین ارائه گردید و فعالیت ها از نقطه صفر مجدد آغاز شدند‪.‬‬ ‫همه دانشجویان به انتخاب یک المان در حوزه میراث ملموس یا ناملموس فرهنگی دعوت‬ ‫شدند که به فرهنگ دو کشور تعلق داشته باشد‪ .‬این مرحله نقطه شروع مهمی بود چون‬ ‫فرهنگ کشور لهستان تا حدودی برای اکثریت دانشجویان ناآشنا بود‪ ،‬اما کنجکاوی آنها‬ ‫بیش از آن بود که از این پژوهش اجتناب کنند‪ .‬این عالقمندی به حدی بود که حتی‬ ‫تعدادی از دانشجویان از مسیر ادبیات و دیگر حوزه های ادبی فرهنگی‪ ،‬غرق در تاریخ و‬ ‫افسانه های شیرین لهستان شدند و به مشاهده ویدئو ها‪ ،‬مطالعه متون و آثار هنری‪ ،‬آنالیز‬ ‫بناهای تاریخی‪ ،‬فهم افسانه های تاریخی یا هر نوع المان فرهنگی دیگری که از کشور‬ ‫لهستان به دست می آوردند پرداختند تا این فرهنگ را بیشتر و بهتر بشناسند‪ .‬این شناخت‬ ‫به آنها کمک می کرد تا یافته های خود را با فرهنگ ایرانی گره بزنند و انعکاس آن را در‬ ‫طراحی مبلمان مورد نظر خود ببینند‪.‬‬ ‫در شرایط جدید تنها ابزار ارتباطی برای بررسی پروژه ها و بحث و آنالیز مطالعات اینترنت و‬ ‫کالسهای مجازی در طول ترم بود و این فعالیت هر هفته برای دانشجویان به منظور هدایت‬ ‫آنها در مسیر طراحی و ارائه منابع مورد نیاز صورت گرفت‪ .‬این روش امتیازات و چالش های‬ ‫مخصوص به خود را دارد‪ .‬امتیاز از این نظر که می توان به طور همزمان کلیه دانشجویان‬ ‫را به صورت آنالین در پروژه هایشان هدایت کرد و چالش از این نظر که همه دانشجویان‬ ‫بدلیل عدم حضور نتوانستند از فرصت آشنایی با روش های ساخت دیجیتال در فاز نهایی‬ ‫پروژه از نزدیک بهره مند شوند‪ .‬لیکن علیرغم تمامی این موارد‪ ،‬نوعی روحیه همکاری در‬ ‫بین همه دانشجویان احساس شد تا تمامی پروژه ها بتواند به طور همزمان و برابر پیشرفت‬ ‫الزم را داشته باشد‪.‬‬ ‫‪34‬‬

‫معرفی پروژه‬ ‫سخن گفتن از فرهنگ مرزی نمی شناسد‪ .‬وقتی از فرهنگ صحبت می کنیم به موضوعی‬ ‫گسترده که ظرائف و نقاط قوت مخصوص به خود را دارد نزدیک شده ایم‪ .‬در دپارتمان‬ ‫طراحی صنعتی دانشگاه تهران تالش ما بر ایجاد نگاهی نو به موضوعات فرهنگی است تا‬ ‫دانشجویان بتوانند وارد حوزه هایی شوند که احساس می کنند به فراموشی سپرده شده‬ ‫است یا در حال تغییر شکل و ماهیت در جامعه مدرن و دنیای در حال پیشرفت است‪ .‬این‬ ‫موضوعات غالبا روزمره نیستند و پروژه طراحی مبلمان حاضر که از فرهنگ ایران و لهستان‬ ‫الهام گرفته است نمونه ای از این نوع نگاه می‌باشد که در ترم گذشته به انجام رسید‪.‬‬ ‫به خوبی روز ‪ 2‬اکتبر ‪ 2019‬که خانم ایرنا کوالکوفسکا را در دانشگاه تهران مالقات کردم‬ ‫به خاطر می آورم‪ .