How to re-advertise your accommodation & make an Online Payment using Student Pad - a short guide

Introduction The purpose of this guide is to show you the easiest way to re-advertise and make a payment for your properties using the Studentpad online system.

The guide is made up of a series of screen shots of the Studentpad control site, along with a short explanation of what to do.

Logging on to the System Go to http://control.studentpad.co.uk/login and enter your email and password (if you need these again, please contact the office)

Re-advertising your accommodation Once you have agreed to the terms and conditions for accreditation for this advertising period, you will be presented with the following web page:

Unless your contact details have changed, please click the ‘All Properties’ tab (circled in red). This will take you to the following page:

Please do not re-register if you have used the system before.

This page lists all of the properties that you have registered on the database. If you cannot see the property you want, please click ‘Add a New Property’ at the top of the page.

Otherwise, select the property you wish to re-advertise and click on the ’Next’ button at the bottom of the page (circled in red).

You will be presented with a number of options on the left side of the page. You need to choose ‘Re-advertise an Existing Property’ (circled in red).

Update the details where necessary and upload new supporting documents using the ‘add (with up arrow)’ icon to the right.

Note: You can upload new certificates to this page or you can e-mail them to manchesterstudenthomes@manchester.ac.uk.

Click ‘next’ when this has been completed.

The next page shows the advert details. Please note the following (all circled in red): 

‘Let Property to’ = If your property is a 1 bedroom flat or studio you will need to select ‘Group’.



Description of Room = Add extra information eg Room A, Room A with en suite etc



‘Contract Length’ = Short Let is for 4-6 months, Long Let is for anything between 6 months 1 year.



‘Override Contact Information’ = selecting ‘Yes’ will replace your standard/ web contact information with the information below this field.



‘Available From’ = Please ensure that this date is correct or your advert will not appear when students are searching.



‘I would like my advert to run from’ = this date should be today’s date, in the near future or the start of the next advertising period.

This will take you to the property ‘Check Certificates’ page:

manchesterstudenthomes.com Make any changes you wish and click the ‘next’ button at the bottom of the screen.

You will come to the following page:

Note: That Studentpad will automatically remove any live adverts from the website when a certificate expires.

There are various different ways to pay for your advert, but the quickest and most efficient way is to pay online via The University of Manchester’s e-store. You will need to click on the link which takes you to a secure page (circled in red).

If you have multiple adverts and wish to pay once you have completed all the adverts, you can go to The University of Manchester Online Store.

Note: You will need to create an account to pay via the online store—your Studentpad login details will not work.

Please note that the red and orange messages here (circled in red) are a reminder that your certificates need to be submitted. This message will remain until a member of the MSH Team updates the system manually.



‘Preview Advert’ will allow you to preview the advert whilst it is waiting to be approved.



‘Return to Dashboard’ will allow you to return to the login page.



‘Readvertise a different property’ will take you back to your list of properties (see below)

You can leave the system by clicking on the little person at the top of the page (circled in red below) and then ‘My Settings/Log Out’:

Then click on ‘Logout of Your Account’.
