The Human Brain
from Sharks by Aarith
The brain is the most important organ in your body. It has four main parts:The Cerebrum, Cerebellum, Diencephalon, and the Brain stem. The largest part of the brain is the Cerebrum. The Cerebrum contains the pineal gland, which is about the size of a grain of rice, yet it controls most of your body's functions such as sleeping, breathing, etc.The Diencephalon has the Hippocampus which is the part of your brain that controls your reflexes. The Brain stem is on the bottom of your brain. This part of the brain connects the brain to your spinal cord, which makes up the nervous system. Last but not least, the cerebellum is the smallest part of your brain. This part of the brain controls walking, the way you think, and many more. There are five stages for your brain to be in.There is Delta,Theta,Alpha, Betta, and Gamma. Delta, which means you are in deep sleep.Theta, which means your eyelids are droopy and you are tired.Alpha, meaning you are not that tired but feel like sleeping. Betta means that you are attentive and are ready to go. Last but not least, Gamma means that your brain is encountering the hardest challenges and is working on hard problems.