‬ایشان در این دیدار به عنوان رایزن فرهنگی سفارت لهستان در ایران‬ ‫امکان برگزاری برنامه ای فرهنگی بین دو کشور را مطرح کرد که بر این اساس مالقات‬ ‫های متعددی برای برنامه ریزی این همکاری در دانشگاه تهران و در شوروم بهمان به‬ ‫عنوان اسپانسر این برنامه برقرار شد‪ .‬بر اساس برنامه ریزی های صورت گرفته مقرر شد این‬ ‫همکاری بین المللی بین دانشجویان دو کشور و همچنین مراکز فرهنگی لهستان و اساتید‬ ‫مدعو به این برنامه صورت پذیرد‪.‬‬ ‫کلیه امور برنامه ریزی به نحو شایسته ای پیش رفت و آمادگی الزم برای اجرای نهایی‬ ‫برنامه صورت گرفت تا اینکه در ماه فوریه ‪ 2020‬همگی مهمان ناخواسته‌ای به نام کووید‬ ‫را پذیرا شدیم‪ .‬پدیده ای که همه جوانب برنامه ما را تحت الشعاع خود قرار داد و از نظر‬ ‫عملیاتی و آکادمیک در موقعیتی غیرقابل پیش بینی قرار گرفتیم‪ .‬حضور دانشجویان به‬ ‫مرور در دانشگاه کاهش یافت و شرایط تردد اجتماعی مشمول محدودیت های زیادی‬ ‫شد‪ .‬حتی جلسات برنامه ریزی این همکاری به شیوه مجازی تغییر ماهیت داد‪ .‬برنامه‬ ‫تبادل بین المللی پیش بینی شده به دلیل شرایط ایجاد شده لغو شد و همگی مجبور‬ ‫به عبور از این شرایط و نگاهی جدید به شیوه انجام این همکاری شدیم‪ .‬در این شرایط‬ ‫از طرفی امکان برنامه ریزی مجدد برای برگزاری این برنامه در تاریخی دیگر مهیا نبود و‬ ‫از طرفی دیگر دانشجویان مشمول نیز در دانشگاه حضور فیزیکی نداشتند تا بتوان از‬ ‫‪35‬‬

‫مخاطب عالقه من ِد فراوانی داشته باشد‪.‬‬ ‫می تواند برای بسیاری از جوامع جذاب بوده و‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫امروزه توجه به رنگ و تأثیرات آن بر روح و روان جوامع بشری از ضروریات می‌باشد‪.‬‬ ‫اگر بتوانیم براساس یک تفکر سیستمی سازمان‌یافته در دکوراسیون داخلی منزل‪،‬‬ ‫مبلمانی مطابق با هن ِر سنتی و تلفیقی و همراه با رنگ و بوم اصیل بهره ببریم‪ ،‬مطمئن‬ ‫خواهیم بود که سالمت و نشاط روح و روان در جامعه بیشتر خواهد شد‪ .‬استفاده از‬ ‫مبلمانی که براساس طرح های نوستالژیک ارائه گردیده و از هنر صنعت ایران و دست‬ ‫بافته های سنتی ایرانی و لهستانی بهره برده باشد‪ ،‬هنری مانا و تأثیرگذار خواهد بود‪.‬‬ ‫در واقع می توان گفت هنری را اصیل می گویند که در جامعه و در میان مردم زندگی‬ ‫کند و روح داشته باشد‪ ،‬در میان مردم احساس شود و در جای جای زندگی لمس‬ ‫گردد‪ .‬ترکیب هنر ایرانی‪ -‬لهستانی در مبلمان منزل این چنین خواهد بود‪ .‬با استفاده‬ ‫محلی مردم لهستان و ایران‪ ،‬و همچنین با الهام گرفتن و الگو‬ ‫از فرهنگ و هنر بومی‪-‬‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫برداشتن از ارتباطات فرهنگی‪ -‬هنری گذشته‪ ،‬می‌توانیم شاهد تحول و خلق هنری‬ ‫ماندگار باشیم‪.‬‬

