KEEN Card Exemplar
Dr. Daugherty’s KEEN Card on Energy Projects with Community/Industry Participation is an MSOE Exemplar Dr. Daugherty received two Mini-Grants in 2020 and then worked with the CREATE Institute to set up community and industry partners for his courses. He subsequently published a few KEEN Cards to share his work, below is one of these cards.
At first glance, the card supports Entrepreneurial Minded Learning (EML).

Daugherty’s EM Journey
Dr. Daugherty is an active Engineering Unleashed Member with 13 KEEN cards (as of October 2022). He creates learning and development opportunities to enhance student success and promote the MSOE Mindset, which includes KEEN’s Entrepreneurial Mindset. Since CREATE opened in 2019, Dr. Daugherty has participated in at least 19 professional development opportunities related to MSOE Mindset and EM development, including the KEEN National Conference and Engineering Unleashed Faculty Development.
