MSM Symphony Orchestra Concert and Reception
Receive two VIP tickets to the 2025/26 season opening night concert featuring the MSM Symphony Orchestra conducted by George Manahan (BM ’73, MM ’76) and featuring pianist Seiran Tozlian (BM ’26). The program includes Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and Stravinsky’s Petrushka (1947). Meet the conductor and student performers at a post-performance reception.

Musical Walking Tour of Harlem
Join historian Thomas Mellins and MSM’s new Dean of Jazz Arts, Jim Saltzman (DMA ’18), on a walking tour highlighting Harlem’s legacy of gospel and jazz music. Learn about iconic figures such as Mahalia Jackson, Ella Fitzgerald, and Thelonious Monk, and visit historic sites, including Abyssinian Baptist Church, Apollo Theater, and Billie Holiday’s home. Following the tour, meet MSM Jazz Arts students.

Enjoy a Behind the Scenes Visit to The Metropolitan Opera
Join us for a backstage tour at the Met Opera and meet MSM alumna Melissa Wegner (MM ’05), Executive Director of the Met’s Lindemann Young Artists Program and the Laffont Competition, which nurture promising young opera singers and assist in the development of their careers through training and performance opportunities. Learn about these prestigious programs and meet MSM alumni who are distinguished graduates.

MSM Artist Diploma Final Auditions and Reception
Join us for the MSM Artist Diploma Final Auditions. Each year, one exceptional young artist is accepted to pursue the Artist Diploma, a one-year course of study for students whose performance level is of the highest international standards. Meet the winner of the audition, adjudicators, and MSM faculty members at a post-audition reception.

MSM Musical Theatre presents A Little Night Music
Enjoy brunch with President Gandre and Liza Gennaro, Dean of Musical Theatre, before the MSM Musical Theatre production of Sondheim’s A Little Night Music. Meet members of the creative team and receive two VIP tickets to the performance.

MSM Jazz Orchestra at Dizzy’s Club
Join Jim Saltzman (DMA ’18), Dean of Jazz Arts, for dinner at Dizzy’s Club followed by a performance by the MSM Jazz Orchestra, featuring pianist Aaron Diehl. The event fee of $100 per person includes dinner and a ticket to the performance.
