Teen Summer Reading Program Entering Grades 6-12
Summer Reading Program June 8 – August 8 Beginning Monday, June 8, keep track of minutes spent reading or listening to audiobooks or the number of books read. Track your progress using our online program, READsquared at mphpl.readsquared.com or use our paper reading log!
This summer, YOU get to decide how you log your reading! Choose between the minute path or book path: • If you choose our minutes path, for every 300 minutes read, earn an entry slip for a chance to win an end of summer prize. Reading incentive prizes will be given at the 300, 600, and 900 minute levels. • If you choose our book path, every 3 books read will earn you an entry slip for a chance to win an end of summer prize. Reading incentive prizes will be given at the 3, 6, and 9 book levels. END OF SUMMER PRIZES TEENS ENTERING GRADES 6-12 Earn a digital raffle ticket for a chance to win an end of summer prize for every 300 minutes read!

Adult Summer Reading Program Ages 18+ Start logging the titles you read using our online program, READsquared, or by submitting paper progress slips during your library visits! Earn an entry into our end of summer prize drawing for each book read. The last day to earn prize drawing entries is Saturday, August 8.
e-Sports D&D Teens ™
Mondays: June 1-July 27 1-3 pm | Grades 8-12 Adventurers! Ready your sword-arm and prepare your spells! The library is looking for aspiring heroes to join us every Monday for D&D! New players are encouraged and we will cover the basics of character creation. To sign up, visit our website, click on Events > Calendar and find the June 1 date. You will receive an email detailing how to get started before game day. Huzzah!
D&D Quest Girls
Wednesdays: June 3-July 29 1-3 pm | Grades 8-12 In search of adventure? MPHPL will be running a weekly Dungeons & Dragons™ adventure for a group of 5 girls seeking to test their mettle in a fantasy world of heroes and villains! The game will be run on the roll20 virtual platform, and you will only need a computer/microphone/internet access to play. Beginners are encouraged to join, and once signed up (visit our website, click on Events > Calendar and find the June 3 date) you will receive an email detailing how to get started before game day. Join the Quest Girls and see what dangers and excitement lie ahead!
Adult Dungeons & Dragons ™ Saturdays: June 6, June 20, July 18 11 am-4:45 pm | Adults (18+)
Desperate to get your Dungeons & Dragons™ fix? We understand that adulthood can make finding a group difficult, so we will be hosting a one-shot campaign for five heroes with the sternest of mettle! Attendees will be allowed to prepare a 6th level character in advance using ONLY the 5E Player’s Handbook as a resource. For those registrants unable to do so, a pre-made character will be provided. Beginners are welcome. To sign up, visit our website, click on Events > Calendar and register for the date of your choice.
League of Legends™ Every Thursday 1-5 pm | Ages 14-24 Summoners unite! Want to keep your League skills sharp? Add our Programming Gamer Adam (Shadybug) as a friend on League and ask for an invite to the MPHPL Club. Adam will be running a LoL session every Thursday from 1-5 pm.
Teen Crafternoon
1st Wednesdays: June 3 & July 1 4 pm | Grades 6-12 Are you a creative person? Get your craft on with us during teen crafternoons! We’ll be working with yarn, magazines, and more. Teens that would like to craft along with one another can email k.mclaughlin@mphpl.org to receive invite to join the Zoom sessions; others can tune in to Facebook Live for a craft walk-through.

Murder & Mayhem in Mishawaka Tuesday, July 14 6:30 pm | Adults (18+) Join us on Zoom as award winning journalist Gary Sosniecki presents his book “The Potato Masher Murder.” He will tell the true story of the violent 1906 murder of his greatgrandmother, Cecilia Henderson Ludwig, by her second husband, Albin Ludwig, in Mishawaka.
