NEWSLTR WHAT IS LEAN CONSTRUCTION LEAN IS HERE AT LENMARK! Here at Lenmark we have always operated as a very ‘Lean’ business, & as so we have always tried to offer our clients a honest & fair price for the works that we carry out, our prudent approach alongside carrying out ‘value engineering exercises’ prior to submitting our tenders has been very successful over the years, but now we are looking to take ‘Lean’ to a new level. Over the coming months our intention is to really push ‘Lean Construction’ throughout our business from head office to site, this will see our teams push
GLEN FERON & PATSY SCULLION RETIREMENT It was a sad day on 31st April when Glen Feron & Patsy Scullion retired from the business.
for continuous improvement, whilst also improving customer satisfaction, reduce costs, waste elimination, & increase productivity & efficiency, by focusing on delivering value to our customers Lean construction can help us meet or exceed their expectations & build long tern relationships, everyone wins! In early July Lenmark teamed up with TwinUK to organise a training course for our contract managers & office staff in Business improvement techniques, & Effective teamwork.
These courses will help us become a Lean & Effective organisation, standardizing processes & consolidating information across many different parts of the business. Our Lean management approach will also look at the added value we can bring to our customers, but also where we can cut waste & increase productivity on site. Our goal over the next 12 months is to completely eliminate defects on site,& through our QA system & we are on target to make that a reality.
Glen who has been with the business for 17 years and has been a real dependable & tenacious part of the company, always giving his very best every day, now you need to put the same effort into doing nothing Glen, & I know that will be hard for you mate.
Patsy Scullion, what a legend.
We were lucky to have you, now it’s your family’s turn.
It just won’t be the same anymore without you mate, but don’t be giving all that pension to William Hill!
Even at 75, still operating a excavator!! The good thing about retirement Patsy, you now become your own boss, what’s more you won’t have to deal anymore with cheeky young chappies who know nothing about machines!
