End of an Era - 5th Years Bid Farewell As the cohort of Bond MD 2015 say their final goodbyes, we would like to extend this appreciation for the legacy they have left behind. While classified as seniors, they have helped out numerous younger years and left their mark at this university

"Live these years in medschool as how you would want to in the future. This time in your life isn't just a transitory phase that you can throw away later on - it will shape who you will be for the rest of your life. So be bold and try new things. Find that right balance. Enjoy the short time here whilst molding yourself into the person you want to be." - 5th year

End of an Era - 5th Years Bid Farewell ""Those who study medicine without books sails an uncharted sea, but those who studies medicine without patients does not go to sea at all."

"You live what everyone else gets - a lifetime. No more. No less. You've got a lifetime."

Trust no bastard - the timeless ED mantra

"People say you can buy this degree, I say to them, you cannot buy these kind of friends for 5 years and more to come"

I’ve never heard a doctor say, ‘I wish I didn’t have fun in medical school’. Most students give up opportunities of leisure to study, to the extent that they’ve refused to have fun for months. I don’t want to graduate and only remember stressing and studying. I say, make memories daily. Accept the lunch invite, reach out for dinners, try new adventures, and actively work on facing your fears. The workload seems hard now, but in the wider perspective, now is the easiest it’ll get. Be a good doctor, but don’t forget to experience life on the way too

JACINTA TRANG Looking back over the past 4 years, I have made lifelong friendships, been on countless numbers of hikes and discovered passions beyond medicine. From being part of many teams both in and outside of Bond such as the AMSA Global Health Conference and at church I have learnt so much about what’s important to me, continually stepped out of my comfort zone and learnt that in order to lead others I must lead myself first. Leading yourself may look different for every one of us, but I think it’s so important that you have a think about how you can best do that. It may look like setting time aside intentionally for family and friends each week, having hobbies that refresh you, finding a mentor or investing into activities or people that challenge and grow you. Whatever that is, make it a priority. Your future self will thank you for it.
