Shapowei, is a tourist attraction located in Xiamen, China. There is a shoal in the middle of it, so it is suitable for parking boats during typhoon comes. Due to this, it was used to be a community of fishermen. And now, based on the government's policy, it became a tourist attraction that famous with the fishermen's cultural. This portfolio is a series of design done by me in Shapowei during 2014-2018. Including three architecture design and an exhibition related with this area. I'm trying to discuss a new type space language between private space and public space in three types of buildings (house, hotel and public building). My goal is to find a new architectural model to TYPHOON SHELTER
adapt to the fast-growing model of China today by maximizing the public space while ensuring the comfort and dimension of the private space.

This design try to combine a house and a public temple in one building, use a stairs to divide it into two parts (private vs public is 1:1), discuss a new way that the house how to open to its community.

Daxue Rd. No.100 uesd to belong to a family of oversea Chinese , than Lee aunt bought it in 1989.
Lee aunt built a 4 floors house in this site and made the fourth floor into a temple which they believed. She also sold fising tools in the fist floor.
Lee aunt rent the first floor to a tea bussines man.It became a tea shop.
Lee aunt rent the first and second floor into a coffee bar and a film studio. Her family lived in the third floor.

UABB 2017 Amoy Harbor Fisermen's Community Exhibition
INTRODUCTION Urban Fishing Village | Due to its unique social-spatial characteristics, the typhoon shelter area in Xiamen Harbor has become the core of the urban transformation experiment field and rapidly transformed into a gentrification space in recent years. Subsequently, these consuming landscapes quickly occupied the entire neighborhood. The ‘contesting landscape’ referred to in this exhibition is the spatial contesting process of the spontaneous consuming landscape and the original vernacular neighborhood during the transformation period. This exhibition is to create a friendly place for participants to experience, interact and reflect.

During my architectural career, I went to many areas and countries in the world to explore and discover

buildings in different cultures and regions. In the one year after graduation, I went to Europe twice to find the works of my favorite architects, Carlos Scarpa, Le Corbusier, Gaudi, etc., which gave me a lot of inspiration. In addition, conversations with some architectural enthusiasts during the trip also made me more impressed with
