A NOTE FROM RPI PROMOTIONS
There is a hint of green grass showing up on the hillsides in our area. You have to believe that we have a great start on a nice crop of grass in the pastures. The winter has been challenging at times but has been such an improvement over last year. As you move forward to kicking the calves out on grass and summer time weather, study the calves you have raised. If they have not met your goals for quality, type, and kind there is still time to change your breeding program. In the next two months, you will have plenty of options to purchase quality bulls and get what you are demanding out of your cattle. I truly believe that we are coming back to a much better market on cattle and we will be selling calves this summer and fall at a more profitable level. I do know an upswing in the bred cattle market has helped keep enthusiasm up. We need to keep a strong commitment to raising the best quality of cattle we can. Working together to get through these tough times is paramount. Our area cattlemen have a very important roll, as we continue to provide America with the best option for protein. NO QUESTION!!
