A note from the host...
Dear Friends, Neighbors and fellow Cattlemen,

We would first like to thank you for your time and interest in our program. Last year was our ‘maiden voyage’ hosting our first sale, and we are so thankful to y’all that helped make it a great success... good enough that we’re going to try it again this year!
Back in the summer of 2020, we went on a 14 day tour visiting some of the top Red Angus programs around the country. We were able to purchase some of the top young cows from the renowned Pieper herd in NE, including females like PIE Bonnie Bel 852, the dam of the $150,000 breed phenom, PIE Captain 057, and TKP Belle 3160, the dam of PIE Up Front 508. We have added a few more donors, like the dam of Bieber Stockmarket and also the dam of the record setting $400,000 PIE Hollywood 222.

We have stepped up our game, implanting more embryos this year, and the sale will feature pregnant recipients and embryos that are the result of this intense program. Once again we are featuring a handful of our best ‘23 born open heifers, as well as a nice group of replacement bred heifers. Don’t miss the powerful group of bred registered and commercial cows selling also!
We are excited to offer this set of age-advantaged bulls, and we hope to continue to offer you more bulls... and better bulls. This year the offering features ET sons of KJL/CLZB Complete 7000E, PIE Quarterback, PIE Captain, PIE Commander and B2Red Stockmarket 9003. We are also pleased to offer four bulls from the Three Nails Ranch, Billy Franks, from Cisco, TX, as well as three bulls and a bred heifer from Justin Moore, right here in Iowa Park, TX.
Again thank you for your interest in our program and we look forward to meeting you this October 7th. Please join us on Friday, October 6th, to view the offering and have Hors d’Oeuvres and refreshments, and show up sale day and we will serve you a steak!
Sincerely,
Clint & Elizabeth Witherspoon Abby, Emme, Elizabeth, Clint, Joshua & Kaycen.Friday, October 6th –

ProS ..... Profitability and Sustainability is an all-purpose index that predicts average economic differences in all segments in the beef supply chain. This index is a combination of the breeding objectives modeled in the HerdBuilder and GridMaster selection indexes. In this index, replacement heifers are retained from within the herd and all remaining progeny are fed out to slaughter and sold on a quality-based grid. Traits included in this index include calving ease, growth, HPG, STAY, Mature Weight, Dry Matter Intake and carcass traits. The resulting index is expressed in dollars per head born (Index/High Value).
HB ....... HerdBuilder is a maternal selection index that predicts the economic differences of animals for traits that are important from conception through weaning. Expressed as dollars per head born, HB is calculated based on the scenario that bulls are mated to heifers and cows, replacement heifers are retained and all remaining progeny are marketed at weaning. Traits included in the HB index include Calving Ease Direct, Calving Ease Maternal, Weaning Weight, Milk, Mature Weight, Heifer Pregnancy and Stayability (Index/High Value).
GM....... GridMaster is a selection index that predicts the average economic difference of non-replacement calves through the post-weaning phase of production. GM places selection pressure on growth, feedyard performance and carcass traits. Expressed as dollars per head born, GM is calculated based on the scenario that progeny are fed out to slaughter and marketed on a quality-based carcass grid. Traits included in GM include Average Daily Gain, Carcass Weight, Dry Matter Intake, Marbling, Back Fat and Rib Eye Area (Index/High Value).

CED ........ Calving Ease Direct predicts differences in the percent of calves born unassisted out of 2-year-old dams. (Percent/High Value)

Lot 4... as pretty as a rose!
301

- Last year we led off our inaugural sale with the elite ET donor, Bieber Primrose 306D, so it seems only fitting that her best progeny lead off this year’s event. Primrose 301 was our first calf born this spring and she is a beauty!
- The dam, Primrose 306D, is a long and level made with a great EPD profile and a royal pedigree to back it up! She is sired by Hard Drive, a bull that is well known around the breed for his outstanding daughters, and she comes from the famed Basin Primrose 2043 tribe.

- Her sire, PIE Captain 057, is the $150,000 Quarterback son out of our signature ET donor, Bonne Bel 852. Now with his second calf crop, he is one of the top AI sires in the breed today.

BCRED PRIMROSE 315
- Lot 5 is a ultra-feminine, super clean made female that offers up a little different outcross pedigree.
- Her sire, Red MRLA Respect 42G, is a $130,000 Canadian outcross bull that is fast becoming a popular choice for those that like performance with eye appeal.

- Lot 6 is the natural calf out of Primrose 306D, the donor we featured last year as Lot 1 and sold her to our good friend, Brandon McCalister here in Iowa Park, TX.

- Her sire, PIE One of a Kind 352, is the highly proven growth and maternal leader owned by Power Plus Genetics in OK. His rare semen has commanded upward of $250 per unit.

BSF PRIMROSE L33

- If you’re looking for a rip-fronted cocky heifer for a kid to show this fall and next spring, we think Lot 7 is going to be competitive.
- The proof is already in the pudding... her dam, Damar Star 365W B043, is the maternal sister to the National Champion, Cowboy Cut 26U, and her progeny include the ‘19 NAJRAE Reserve Grand Champion Female.

- Lot 9 is a full ET sister to the pair of heifers we offered the pick of last year, topping our sale to Berwald Red Angus and Hansine Ranch for $55,000.
- The dam, PIE Bonne Bel 852, our signature donor cow at Buffalo Creek by 9 Mile Franchise and also the dam of the $150,000 breed phenom, PIE Captain 057.

- In just the last 12 months Brown Confidence G1410 has taken the breed by storm, siring a $100,000 heifer and $400,000 bull at Pieper’s, and an $85,000 heifer and $90,000 bull at Berwald’s.

- WOW... here is your chance to flush one of the most influential cows in the breed today to the bull of your choice!
- The purchase of Bonne Bel 852 back in ‘20 was the single most important move for Buffalo Creek Red Angus. Her first calf was PIE Captain 057, and he is now one of the most popular sires in the breed today. We feel her Complete sons selling in this event as Lots 41 thru 44 can have that same influence. Selling the right to one (1) convential flush to the bull of your choice.
The pick of these two full sisters to Lot 9 topped our ‘22 sale, going to Berwald Red Angus & Hansine Ranch for $55,000.
