Nicholas Foster

Iam Nicholas Foster, a senior at Kilgore High School and the Kilgore FFA president. Throughout my career in FFA, I have participated in agriculture mechanics and many other activities, including leadership and career development teams. I have served as a District FFA officer and have advanced to the state contest in the farm business management contest. I plan to pursue a degree in the aeronautics field, where I will work with unmanned aircraft, also known as “drones.” I hope to apply the knowledge I will gain to pursue a career in the agriculture industry. I am thankful for the FFA and the opportunities I have had through this organization. I encourage you to come out to the Kilgore Project Show at the Leon Gibson Memorial Ag Farm on Friday, March 1. Visit with the students and find out about their projects! Then please join us on Saturday, March 2 to help purchase and reward the students of Kilgore FFA for a job well done with their livestock, agriculture mechanics and horticulture projects.

Kaylie Watkins

Hey, y’all, I’m Kaylie Watkins and this is my third year of showing livestock. I currently serve as your 23-24 chaplain. This year I have had the amazing opportunity to exhibit three projects. I have a purebred angus steer named Rouger, a lamb named Ranaldo and a Holland Lop Breeding Rabbit named Bear. I can’t wait to see y’all at the Kilgore Project Show to see all of the students hard work. Thank you.

Hello, My name is Ace Autrey and I’m a junior this year. I wanted to build something unique that would catch people’s attention, and I ended up coming up with this coffee table.

Gabe Arp

My name is Gabe Arp, and I have been showing with FFA since I was 8 years old. This is my second year to have a project at the Kilgore Show. I enjoy raising lambs and broilers. I want to improve my performance every year to grow as a showman. This year I am showing a lamb, and I work with my lamb after school and on the weekends. I appreciate the support that the community has shown to me and other students that participate in the Kilgore Show. I look forward to seeing everyone.

Reagen Pettey

Hello, I am Reagen Pettey. I will be showing a lamb project at the Kilgore Show this year. I would appreciate any support you would give to me or other students!

My name is Bently Quebedeaux. I am a seventh-grader at Kilgore Middle School. This is my second showing with Kilgore FFA. I have showed roasters or broilers at local and major shows since I started. I really enjoy poultry because I like being around animals and raising them. I look forward to showing broilers at the Kilgore Youth Project and appreciate your support.

Beth Ann Main

Hello, Kilgore: My name is Beth Ann Main, I am a third-grader at Chandler Elementary. I am so excited to finally be in Junior FFA and be able to show in the Kilgore Project Show! This year I have raised several projects. First, my steer. He is a Maine cross steer, and his name is Fred. I have had Fred since this summer, and I can already tell you that I love to raise cattle! Next, I have a market sheep named Dude. I will also be showing a few horticulture projects at the KYPS. Other than FFA, I am also involved in the Chandler Student council and am on the UIL Oral Reading Team. I hope you’re planning to come to the Kilgore show; I’d love to introduce you to Fred and Dude! Please come out and support myself and the other young people who have worked hard with their projects this year. It’s March 1-2. We hope to see you there!!

Ellie Jo Main

Howdy, Bulldogs. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Ellie Jo Main, a seventh-grader at Kilgore Middle School. This year for the Kilgore Youth Project Show I am raising two sheep. Their names are Tom and Jerry. After the Kilgore show, I plan to take one of my sheep to the Houston Livestock Show in a few weeks. I have had my sheep since the fall, and have had to put in a lot of time and effort to get them to cooperate like I want them to. Other than raising sheep, I also love plants and will be exhibiting a few horticulture projects at the Kilgore show this year. I am also involved in speaking contests, where I memorize prepared speeches and speak to judges and audiences about important agriculture topics. My current speech is about the future of technology in agriculture. Besides FFA, I am involved in several school activities. I am on the UIL prose team and am also involved in the KMS theater program. I was in the UIL One Act Play, where I received All Star Cast honors this year. I hope you can come to the Kilgore show to see myself as well as all the other students who have worked so hard this year! Thank you in advance for supporting the youth of Kilgore FFA

Kylie Cannedy

Hello, my name is Kylie Cannedy, and I will be exhibiting my Holland Lop breeding rabbits, along with my roasters at the Kilgore Youth Project show this year. I am in eighth grade, and it is my first year to attend Kilgore ISD and to be in the Kilgore Project show. I hope to see you at the show this year!

