Mamma Mia, taking place in Greece, is a love story set to the catchy music by ABBA This classic follows the story of Donna, an independent single women who is preparing for her daughter, Sophie’s, wedding In hopes of finding her father to have him walk her down the isle, Sophie devises a plan. she invites three men from her mothers past to her wedding. One of these men is her father, but she does not know which one Donna is unaware of her daughters plan and freaks out when she sees her past lovers on the island She demands that they leave, but eventually lets them stay

During the famous song Voulez-Vous, Sophie confronts each man individually about the possibility of them being her father, and they unknowingly all say they will walk her down the isle

Of the three men, Bill, Harry, and Sam, Donna only had true feelings for Sam She sings of her love struggle by singing the cult favorite, “The Winner Takes It All”

WHile Donna is helping Sophie get ready for her big day, the song “Slipping Through my Fingers” plays in the background. This song makes it impossible to hold the tears back

Donna finds out about Sophies plan and tells her that even she does not know which man is Sophie’s father So, Donna walks Sophie down the isle When they get there, Sky (the groom) and Sophie decide to break off the engagement and travel the world. Donna and Sam decide to get married on the spot The musical ends with the song “I Have a Dream” as Sophie and Sky sail off into the night