‫یکی از این داشته های هنری‪ -‬فرهنگی که اهتمام و پرداختن به آن ضرورتی بنیادین‬ ‫دارد‪ ،‬بازگشت به اصالت‪ ،‬هنر‪ ،‬هویت و کشش هایی است که ساده و دلنشین بوده و‬ ‫یادآور و بازگشتی شکوهمند به خوشی های دوران گذشته است‪ .‬گاهی اوقات یک میز‬ ‫رنگی در و پنجره‬ ‫بازی نو ِر شیشه های‬ ‫چوبی یا فنجانی چای با سماور مسی و گاهی ِ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫های خانه‌ی مادربزرگ ها‪ ،‬ما را به دوران شیرین گذشته می برد و روح ما را مملوء از‬ ‫شادی می نماید؛ پس چه بهتر که جلوه هایی از این هنر ارزشمند احیاء شود‪ .‬امروزه‬ ‫کوسن دست دوزی شده‪ ،‬سماور و ظروف مسی قدیمی و قالیچه‬ ‫خانه هایی که از‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫و تخت و مبلمان سنتی به همراه هنر فرش و چوب و گره چینی بهره برده باشند‪،‬‬ ‫دلنشین‌ترند‪ .‬در خانه ای که از هنر بوم آورد استفاده شود‪ ،‬حس بی نظیری در فضا‬ ‫سرشار می‌شود و آرامش بیشتری به افراد می بخشد‪.‬‬ ‫خوانی فراهان با لفظ «صندلی لهستانی» مواجه‬ ‫من برای اولین بار در مراسم تعزیه‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫شدم و دیدم چقدر ساده و با سبکی زیبا و هنرمندانه ساخته شده است‪ .‬بعدها متوجه‬ ‫طرح تونت را هنرمندان و صنعتگران مهاجر لهستانی با‬ ‫شدم که ساخت صندلی های‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫استفاده از چوب های خمیده شده با بخار آب به همتایان ایرانی خود آموزش داده‌اند‪.‬‬ ‫کاربرد این صندلی ساده که حس فضایی ساده و دوستانه را القاء می کند‪ ،‬در ایران و‬ ‫به خصوص در کافی شاپ ها رونق بسیاری گرفته و ایرانی ها توانستند با این صندلی و‬ ‫مبلمان ارتباط برقرار کنند‪ .‬امید است که هنرمندان این صنف بتوانند از مصالح محلی‪-‬‬ ‫سنتی ایرانی و همچنین طراحی جدید استفاده کرده و با کمک تکنیک فراگرفته شده‬ ‫از هنرمندان لهستانی به آفرینش سبک های تلفیقی اهتمام ورزند؛ چرا که این نو آوری‬

‫فرهنگ ایران و لهستان و ضرورت استفاده از‬ ‫هنر بومی وسنتی جهت خلق آثار ماندگار‬

‫توفیق دیدار سفیر محترم و معظم لهستان و همسر فرهنگ دوست و‬ ‫رایزن فرهنگی آن کشور را در ایران مال داشتم‪ .‬شیفتگی آن‌ها به هنر اصیل‬ ‫ایرانی‪ ،‬بیانگر اصالت و ریشه‌ی فرهنگی‪ -‬هنری مردم خوب لهستان است‪ .‬از این‬ ‫رو‪ ،‬به یاد ارتباطات فرهنگی گذشته بین ایران و کشور لهستان افتادم‪ .‬زمانی‌که در‬ ‫گورستان سرآسیاب محله دوالب با آرامگاه بزرگان‪ ،‬فرهیختگان‪ ،‬هنرمندان و دالوران‬ ‫لهستانی مقیم ایران روبه‌رو شدم‪ ،‬مشاهده نمودم آن ها مهری در گرو این سرزمین‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫داشته و استخوان و ریشه‌ای تاریخی در کشور ما دارند‪ .‬ارتباط و تبادالت فرهنگی ما‬ ‫قدمت دیرینه دارد‪ .