From the drawing table to the final product, everything is designed and manufactured out of our factory in Australia technicians.

Each product is hand-assembled and checked by one of our experienced fitters before leaving the assembly line to ensure years of untroubled use.

MSC Warrants all its products back to base for 12 months based on manufacturing fault.

We pride ourselves on creating products built to withstand to the harsh conditions that come with motorcycle riding so our customers can use them trouble-free for years to come.

So, what benefit does a Steering Damper actually have?

Every motorcycles has suspension to help you control the up and down movements of your front wheel. Well, a steering damper does a similar thing, it helps you control the side to side motion of the front wheel by dampening sharp or sudden hits that may want to turn y our front wheel and send you in an unintended direction. So over the years we commonly explain to people that a damper provides "sideways suspension". This enables a smoother, safer ride and reduc es over fatigue.

Ideal for riders tackling high-speed races such as Finke and Hattah, the AXIS steering damper is the latest in steering damper technology with its small compact design featuring 20 clicks of adjustment and Active Return to Centre (RTC) as well as all the standard MSC MOTO quality features like hardened steel long-lasting linkages and anodized billet construction

VECTOR MX

ABOUT:

VectorMX has all the benefits of the Axis steering damper for ri ders who want an under mount steering damper but don't like the rais ed bar height a conventional steering damper offers. In most cases, the handlebars are raised less than 5mm and at the highest, you wil l only get a 10mm raised bar height which you can overcome with some l ower bend handlebars if needed. The top bar clamp is a strong 1 piec e billet design adding more strength to the bar mounts and reduce twisti ng in a crash. Installation can be completed with a standard tool kit

All RM3 steering damper kits are bolt-on and do not require you to make permanent changes to your standard bike. To allow for this the RM3 offers you a unit that’s physical dimensions, its height, width and depth, are slimline enough that it fits under most handlebars with the bars raised a nominal amount.

Msc products has a complete service kit available to purchase t o suit your damper. The service can be carried out at home by the customer or taken to your nearest MSC stockist. Service kit includes all parts required to change during a service (excluding fork oil), along with detailed instructions on how to carry out your service. we recommend a high-quality 5W fork oil...

Alternatively, MSC offers servicing on dampers. Simply package y our damper and send to our workshop. Please ensure to include; Name, contact details, return address and summary of damper condition.

Please allow 2-3 week turn around, upon completion MSC will ret urn damper via express post to supplied address. If service is urgent please contact our customer servi ce team to make arrangements prior.

What is Active Return To Centre Technology (ARTC) and how does it work?

Unique to MSC Moto, Active Return To Centre Technology is a ful ly dynamic internal adjuster which controls the return to center circuit by actively reducing the damping as much as a rider needs to get back to center at the speed they turn the handlebars.

This means the faster the rider tries to get the bike back to a straight line the more the RTC will be released. Having this system means that when the rider wants to keep a straight line at high speed they get the benefit of a damper that has full damping on RTC wh ile in tight trees the feeling is more like having a fully controlled zero RTC system.

How high will the DownUnder Steering Damper Mount raise my handlebars?

On a KTM it will raise the bars 25mm while on some other models like a Yamaha, it may go up 30mm because of how far the steering stem protrudes through the trip le clamp.

MSC produce a Top-Mount Steering Damper with a bar pad include d which is the ideal solution if you dont want to raise the height of your handlebars.

How often do I need to service my steering damper?

Servicing is dependent on many elements such as how much you ri de, the terrain you commonly ride, etc. We recommend servicing the damper at the sa me frequency you would get your suspension serviced, which is usually once a year. In some case s customers go on to use MSC dampers for up to 5 years without any servicing, howver this is n’t something we reccomend as the oil will not be perform the way it should be after this amount of time.
