This past year, the AGC of North Dakota listed the MSUM Construction Management program as a CM program students can attend to qualify for their scholarship.

Associated Schools of Construction, Region 4 Student Competition

This year we had two teams attend the annual Region 4 – ASC Student Competition in Nebraska City, NE. The divisions they competed in were CM@R and General Contracting. Neither team placed, but as always, it was a good learning experience for the students.

This is our eighth year participating in the Pursuit Competition hosted by Ryan Companies USA. In this competition, students respond to an RFP. The design is complete, so a detailed schedule and estimate are part of the proposal.
Apex Builders – Connor Twidwell, Spencer Lake, Blake Greenwaldt, Trista Kees presented in Minneapolis to Ryan Company judges on April 29th. Congratulations seniors!

ABC National Convention & Student Competition
Las Vegas, NV
For the first time, six MSUM students competed in the National ABC Student Competition. It was held in February at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV. There were 34 teams competing.
Students competing included:
Jackson Martin, Austin Kantola, Logan Kletscher, Paul Harder, Carson Gast, and Benett Person.
THE COMPETITION
he teams put their construction project leadership skills to the test by completing the same real-life construction management project.
This year’s multiphase project focused on the MiraCosta Health and Wellness Hub, which encompasses 27 acres at the eastern end of MiraCosta College’s Oceanside Campus in Oceanside, California.

The development includes a state-of-the-art, 30,000-square-foot gymnasium and a 27,000-square-foot Allied Health Building.
Additionally, the entire 27-acre site will undergo enhancements, featuring new concrete, paving, landscaping and walking paths.
What Is MSUM Giving Day?
MSUM Giving Day is an annual tradition, 24 -hour online fundraising event supporting scholarships, programs, facilities, special projects, and learning experiences.
The first MSUM Giving Day took place in April 2019 and was a great success in bringing together alumni, friends, family, faculty and staff.

This year, the Construction Management program raised over $8,500! Thank you to our donors! It is much appreciated and allows us to continue to allow our students to attend opportunities available to them that enhances their overall college experience and increases learning opportunities.
3rd Annual Career Fair
We had our 3rd annual CM career fair in September which was a great success!