‬یا ِد نامه‌ی اوزن حسن آق قویونلو به پادشاه کازمیر در قرن دهم‬ ‫میالدی افتادم و به یاد جنگاوری‪ ،‬دالوری و فرماندهی سپاه عباس میرزا و باروفسکی‪،‬‬ ‫که چقدر دالورانه به نفع ایرانیان مبارزه کرد‪ .‬به یاد تمبر یادبودی در لهستان افتادم‬ ‫که روی آن نوشته بود‪« :‬اصفهان‪ ،‬شهر کودکان لهستانی»‪ ،‬و همچنین ده ها موضوع‬ ‫دیگر که اشاره به حسن روابط ما دارد‪.‬‬ ‫در آن سال‌ها مردم خوب لهستان هر چه در توان داشتند در جهت رونق صنعت ایران‬ ‫به کار بردند و هنگامی که در معرض خطر قرار گرفتند‪ ،‬ما ایرانیان نیز خوب از آن‌ها‬ ‫پذیرایی کردیم‪ ،‬برای آن‌ها مأمن خوبی شدیم و برادرانه پذیرای حضور آن ها گشتیم‪.‬‬ ‫تعدادی از آن انسان ها خدمات شایسته ای به جوامع بشری ارائه کردند و ارتباط‬ ‫عاطفی خوبی بین مردم ایران و لهستان برقرار گردید‪ .‬همنشینی و تبادل هنری‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫فرهنگی دیرین باعث شد در تمام زمینه ها ارتباطات عمیق فرهنگی‪ -‬هنری‬ ‫و‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ایجاد شود و از داشته های هنری هم بهره ببریم‪.‬‬

‫خوش‌آمد گویی‬ ‫طراحان جوان‪ ،‬آثار تاریخی ایرانی و لهستانی را مورد پژوهش قرار دادند تا‬ ‫راه تازه ای را برای بیان غنای هر دو فرهنگ بیابند‪ .‬این آثار با نقش و نگار و رنگ‪،‬‬ ‫و مهم تر از همه با نمادهای فراوانشان الهام بخش بوده اند‪ .‬از سوی دیگر‪ ،‬فن آوری‬ ‫روز نیز بستری برای تولید فراهم کرد تا مبلمانی نوآورانه‪ ،‬برگرفته از هنرکاربردی‪ ،‬با‬ ‫طراحی تخصصی‪ ،‬نفیس و با کیفیت ساخته شود‪.‬‬ ‫این مبلمان ضمن تطابق با روند مدرن و رایج روز‪ ،‬باعث ارتقاء عناصر موجود در‬ ‫شناسی موجود در دوناحیه‌ای‬ ‫میراث منطقه ای شده اند‪ .‬بدین ترتیب که زیبایی‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫که از لحاظ جغرافیایی دور از هم قرار گرفته اند‪ ،‬با ایجاد تلفیقی هماهنگ‪ ،‬منجر‬ ‫به دستیابی به نتایج شگفت انگیزی شده اند‪ .‬دستاورد دیگر این کار این است که‬ ‫ادبی ویژه در هر دو فرهنگ‬ ‫حساسیت ها‪ ،‬مضامین بالغی و درون مایه های سنتی و ِ‬ ‫زمینه ی ارزشمندی فراهم کرد تا ضمن یافتن نقاط مشترک‪ ،‬با یکدیگر ادغام شوند و‬ ‫خوشبختانه در قالب قطعاتی کاربردی ارائه گردند‪.‬‬ ‫این دانشجویان نه تنها با ایده ها و متریال‪ ،‬بلکه با وضعیت همه گیری بیماری کرونا‬ ‫نیز دست و پنجه نرم کردند؛ شرایطی که به دلیل ایجاد مانع در دسترسی به اطالعات‬ ‫و تعامل با اساتیدشان‪ ،‬منجر به تداخل در روند یادگیری آن ها شد‪ .‬به رغم تمام‬ ‫نامالیمات‪ ،‬این پروژه به سرانجام رسیده است و اکنون با خوشحالی بسیار شما را به‬ ‫دیدن نتایج خارق العاده آن دعوت می کنیم‪.‬‬
