*Free tickets are required for the Roz Puppets show and will be available at the Mishawaka Youth Services desk beginning Monday, October 11. Due to the popularity of this show, the last 50 tickets of each show will be held for MPHPL cardholders (please bring your library card when you pick up tickets). Limit ten tickets per adult.

STORYTIMES IN PERSON STORYTIMES Registration is required for in-person storytimes for each monthly series. Caregivers are expected to participate in activities as able.

Photo Policy - We often take pictures at library events to use in library marketing materials and on our website, if you do not want us to use a picture of you or your child, please tell a librarian prior to the event.

VIRTUAL STORYTIMES Registration is required for each monthly series. Participants will receive an email with registration confirmation and kit pick up information. An additional email reminder will be sent weekly containing the secured meeting link to attend Zoom sessions. Attendance is expected for live sessions; recordings are not available.

Children must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Books & Babies is a structured 20 minute program that combines short rhymes, songs, fingerplays, movement activities, and books to introduce children to the wonder of language. Sessions are limited to 15 participants.

Robert Muller, author of several Fields of War battlefield visitor guides and contributor to WWII History Magazine and WWII Quarterly, paints the picture of Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944 and provides insight into the how and where the Normandy Invasion took place. Learn about the individuals from the U.S. 1st and 29th Infantry Divisions who overcame the German defenses and the men of the U.S. 2nd Ranger Battalion who captured the German gun positions at Pointe du Hoc. They are the men responsible for the success of the risky endeavor we call D-Day. Period photographs show what it was like in 1944 and contemporary photographs show what some of these battle sites look like today. The presentation ends with a visit to Normandy American Cemetery, site of the bloodiest of the fighting and now a fitting tribute to these men’s sacrifices.

What do I need for a library card at the Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library?

To obtain your Library card you must: 1. Live in Penn or Harris Township, or have a home Library card from a Library system which is reciprocal with MPHPL (some restrictions may apply).

Lending Limits: - Books, Audiobooks, Magazines - No Limit - Music CDs – 20 per card - New Release Movies - 3 per card - Entertainment Movies - 20 per card - Non-Fiction Movies/TV Series - 20 per card - Playaway Views - 2 per card

Loan Periods:

2. Provide required documentation (1) a valid photo ID with current address OR (2) a valid photo ID and proof of current address
