Out-of-This-World Cup Stacking with Mr. Jim Monday, June 10 10:30-11:30 am All Ages Youth Activity Room Join Mr. Jim, a national school presenter, educator, and author, for an out-of-this-world program! Children will build their own space station, towering rockets, and more out of Speed Stack® cups. Parents must remain in the room. Free tickets (needed for children only) are required for this program and will be available at the Mishawaka Youth Services desk beginning Tuesday, May 28. The Roz Puppets Present: The Boy Who Saw Martians Friday, June 14 10:30-11 am All Ages Youth Activity Room When a young shepherd is given a second chance at watching the village sheep after several false wolf alarms, he is eager to prove himself trustworthy. But while performing his "sheeply" duties, questions arise as the wooly creatures begin to disappear. Can the events be connected to a mysterious visitor's arrival? Will the village ever trust the shepherd again? Find out as The Roz Puppets perform this hilarious sequel to the classic Aesop Fable. Bring the whole family to our Fandom Funfest! We’ll have a variety of fandom-themed activities throughout the day, including a storytime and crafts for the kids, gaming & escape room for teens and adults, and an all ages cosplay costume contest! United Youth Theatre Presents Willy Wonka, Jr. Monday, July 15 2:30-3:30 pm All Ages Youth Activity Room Come join UYT, Michiana’s premier youth theatre, on a magical and delicious adventure with their summer production of Willy Wonka Jr. Performed by 4-12 graders from all over Michiana, this story follows the mysterious candy man Willy Wonka in his quest to find the heir to his spectacular chocolate factory. Perfect for all ages, this musical is one for the whole family to enjoy! Free tickets are required and will be available at the Mishawaka Youth Services desk beginning Monday, July 1. Zoo-to-You Wednesday, July 17 10:30-11:15 am All Ages Youth Activity Room Potawatomi Zoo’s Zoo-to-You Outreach Program is a way for people to connect with animals outside the zoo. Zoo educators and ambassador animals will be visiting the library for a uniquely fun and “ed-zoo-cational” experience that you won’t want to miss! Adult caregivers must remain in the room. Get Your Code On Wednesday, July 24 3-4 pm Ages 8-11 Youth Activity Room Come join us in the Friends Learning Center where we will hone our coding skills through fun games such as Minecraft™: Hero’s Journey and Building a Galaxy with Code. Whether you are a new or experienced coder, we’ll have something for you! Children may come into the room independently; adult caregivers must remain in the library. Registration is required.
