Australian made

Many of our Roastar products including our Roastar® cups and our innovative, high-barrier, kerbside recyclable coffee bag are manufactured in our own, Australian HACCP certified facilities. By investing in local manufacturing, we support our local economy, and reduce carbon footprint for ourselves and our customers.

Sustainably sourced paper

Roastar® cups and The Good Cup are made with paper sourced from certified managed plantation forests. Paper is both renewable and recyclable, contributing to a circular economy where materials can be reused to produce new products.

Water based inks

We only use water-based inks for printing Roastar® cups, The Good Cup, coffee bags and other products. These inks are free from harmful toxic chemicals, and are made from naturally occurring substances.

Recyclable

Roastar’s high-barrier coffee bag is APCO approved and fully kerbside recyclable. You don’t even have to remove the vent before adding it to your household recycle bin!

An increased consumer-led focus on sustainability has driven many changes to coffee packaging over the past few years. Changes in legislation around single use plastics and recycling programs have often required compromises in packaging structure that has been detrimental to the quality and lifespan of coffee beans. Compostable packaging aligns with sustainability guidelines, but it won’t adequately protect beans from moisture, oxidation or flavour degradation, not to mention that commercial composting requires access to dedicated collection and processing facilities. While soft plastic bags may adequately protect beans, Australia’s defunct REDCycle program has revealed large-scale underutilisation of soft plastic recycling options.

Roastar has entered the market to introduce locally made options that are good for the beans and good for the planet. Our parent company, MPM Marketing Services, has a proud history of research and development, bringing revolutionary and exciting products to the Australian and New Zealand food packaging market for more than 50 years.

TOO GOOD TO KEEP A LID A LID ON IT.

Our unique, patented paper cup comes with an integrated top flap that easily folds and locks into place which eliminates lids altogether. Made from sustainably sourced, compostable paper, The Good Cup is PLA-free.

Because no lids are required, switching to The Good Cup means a 40% reduction on storage space, transport volume and carbon footprint. Removing lids, dualfill cups and the option to do away with straws will reduce SKU’s. This means lower costs and a healthier planet.

Customers will have a superior drinking experience with The Good Cup. The secure lid locking (haptic response) and spill-proof design is a welcome

feature for both baristas and consumers, while the curved design aligns with the mouth’s contour to ensure the spout is always positioned perfectly.

The unique design of The Good Cup ensures that your branding will always be ‘front and centre’ when consumers drink or hold it. Custom printing is available and you can now print on the integrated lid – prime real estate to reinforce your brand or highlight a marketing message.

The Good Cup is perfect for hot or cold beverages – sleeves are available for comfort, and the integrated lid features a straw slot. The range consists of sizes from 6oz up to 22oz, including dual-fill options with fill capacity indicator.

Nearly all of our range can be custom printed with your brand or imagery. You can start with a short minimum order quantity of 24,000 coffee cups for a short print that will get you in the hands of your customers in only 6 weeks.

Artwork

Our in-house graphic designers can either convert or enter your artwork onto our template for approval. Please ensure that the design is finalised prior to submitting your artwork to us. This means all the elements in your concept such as any text, logos, etc. have all been confirmed. We have an in-house graphic designer who will fit it into our template, however any changes to the design after this has been done may incur extra charges.

Delivery

We deliver to locations across Australia and New Zealand. The freight cost and delivery time will be determined once you provide us with your delivery postcode. We deliver in unmarked cartons with no marks identifying our company.
