Move-In: Campus springs back to life

ife was brought back to campus Aug. 18 as students moved in to prepare for the fall semester. Activities went on all day from playing Frisbee to free snacks in the quad. Students were moving in to all three residence halls and the two apartment complexes. “It was pretty easy moving in,” said Katie Adams, early childhood education freshman. “Everyone was so helpful, but at the same time it was chaotic with so many people moving in.” To help make the day run smoothly, volunteers from different on campus organizations like fraternities and the resident assistants pitched in to help students move their belongings into their new homes. “The volunteers were so helpful,” said Judy Curb, dental hygiene freshman. “Since my parents couldn’t get off work, they all helped make moving so much smoother.” Some students like Curb didn’t have the aid of their parents, and the organizations that helped with Move-In Day made the transition from home to a college dorm a little simpler. “Meeting new people, living on your own and experiencing college is what I’m most excited for,” said Max
