Mr. Jim’s Magical Outdoor Adventure is an indoor magic show about the outdoors and is designed for the entire family. Mr. Jim will mystify with magic as we explore the outdoors around us. Keep your eyes on the path and the sky as we encounter everything from dinosaur bones to dangerous flying insects! Plan now to join us! During this 30 minute exploration session, children will use their imaginations to answer “what if” questions based on the fairytale Cinderella retold by Max Eilenberg & Niamh Sharkey. What if you had to design and make the carriage to get Cinderella to the ball? What if you had to create a shoe for Cinderella so it wouldn’t slip off? What if you had to design the castle for Cinderella and the prince to live in? Some creations will be take-home, while other creations will use supplies from our STEAM cart.

Start your weekend off right with some trivia!

Join us for a morning of snacks, beverages and music trivia. Participants will have to guess songs from various decades. Feel free to bring family and/or friends but know that you will be competing against them; there will be no teams during this trivia!

You’re lost in the multiverse and must find your way back home; can you make it back to Earth-616 before time runs out? Make sure to bring help: teams must have at least two members. Teams will register for a 20 minute time slot; time preferences will be given on a first come, first served basis.

Lending Limits: What do I need for a Library card?

To obtain your Library card you must:

1. Live in Penn or Harris township, or have a home Library card from a Library system which is reciprocal with MPHPL (some restrictions may apply).

2. Provide required documentation: (1) a valid photo ID with current address OR (2) a valid photo ID and proof of current address

if ID address is not current OR (3) a valid photo ID and a valid resident home

Library card for reciprocal applicants 3. A parent/legal guardian's signature is required for any minor under the age of 18 wishing to register for or renew a Library card. *Non-residents may purchase a fee card. Contact Circulation Services for prices.

If your card has been lost or stolen, please call Circulation Services at any MPHPL location. You are financially responsible for material that is checked out until you report your card lost or stolen.

Renewals:

Placing a hold is free and available for all materials, excluding new release DVDs.
