Family and friends are invited to join campers in the last half hour of camp on Fridays.

Campers will be able to showcase their creations, teach what they’ve learned, and share adventures they’ve experienced throughout the week. ** Campers should be dropped off/picked up at Chalco Hills Recreation Area**

Our Spark Adventure Camps offer week-long, part-day, summer camps for children grades 1st - 6th. We have partnered with Circle Theater, Doodle Booth and Chalco Hills Recreation Area, along with Spark Adventure staff using EdVentures curriculum to provide STEAM-based camps, designed to provide your child with fun, hands-on learning this summer. 1ST - 3RD GRADE CAMPS BrickLAB Zoo Grades: 1st - 3rd Cost: $160 Welcome to BrickLAB Zoo camp, where creativity and bricks bring the animal kingdom to life!

Campers will explore exciting ecosystems like deserts, oceans, and mountains while building animal models and designing habitats. With hands-on STEM challenges, teamwork, and problem-solving, they’ll create a one-of-a-kind brick zoo that celebrates Earth’s incredible biomes!

Dirt & Discovery Grades: 1st - 3rd

Cost: $160

Dirt Camp is an action-packed adventure where campers dig in, get messy, and explore the amazing world of soil! From making mudshakes and testing erosion to building beaver dams and animal burrows, campers discover how plants, animals, and dirt work together in nature. With fun experiments and hands-on challenges, every day is a muddy, unforgettable journey!

Spark Adventure Camps 1ST - 3RD GRADE CAMPS

Unleash Your Wild Side Grades: 1st - 3rd Cost: $160 Discover the wonders of nature at Unleash Your Wild Side camp! Each day takes young adventurers through incredible habitats, with activities like crafting camouflage masks, food chains, and creating art inspired by plants and animals. Campers will explore survival strategies, ignite their creativity, and make lasting memories in this fun interactive art camp!

Ahoy Mateys! Grades: 1st - 3rd Grade

Cost: $160

Ahoy, mateys! Set sail on a pirate adventure where you’ll build catapults, tie knots, and design treasure maps while tackling exciting STEM challenges. Each day brings thrilling pirate tales and hands-on activities that spark curiosity and teamwork. The week wraps up with an epic treasure hunt and Pirate-themed Jeopardy for an unforgettable grand finale!

Nature Quest Grades: 1st - 3rd

Cost: $160

**CAMP LOCATION: CHALCO HILLS RECREATION AREA Embark on a nature-filled adventure at Chalco Hills with Spark Adventure Camps and Papio NRD! This camp blends outdoor exploration, hands-on science, and group activities like insect netting, nature hikes, animal encounters, and creative crafts. Campers will wrap up their experience with a special family fishing event, all while fostering curiosity, teamwork, and a love for nature in the beautiful Chalco Hills Recreation Area.

Rockin' Robots Grades: 1st - 3rd

Cost: $180

Calling all programmers and musicians! Rockin’ Robots is your chance to use Sphero indi robots on a guided tour through the STEAMtastic fusion of music and robotics. Campers explore C-Major scale, craft instruments, and program their robots to create music, all while learning about engineering and coding principles.

BOT Builder Grades: 1st - 3rd Cost: $180 Unleash your creativity at Cubelets® BOT Builder, where campers bring robots to life with innovative Modular Robotics building blocks! From the playful Waddle-Bot to the bucking Rodeo-Bot, campers build dynamic robots that move, sense, and adapt. With scaffolded lessons and hands-on STEM adventures, this camp sparks discovery and showcases the limitless possibilities of robotics.

No Strings Attached is a theatre camp led by Circle Theatre, designed for youth of all abilities. Campers will bring a Pinocchio inspired play to life through theatre games, creative movement, music, and puppet-building, exploring themes of identity, kindness, and what it means to be “real.” In the showcase on the final day, campers will demonstrate inclusion, collaboration, and creativity in a shared space.

What do Wallace and Gromit, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Coraline have in common? They’re beloved claymation characters that bring magical stories to life! At this camp, campers design quirky characters, explore animation techniques, and create their own stop-motion films, culminating in a film festival on the final day.

Discover Podcasting

Grades: 4th - 6th Cost: $180

Podcasting is a fast-growing platform for sharing ideas, and now’s your chance to join the movement! Campers will learn to create captivating stories, record with professional tools, and enhance their work with unique sound effects. By exploring different podcast styles and mastering audio storytelling, they’ll create their own podcast to debut at the exciting Podcastpalooza showcase.

Nature Navigators

Led by educators from the Spark Program and Papio NRD, this camp features daily themes like water systems, wildlife, and outdoor skills through activities like hikes and geocaching. The week wraps up with Dutch oven cooking and family fishing, creating unforgettable memories and a deeper connection to the natural world.

Team up to master safe flying, tackle real-world challenges, and dive into the science of drone physics through hands-on adventures. Traveling Artist Grades: 4th - 6th Cost: $160 Join the Traveling Artist camp for a whirlwind adventure through art and culture from around the world! Paint Matryoshka dolls, weave colorful Peruvian textiles, create Chinese dragons, and design bold Aztec masks. Campers explore, create, and bring global traditions to life in the most fun and colorful way!

BricQ Motion: Going the Distance Grades: 4th - 6th Cost: $160 Get ready for nonstop fun with BricQ Motion LEGOs, where building meets science in the coolest way! You’ll design sail cars, sink basketball free throws, and test bobsled speeds while discovering the secrets of forces and motion. With awesome challenges and teamwork, every day is a blast of creativity and learning!

This art camp is led by the artists behind The Storybook Doodle Booth. Campers use their creativity and imagination to design characters of their very own – from humans and animals to imaginary creatures and everyday objects brought to life. Through hands-on activities, they’ll learn how shapes, colors, and expressions convey personality and emotion while exploring the basics of storytelling through art. Campers will leave with a one-of-a-kind character and the skills to keep building their story beyond camp.

Simple Machines

Grades: 4th - 6th Cost: $160

Ignite your camper’s curiosity with an exciting introduction to mechanical engineering!

Through hands-on STEM builds, they’ll explore simple machines like levers, pulleys, and inclined planes, gradually progressing to more advanced engineering concepts. Along the way, they’ll discover how these simple machines are at work in everyday tools and objects all around them. This collaborative enrichment experience helps children develop problemsolving skills while designing machines they can be proud of.

Animal Care Basics Grades: 4th - 6th
