PORTFOLIO MEARA SHAPAKA
MEARA SHAPAKA INTERIOR DESIGNER As an interior design student I am passionate about creating spaces that truly speak to people. For me, design is more than just aesthetics—it’s about creating environments that enhance the way we live, work, and interact. Every space holds the potential to influence moods, behavior, and experiences. I have been inspired by the idea that spaces are not just physical structures but dynamic entities that shape how we feel and function. From the use of color and texture to the flow and layout of furniture, every detail plays a vital role in the story a space tells. My journey as a designer has been shaped by an appreciation for the way design can enhance comfort, foster creativity, and provide sanctuary.

This interactive space is carefully curated to provide a sense of normalcy, comfort, and joy to young patients. The design aims to be an emotional and physical retreat where children can temporarily escape the hardships of their treatment journey and rediscover the joys of play and creativity. 05. THE WEDDING PLANNER
DINING AREA
THE WEDDING PLANNER The Wedding Planner located in Cleveland, Ohio showcases the adaptive reuse of an old factory building, transforming it into a vibrant Indian Cultural Center designed to host traditional Indian weddings and cultural events. The space blends the rich heritage of Indian culture with the industrial charm of the original building, offering a stunning setting for multi-day celebrations. Creating distinct zones within the vast space to accommodate different events. A delicate balance of contemporary and traditional materials enhances the space’s versatility, allowing it to adapt to various cultural events beyond weddings, such as festivals, dance performances, and family gatherings. The selection of materials was driven by a desire to honor the rich traditions of Indian culture while embracing the industrial character of the original factory building.
