Thank you for sharing at the 2nd “TECHSMACK Sharing Event” for eTwinning INCLUSIVE EDUCATION group!

Please select a blank slide to add the tool, an app or a lesson idea that you would like to share in the “Tech Smack” starting with the slide 6. Use any of the blank slides following where you see this blue background. Each person will have 3-4 minutes to share. You can use 2 slides if necessary but you will just have 4 minutes total to share per tool. If you would like to share two tools/resources or other feel free to add another slide. We’ll fit in as many as we can in the session.

Tool 1.

Scratch is designed to be fun, educational, and easy to learn. It has the tools for creating interactive stories, games, art, simulations, and more, using block-based programming.

Scratch even has its own paint editor and sound editor built-in.

Users program in Scratch by dragging blocks from the block palette and attaching them to other blocks like a jigsaw puzzle. Structures of multiple blocks are called scripts. This method of programming (building code with blocks) is referred to as "drag-and-drop programming".

Specific Learning Disabilities So what can people with learning disabilities do that I can do also? Well it would take pages and pages to name them all, so I’ll describe them in one short word: EVERY THING! Calabrò Grazia, Italy

How to teach to pupils with dyslexia.

Be direct and explicit Often repeat the same concepts Use diagnostic teaching Use time wisely Not change the routine Make an individual education plane Be careful about pupil’s emotions Create a positive atmosphere in class Use dispensatory measure and compensatory instruments...and so on!!!

Remember that: Dyslexia is a learning problem that causes complications in reading and writing. It also affects other skills: concentration, memory and organizational skills. When you understand how to teach a dyslexic child, you can help build awareness of himself in addition to cognitive skills, using teaching methods that provide a multi-sensory approach. So it not only facilitate him in the classroom , but also in other areas of his life.
