Quick Facts The Mustangs defeated Hastings 55-18 in their conference opener last Saturday. Morningside climbed to No. 3 in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll this week, being one of three GPAC teams ranked inside the Top 25. Mount Marty dropped its game with Dordt Saturday 49-20 after a 2-0 start for the first time in program history. Morningside has outscored the Lancers 126-7 in the two games between the two programs. In its second season, Mount Marty improved from an 0-10 record to 3-8 last season, and needs one more win to match last season’s total. Mount Marty is one of four GPAC schools the Mustangs are undefeated against during Steve Ryan’s tenure. Mount Marty faces all four Iowa GPAC schools consecutively, beating Briar Cliff in week one, falling to Dordt last week, facing the Mustangs this week and are facing Northwestern next week.
