Command Sergeant Major Adam B. Schuessler is the Commandant of the Henry H. Lind NCO Academy at Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington. As the Commandant, he leads a campus of nearly 60 Active Army facilitators that instruct the Army’s Basic Leader Course, Master Leader Course, and Common Faculty Development – Instructor Course. Training nearly 3,000 junior and senior leaders annually, the Henry H. Lind NCO Academy prepares Soldiers and the occasionally Airman for future leadership as a DoD professional.

Command Sergeant Major Adam B. Schuessler is a native of Wellston, Michigan. He enlisted in the Army in October, 2002.

CSM Schuessler’s military education includes the Warrior Leader’s Course, Advanced Leader’s Course, Senior Leader’s Course, Basic Airborne Course, Jumpmaster Course, and the Army Instructor Course. His civilian education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Security from Western Governors University and a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity from Western Governors University. CSM Schuessler holds Certifications as a Cisco Certified Networking Professional, Cisco Certified Networking Associate – Security, COMPTIA Advanced Security Practitioner, Security+, Network+, A+, Linux+, Project+, Linux Professional Institute System Administrator, Certified Ethical Hacker, Certified Hacking Forensics Investigator.

CSM Schuessler’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4th award), Army Commendation Medal (4th award), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (4th award) and Humanitarian Service Medal. He has been awarded the Combat Action Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge and various foreign Parachutist Badges.

CSM Schuessler is married to Julianne Steurer and has a nineteen-year-old son, Camden, who lives in Michigan.