Andy Cid

Howdy! I am Andy Cid, a sophomore at Kilgore High School and a current Kilgore FFA officer. I will be showing an ag mechanics project at the Kilgore Show this year, as well as showing a custom built forge in a few weeks at the Houston Ag Mechanics show. I will also be serving as the Longview District Secretary this next year, and am proud to represent Kilgore as a Longview District Officer. I am on the poultry judging team and I compete in Spanish FFA Creed contests. I would appreciate any support you would give to me or other students! Come see us next week!

Kellen Murphy

My name is Kellen Murphy and I am in the seventh grade at Kilgore Middle School, where I am a student council member and a Starstepper. I have shown cattle for five years now, and I enjoy everything about raising and showing livestock. This year I am showing a market steer, a breeding heifer, a pen of market rabbits and a horticulture project. My steer was bred and born locally by the family of the namesake of our Ag Farm, Mr. Leon Gibson. He is a Black Angus and is super gentle. My heifer is a Beefmaster named 4M Stargazer. She is a red and white paint, and turned a year old in January. I hope to breed her to our beefmaster bull in April and raise a calf to show later. My market rabbits are Californians and are eating and growing well. I feed them every morning and every evening after weighing them. When it gets super cold, I have to make sure they stay warm and dry. Rabbits are fun to raise for me because I get to chart their weights and adjust their feed to make sure they are where they need to be at showtime. Horticulture is something I enjoy doing. I get to be creative and I love plants. This year I am making an ornamental design. I have shown horticulture projects for a few years now and hope to continue to improve.

Addison Murphy

My name is Addison Murphy! Joining FFA has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I am a freshman in high school, and this is my fifth year showing chickens. I spent a lot of quality time making sure they are thriving and growing. I showed roasters at Harvest Festival and broilers at Gregg County earlier this year. I was also on the radio team, and we made it to the state finals. I recently found out that I was selected for the poultry judging team this spring. I would really appreciate it if you would come to the Project Show and Sale to support me and my fellow FFA members.

Hailey Posey

Hello, my name is Hailey Posey and I am a senior this year. I have been a part of the Kilgore FFA for nine years now, and the Kilgore Project Show is my favorite time of the year. I cannot wait for the show and the sale, and I hope to see all of my community there this year!

Cason Quebedeaux

My name is Cason Quebedeaux. I am a sophomore at Kilgore High School. This is my second year showing for Kilgore FFA, and I’ve enjoyed it. I started with poultry and have won grand champion, reserve grand champion, and other places in sale, as well as showmanship at Harvest Festival. I am also participating in poultry judging for the second year, traveling to various towns in Texas competing against other schools. I like raising poultry because it gives me the opportunity to learn something new and show off the final product. I look forward to showing broilers at the Kilgore Youth Project Show and appreciate your support.

Matthew Hardy

My name is Matthew Hardy and I am a senior at Kilgore High School. This is my third year showing projects with Kilgore FFA, but my second year showing bunnies. This year, my friends and I built a 12-foot utility trailer and won first place in our class at Fort Worth. We will be showing the trailer at the Kilgore Show too. I am also a two time all-district winner in the football program. I’d like to see everyone come out to the Ag Farm March 1-2 and see all the cool and amazing things that the kids in our community have put together.

Karleigh Murphy

Hello, my name is Karleigh Murphy. I am a senior at Kilgore High School and vice president of the Kilgore FFA chapter. At this year’s Kilgore Project Show, I am exhibiting two beefmaster heifers, a pen of market rabbits, a horticulture project and a utility trailer. I’ve been showing cattle for 12 years; rabbits for four years; and horticulture and ag mechanics for two years. I have had so much fun and learned countless life lessons. Showing has provided me with various connections and the confidence to pursue my dreams. I am so excited to end my high school show career with a bang! The money collected from my projects will be put towards college. I have been accepted into Tarleton’s honors college, where I will major in agricultural services and development to become an ag teacher. I would like to invite anyone interested to the Kilgore FFA Ag Farm to help support the hard working kids of the Kilgore FFA chapter.

Jayci Moore

Hello, my name is Jayci Moore, and I’ve been apart of the Kilgore FFA for five years now. I have shown chickens and a goat, but this year I will be showing rabbits. I cannot wait for the show and the sale, and I hope to see all of my community there this year!

Kyler Fickett

My name is Kyler Fickett. I am a freshman in high school. I recently started showing chickens last year, and I have learned so much. I have learned responsibility and patience. It is a lot of fun going to the shows and getting to watch everyone bound and get along. I love learning and growing in the FFA community, and I would greatly appreciate it if you came and supported me and my fellow friends at the Kilgore show.
